This could be the best TE Draft class i've ever seen.
receiving TE's
Howard and Butt are combo TE's, but yeah most TE's today are just big WR's.
Not sure about that but there are alot of Jordan Reed, Eifort type guys. Tweeners that are fast and run good routes like a wide out but have the size and Physicality too win the 50/50 balls. Best in a while but back when Reed, Eifort & Ertz came in was a good TE draft.
viviandarkbloom100 Let's not forget about 2013 tightened class now Travis Kelec,Jordan Reed, Zack Ertz, and Tyler Effert let's not get ahead of ourselves now lol.
One guy way undervalued I think is Jason Croom out of Tennessee. He converted to tight end from Wide Receiver for last year, his senior year. He came back from an injury. 6'4. 246. Runs a 4.59. He is supposed to go undrafted. He was not used much at Tennessee but I think if a team is patient with him he could help them a lot.
Been following him since he was a QB in Highschool. Kid got talent.
Finally, a highlight song that doesn't suck.
Damn Vikings got another steal!
Deaven Magnuson thanks
Deaven Magnuson ikr third round talent imo
Panthers #1
Cevanfx this is why people should never listen to idiots like you on the internet. Kid was a bust. 😂😂
raheyna8888 how lmao
Alot of good backs great job getting the videos out. Really enjoy scouting these guys. Good RB class I want 2.
Jets
who else is here cause the vikes picked him up. skol
me we can do the 2 tight end set now with a good run game sam has so many weapons now
not crazy about the name Bucky but this dude passes the eye-test. Kyle Rudolph' stay alert ...
His real name is Temuchin. Which is also Ghengis Khans original name.
Panthers
Dude dope song for a dope player.
Ace Solomon, I was a fan of Larry Donnell and loved the element he brought to the field at times and in the red zone "green zone" (hope they get back to red zone) but can you honestly tell me you trusted him on the field? I was hopeful that he would clean it up but he just didn't prove himself trustworthy. Drops fumbles and lack of YAC were just out weighing his upside and he also was a poor blocker. Will Johnson wasn't expected to get a season ending stinger and will be back and Matt LaCrosse is developing still and has high hopes from the coaching staff. How do I know? They extended his contract, that's how. Jarrell Adams now has an opportunity to prove himself and an athletic fast match up nightmare over the middle would be welcomed with open arms by the Giants in this pass happy league. Perhaps a David Njoku but the Giants don't typically draft that high at TE but will he be best player available? Who knows? Go Big Blue! Stop hating on your own fans Ace, share some light if you disagree with us
I know it's a highlight video, but this guy's got crazy good hands
Eh. If you had watched him his whole career, you'd know that's not the case. He'll make an unbelievable catch, but then he'll turn around and drop one that should be an easy routine completion.
he ain't scared to go over the middle
just read patriots are looking at picking up this guy in 4th Rd. reminds me of Hernandez but with even more speed. best of luck where ever you go Hodges
SKOOOOOL!!!!
There's the Vikes red-zone threat......
cuz imryte panthers now thanks
Jets need a TE period especially someone like this young man.
would be a wasted pick. the kid cant block. not sure what he does well besides run a 4.5something. doesnt high point the ball. falls down every time he catches the ball. offers nothing after the catch. not a sudden athlete at all. rounds off routes. plays soft. kid is gonna get drafted way too high. i would rather have george kittle later in the draft. prob the best blocking te int he draft and a far superior athlete. injury concerns, but when healthy he was a productive, reliable receiver. only one dropped ball in his entire college career
KJ Jackson lol jets just got him
Hoping Steelers, Cowboys, or Seahawks for my Bucky! He is AWESOME!!!
Vikings should really consider trying him at WR. He is a burner for a TE.
Skol Vikings
He's a JET NOW!!
Steelers!!!!! Great Pickup
Welcome to New York!
I like how mean this guy is.. vikings need a guy like him on offense. Him and Rudy going to be fire
Welcome aboard!
looks like a solid compliment to Gronk
Welcome To The Burgh!
Best draft overall
reminds me of aaron hernandez so much potential
ATL GANG
JETS
Skolll!!!!
Now he plays for the jets
Giants
TheElite121 Vikings actually
TheElite121 Skol Vikings
Panther Nation
Do jerod Evans
I thought this guy was a late second round early 3rd my vikes got a steal
what song is this?
watch #57 of VT at 0:16
does he hug the defensive player in celebration? LOL
This happens all the time in football, every game. It wasn't a hug but more a tap to the helmet. More a sign or show of respect amongst competitors than a celebration.
49ers 3rd round based on his upside Box out ability , alone he could be 2nd round Talent alone
9ers rnd2 #2
Patriots.
He alright but I'm like OJ Howard more welcome to the Vikings
what the song called please
Jean Claude Van Damme song (odd name) It is on youtube.
Why is he still on the board in round 6?😐
nasir casso Because every team knew he would be a bust which he was. Why people on the web have no idea what their talking about.
raheyna8888 how is he a bust he didnt even get a chance to play
I know he's a TE but he's just a receiver in TE position. Whoever takes him should make him lose 15lbs or so. He would be much faster and would be a true receiver.
vikings
the next Pittsburgh Steeler TE?
What Round you thinking? 2nd? It's a very deep class at TE. I'm thinking they look at that position from 3rd round on.
Maybe second or third round
whats this song
Wynston Williams g4shi -Jean claude van dam
Don't let this distract you from the fact Gods Gift has never caught a ball standing up (with his hands) and continued to run.
Eric Paris
I noticed that too.
he tends to go down on a leaping catch every time.
Eric Paris he did in this video at 2:03
Eric Paris 2:13
Not sure we watched the same video
you don't need to run when you're in the endzone
who's the qb?
number 12...he can sling it
OH MY GOD. He reminds me so much of the legend himself leapin' Larry Donnell on the New York Giants. Probably the most disliked Giants player since Preston Parker. Leapin' Larry was the most awkward football player. He would land on his back and his head more than he would on his feet after catching the ball. For God Sakes New York Giants front office, don't do this to your fans. Let the leapin' Larry disease infect another fan base.
giants drafting either hodges or everett from south alabama
You're either a fake Giants fan or you're plain stupid. Neither one can run block for cents.
Ace Solomon what about Evan engram? He can't block but they still took him.
Kevin Watson Vikings actually
Saints 2nd round. Team him up with Fleener, Thomas, Cooks, and Snead.
too high .... i will like if we take him in 3rd or 4th ...
Phillip Walker well cooks gone so he can be a wr
Martez Downer With Cooks gone probably take Curtis Samuels in the 3rd or Carlos Henderson in the 2nd. Probably still can get Bucky Hodges's in the 3rd.
To the brainless Giants fans who want this guy, take note that he doesn't like blocking AND isn't good at it. I'd rather take Leggett. Butt, or even Sprinkle in the 3rd-4th round than reach for this guy in the 2nd round
Ace Solomon Will Johnson and Jerell Adams are the blockers. we have no receiving threat at TE.
Kevin Whitter They had one in Larry Donnell, it's just that Ben Mc-A-FOOL didn't know how to use him properly. Either let him run a 20 yard post/seam route & throw the ball up in the air for him to grab or use him in the red zone as a fade option with one on one coverage against a corner.
As clumsy as he is even 6-6 Donnell could beat a 6-1 corner or 6-2 safety if left alone on an island with single coverage.
Haven't you noticed why the offense Red Zone scoring % pct went down this year? They stopped using Donnell in the Red Zone. What happened in 2014 when Donnell scored ALL his touchdowns in the red zone?
It scared defensive coordinators & they started leaving Odell on single coverage.
Even if he wasn't targeted his presence alone caught opposing defenses attention.
At the end of the day I know you're going to disagree with me & say that Donnell was a terrible player so let me save you the trouble of saying that
While I wouldn't say terrible, he was limited to only being a red zone threat & a deep threat down the middle. Just watch his highlights & you'll see where he's done most of his damages in two spots: Intermediate passes & Red zone scoring.
While he wasn't a complete receiving threat, he was definitely a possession-type tight end who might be used better elsewhere with a competent offensive coordinator.
McAdoo is softer than a new born baby's bottom
Ace Solomon College don't normally run a scheme that have TE block. They are receiving threats and shouldn't be wasting their talents blocking if they can't do it or want to.
New York Giants Blood!!!! Then thats gonna be a problem. Can't expect Reese to take someone who isn't adequate at best in blocking.
They need to block well if they're going to see playtime on offense
i agree. gmen would be wasting a pick on this kid. oversized receiver who shows limited athleticism and plays generally soft. doesnt use his size to his advantage. and for some reason can not catch the ball without falling down haha
Hands are too suspect for me
Dustin Blevins lol what are you saying buddy?
Luke Hutchings Dude will bust
What video did you watch?
MrJsaar watched games...prob why he was a 6th rounder lol
Dustin I am not overly familiar with this guy I just see what I see from the small sample but still looks like a steal in the 6th round. Almost every catch in this video is either heavily contested (DBs flagged) or poor passes from QB. If you have a larger sample of his play then I'm sure you have more insight then I do but still as I said a 6th rounder? Some experts were projecting 3-4 for this kid so I will take it as a Vikings fan.
He's so damn slow
he's got good speed for a TE
keyman1597 say what??
keyman1597 u trippin
but not TE blocking
ran a 4.58 40 at the combine at 6' 6''
Overrated. Nothing after the catch
Connor Hein not all tight ends are like that. they're supposed to be just a security blanket and a distraction from your main receiver
Connor Hein good joke
Watch the damn video again and tell me where he had much opportunity. Lots of shit passes, diving for balls and defenders getting flagged for raping him and he still makes the catch. 6th round steal
Did we watch the same video?
Connor Hein how do you make a play after the catch when you just dove for the ball, or it was thrown to the ground/at the feet?
Giants
How many of you dumbass Giants fans exist? They need a TE that can CATCH AND BLOCK. Not either/or, A COMPLETE TIGHT END.
foreal. thats why they ran out of 3 wr set all year. cuz dumbasses like jba.15 just see the hands and thats all
Ace Solomon They are looking for a stretch TE. Adams is the blocker. plus Will Johnson will be back who is also a blocker. We have no Receiving threat at TE to attack Cover 2 seams in the middle.
Kevin Whitter LARRY FUCKING DONNELL. Whenever he made plays, it was across the MIDDLE OF THE FIELD.
Just watch this 2 minute highlight - /watch?v=l2bVdGw3Zc4
they just stopped running these plays with him for no reason at all.
I had NO PROBLEMS with Larry making a leaping catch down the field & falling down afterwards. At least I wouldn't have to squinch my eyes from seeing another fumble.
But aside his follies, Donnell was a possession receiving threat & his now former dumbass coach couldn't realize his 6-6 behemoth actually made a difference in the red zone when he ACTUALLY used him.
That's all I have to say since this is my second reply. I understand your theory but they've been doing that BS since Kevin Boss left & frankly it's time to move on from that.
Two names to look out for:
1) O.J. Howard, Alabma - obvious
2) Jordan Leggett, Clemson - underrated, can do it all & could be a steal if available to the Giants in the 3rd round
Those are the two best complete tight ends in this draft & they both will help the Giants offense in both receiving & blocking at the TE position. Aside Jake Butt & maybe Evan Engram, I would be dissatisfied with anyone else
Cuz dude has uncurable fumblitis and fall on the ground for no apparent reason after a catch in the open field = ing no YAC yards disease...
