    I love this series of your home improvements. The landscaping between the driveway and the house looks great. Love how the Milwaukee worked out for you. Batteries are the way to go now. Just hope they can stand up to vibration in the long term. Great job Dave!

    First time I have seen someone other there people in southern Manitoba use a power trowel on a driveway. Been doing it for 26 years now. This is the normal around here.

      If you power trowel exterior concrete in an area that gets freeze thaw it is very likely to delaminate the surface. I’m in upstate NY and that’s a big no-no.

    Nice job especially skillful with power trowels in not wrecking the stamped border, slab looks great. The coating you had applied to area next to garage for me looks great but always eventually detaches because concrete and fibreglass have different expansion rates that cause delamination after time is this product different? What do you do if power trowel battery goes flat spares for my hand tools are costly I imagine the ones for the power trowel must cost a lot more? It is sure nice to use indoors with no exhaust fumes. Ray Stormont

    I've gone 39 years of my life never hearing the word "Pickle Ball" and in like the last month I've heard it like 500 times. I still don't understand it or any idea what it is. But it sounds like the name of a prn movie.

      Its fun, its just like tennis but you play with wood paddles and hard whiffle balls on a smaller court. Fun and fast game especially when playing doubles.

    Flat stakes in the az desert are horrible. Round is stronger and able to force/squeeze in.

    Prefer the hand finish trowel over the power trowel. It left too many obvious swirls.

      though i do agree, compared to a decade ago, battery powered tools have come a long way. I can only imagine where they'll be in another 10 years

      I think for me the battery powered is the tool I'll be using now.
      I can let it set indefinitely and will always work as long as the battery is charged.
      Maintenance free.

      I’m retired now but I sure as heck wish I had battery operated power towels when we had to finish slabs inside of enclosed buildings in the middle of the northeast winters. That SUCKED with gas powered equipment let me tell you. It’s a wonder we made it out of some of those jobs alive.

    Middle of the summer 98 degrees 80 yards of concrete, your employees forgot to charge the batteries. That was one of the most miserable days at work in the last 20 years. That piece of junk is bouncing around at the shop. Totally wasted money

    So, 2 to 3 batteries, 30 minute charge time, power required to recharge, or a 2 gal can of gas
    That's a no-brainer. Throw that electric crap in the dumpster
    I'd like to know your opinion if Milwaukee hadn't gave you that tool.

      How long does your alternator work on your car or your flashlight, try thinking of other things on a smaller scale that have been in use for a long time, and how long they last?
      Electric motors on fans and many more things
