You can purge the air out quicker AND get the siphon started using a spa jet through one end of the house. Just use low setting for a few seconds to avoid stirring up the debris. Been doing this for years - works great
Great tip. I'm new to cleaning / caring for spas but my neighbor bough one a few years ago and their doing AirBnB so I'm learning. I noticed some sand at the bottom and didn't know how to get it out without resorting to a shop vac or pump. Can't wait to try it.
drill pump a battery drill 3/4 hose to 1/4 " hose tied to a stick long enough to reach the bottom of the hot tub..a nylon over drill pump outlet attach drill turn it on it sucks water grit up through the drill pump and out the outlet into the nylon bag water goes back into the hot tub.. less than $12.75 total. in hoses.
What a DUMB way to do something so simple. Just Get a Super Soaker Toy from the 99cent Store and just pullback on the handle and its sucks up fast and accurartely .
Nice video, worked for me!! Must be a kiwi with that ingenuity 😁
Perfect! Thanks you just saved me some $$ from buying something else I didn't need.

Mate, thank you ! Such a good and simple tip. Best wishes from Cambridge UK.
Thanks for thinking of a way so incredibly basic that I now feel boarder line challenged for not coming to the same conclusion. Much appreciated!
Perfect short video, thanks - from Provo, UT, USA.
Thanks for making this video champion
Worked great, thanks. Helps to wait 10-15 min with hets off before doing it to let the sand/debris fall to the bottom
You are the best. Thank you 🎉
Thanks for saving me money!
Good old kiwi ingenuity the number 8 wire mentality , brilliant. Thanks
😊 thank you 👍🏾
Keeping it simple !!!
Great advice! Thank you.
Thank you!
You can put the hose up to a jet that's on too to create a syphon
WOW thank you so much for this! Works perfectly 👏😁
That’s how ppl
Should save money ! Great
Good stuff : )
Thank you so much!!!!
It's a bit difficult to get it down to the floor of the spa though. I'm thinking of attaching a stick to my siphon hose.
You king
Great thanks
genius I almost bought a fancy vacuum haha
Duct tape a sinker on the end...
Classic kiwi bloke, legend.

This wastes water and chemicals
siphon into a bucket, then when done cleaning, pour water back into spa slowly (as to not re-introduce the dirt particles)
No. You just pour all the water and chemical back in through a fine mesh filter. Only the debris is removed. Zero waste
So weird you look my husband in the face.
