Thanks so much for sharing! Yes, we are very careful to not park in truck spots!! Fortunately, this one had a separate section for RVs. And, thanks to your daughter for all that she does for us. Big Tanya TURN IT UP! 👍
Hi there! I'm a huge fan, thank for all you do! I was wondering why is was possibly an issue with you balancing your rig? I don't understand why a place wouldn't let you do that. Happy trails!
Thanks Mary for your question! We always recommend asking at the place you are stopping at to make sure they are ok with it. We believe most would probably be ok with it but still recommend asking. The slide out can be more of an issue especially if you don’t have much room!!
Thank you for respecting trucker spaces. They are working and trying to rest by law. I know because I was a trucker for 12 years. You two are awesome. Thanks for sharing.😊
I bought a small sound machine that I use in noisy overnight stops. It is a game changer. Many options like rain, thunder, waves, trickling streams, heartbeats and more can drown out highway and generator noise. Safe travels to you! 😊
Best sound machine, there’s multiple sounds. We use the wind sound I think lol but they have a ton. Once you get used to it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without one.

He is on the road two to three weeks at a time. On another note I am not a egg and coffee person so it is good to see there is other options for breakfast out there. Looking forward to your next video.
Being level is also crucial for an rv propane fridge. It’s also recommended placing something beneath one’s leveling jacks so as not to damage the blacktop especially if pavement is excessively hot. 🚌

I know someday I’m headed that way into my retirement and am learning so much from you both! Thanks you for sharing your life with those of us who are on a serious learning curve! I love your positive energy!
@@LetsTurnItUpWorld I have. I work in the music business and lived in a tour bus for five months. Tour buses are a bit more “glampy” but the sleeping arrangements are more like sleeping in a coffin. Scary and hard to get used to. Showered via these RVs like showers on the back of a semi, cooked my food in a microwave, and had all my clothes and everything on the bus. The only thing I haven’t done is cooked using a stove. Also we had a toilet on the bus, but the rule is to never go number two! Lol you had to ask the bus driver to stop at a truckstop.
I so enjoy you guys. I was following another Vegas couple but I noticed after every bite was a jump cut. She’s not swallowing!! (That’s what he said lol). You guys are the most authentic and genuine on the platform. Thank you 🙏🏼 ❤
I couldn't tell for sure but when you was doing the overall view it also looked like a car also had parked in between the big rigs to. Looked like a little gray one
I drove a truck since 1988 and back in the day campers didn't care I camp now and I try to do what I would have wanted people do back then thank you for being thoughtful. Love watching you kids. Be careful stay safe
Thank you for the great video and information! I really like that you are just good people sharing information and not constantly trying to sell some garbage product. And no click baiting, which is refreshing!! Thanks again!
Thank you! As a truck driver myself, it is scarce when it comes to parking in many areas and it really does get me angry when I see RV and trailers parked at truckstops especially when it’s time to park at night. Like someone said below it is easier for an RV/trailer car to park in many other places but 72 foot semi trucks cannot just park anywhere. I can understand if it was a really big truckstop and you were there for a couple hours and there was lots of room and you’re all the way in the corner back somewhere..cool. But to stay overnight or to stay for too long that is not cool. So Truck stops like LOVES and other small ones do have RV parking in certain sections. Yes thank you, there is etiquette. I will be one of those people to call the manager, and to tell them to go move somewhere else. Sorry..not sorry 😅 Anyway love your videos Keep it up! 😍
Thank you so much Kelly for your great comment and giving us your perspective as a trucker! Plus, huge thanks for all that you do for us as a trucker!! We are very careful to not park in truck spots. Fortunately, Railroad Pass truck stop has a separate area for RVs where we stayed the night. We did notice some RVs however parked in the truck section unfortunately.
I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to truck drivers to plan to stop for sleep at a praticular truck stop, only to find there are no parking spots because RVs are filling some of them. What are you supposed to do then? Keep driving while tired, maybe violating the number of hours you are legally allowed to drive in a day? I never stay at truck stops anymore with my RV for this reason.
@@headdown1 The trucks end up in places where they don't belong... parked on off/on ramps, etc., because they have no place else to go, and don't want to violate their logs that may get inspected. Trucking companies keep track of those logs, electronically, too... so when the drivers violate, they're the first to know and get after the drivers, fine-wise, job-wise (assignments). One of the reasons why truck drivers and their dispatchers don't get along, because the dispatchers are unaware of the driver's situations on the road that they have to deal with... like not being able to get a parking space to rest at.
@@rhondaalbrecht Great. The drivers have their parking spots taken by RVs, then get to fight with dispatch about it. I will definitely continue to avoid truck stops and rest areas. I use an app called Allstays to find out which Walmarts in the area will let RVs park overnight when I am driving across the US twice a year.
I feel like a truck stop/casino parking is fair game between truckers and RV’ers everybody would like to be able to gamble not just truckers and if you want to stay the nite as an RVers so be it. Now a true truck stop like a TA or Loves etc different story!!
You two are professional and courteous. I remember Centipede but if you would've pulled out Pac Man, I was coming over to hang out for awhile. Happy travels.

Thanks Kat for sharing! Did you watch that video? We were talking about the RV life reality about having to constantly say goodbye to new friends you meet on the road after spending only brief times with them! We are definitely not exiting RV life. We have a lot of exciting RV adventures planned that we can’t wait to share with you!
What a beautiful truck stop. It's a big plus to have RV overnight parking. It actually has everything you need all in one place. Those showers were really clean 👌 very impressive!! Can't wait to see where you go next! Safe travels my friends ❤️
Tanya, you're playing my favorite video game. Years ago I set a top score at the Harrah's in Tunica, MS. We went back a year later and it was still standing, I love that game, I was obsessed, lol. Have fun guys.
We parked in truck areas in truck stops all the time, but only for lunch. Lots of time there is no other space that would hold us. Most of the time it was not too busy.

Love to see you guys, ..the respect for Truckers, AWESOME! And you have my First Fav RV I fell in love with, even the exterior color! Winnebago View 24D, GORGEOUS! WHAT A TREAT. 👍♥️
No way. You can't possibly be as old as I. That game came out bk in late 70's early 80's. Lol. Oh gosh the awesome memories u have just brought to me. Thank you. 👊😊
I'm a retired truck driver and I want to thank you for your respect for truckers. I see so many rv'ers on fb with no respect and say they deserve it as much as truckers. I tell you that at night when you pull in to sleep and you see rvs with their slides out taking up 3 spaces it makes you angry. So again THANK YOU!!❤
I do believe that if you stay at any business overnite casino, Cracker Barrel, Lowe’s, Walmart etc. you need to spend some $$$$ there, at least $20.00, freeloaders are never welcome.
Aw..nice video. I did not know there were 'rules' of travel re: rv vs trucks.Just seems like courtesy and common sense for all travelers. Gotta love those truckers! Stay safe and keep traveling! 😊
You'd be surprised how many of 'entitled' drivers are out there who don't give a darn except for themselves. It's just another sign of the times of the end of the Church Age. (retired trucker here)
Thanks Gwen and great question! We did get a bit spoiled with all the additional space in the View versus Desert Snow. That being said, we love Desert Snow and the ability to boondock and 4-season camp!
Hello to both of you God bless you do you know that the Lord God loves you both and he wants nothing but the best for both of you I pray you both take a minute to give him thank for life health and strength
We have stayed at a truck stop twice, the first time we parked between two big rigs (we didn’t know there was any etiquette to consider). Between the noise and exhaust fumes, not a great experience. The second time we parked off by ourselves, quite a way from the truckers, and this was a MUCH better experience.
Thanks for showing the slides in. I’ve been so curious about that. You can still walk and sit at the table fine. If needed for one person you can still sleep on the sofa or overhead. It’s a nice RV.
I don't think you understand. We have to stop. Are days are 12 yo /4 hours a day a lot of days. We pull in at all times. T you should never take an rv spot. Did you here about the guy killed by a truck at flying j Albuquerque the other day. He pulled in tired with no spot so he parked where he could. Then truck stop personnel came and made him move. I'm guessing he was so tired and and was done with his clock. That makes him illegal and still having to drive to find a place. And he pulled out mad and ran over the guy. If he didn't have to move, if he wasn't so tired he wouldn't have ruined his whole life and his children's life.
Tracy, Thanks for sharing your comment. Did you watch the video? We parked in the RV section of the truck stop, not the truck spots. We agree that it’s important to make sure you don’t take up spots needed by the truckers to overnight.
And I don't think most people understand how long days can be. Allowed to drive 11, but 30 minutes for lunch by 8 hours then u you ou still have 5.5 hours on your clock. Those hours are often waiting for pickup and delivery times. They say 11 driving but often it goes to 14 and you are looking for parking after your 11.
Thanks, the RV etiquette we were referring to in this case was putting out our slides, but we did get permission from the truck stop and made sure we had enough room and did not take up another space. Thanks for watching!
I loved seeing someone else using hot sauce on their eggs! I was really shocked when I was in Alaska and nearly every restaurant serves the green Tabasco sauce with every breakfast!! Everywhere too! I eat something hot with every meal and just learned how to make Sriracha when there was a shortage , so I love hearing about things like this!
Dave & Tanya, love your videos! I also appreciate how you did this one, about the truckers. We've been following a trucker for a number of years. Great seein USA from his windshield! We've seen him pull into truck stop and no parking available....you can guess why. So a huge Thank you for what you commented on about the life of a trucker! Bless you both and I have to say, miss seeing the furbabies ♥
Leigh, thanks, great question! For us, we enjoy our camping experience more when our living space is well balanced. There are others that don’t worry about it very much at all.
From a truck driver and rver, Thank you!! You guys are amazing! People dont realize how bad parking is in most places for trucks! Not to mention extremely strict driving laws. So once your out of drive time. You have to park for your reset time period! If theres no where to park, what do you do! Park on the side of the ramps and get ticketed for that as well and possibly killed from a driver not paying attention! And people get mad a truck drivers not thinking that every prt of their life requires truck drivers to make happen!! Again you guys are so awesome! Love the vids!! Keep it coming!!
Thank you and thank you for what you do! Truck drivers are a big role in just about everyone’s lives. The sacrifices you make being on the road like you do is amazing. Glad you enjoyed this episode. We appreciate it and you! 🙏🥰🙌

I am a trucker for the 9yrs now. Thank you for putting it out there to leave our spots for us. I think some RVers don’t understand you can park a lot more places without risk of a substantial ticket and inspection which we truckers risk anytime we are unable to find a labeled truck parking spot.
Why not just head slightly out of town to some BLM land? It’s a lot quieter. I’ve stayed at Truck Stops but I had a travel trailer and it was so noisy. Just wondering 🤷🏼♂️. Great video and it’s important to let the truckers park 👍🏼 25 DOLLARS 😂 PASS
That TRUCK stop was amazing n it has everyone in mind with parking for every type vehicles n still had a few SELFISH RV owners taking a Truck spot when there was plenty of room in the RV parking those are the ppl that end up ruining parking for RV overnight.yall looked so happy there its always nice to feel welcomed stay safe BLESSED BE ♥️
DeSimones Steak House at Railroad Pass is a great place, and they usually have good offers on Groupon. We used to get a great deal on king crab legs before the buffet closed. I live 5 minutes away, which is a plus. Good to see what it is like for travelers.

Lol, maybe we will have to try it sometime, vertical sleeping!
Some people wouldn't do right if their name was Do Right!
Every time you guys eat, I wanna eat, now I'm craving.subs ! I just have to put that out there.. the truth will set me free.. oh yeah
Thanks for sharing! Those were some good subs!! Time to eat!
Yeah, me too! It's almost Dinnertime, but now I'm craving Breakfast!
Thanks for showing the slides in. I’ve been so curious about that. You can still walk and sit at the table fine. If needed for one person you can still sleep on the sofa or overhead. It’s a nice RV.
If we make the folks that deliver all of our stuff to the store, unhappy, well then.......
Thanks for sharing what it's like staying at a truck stop, your both so respectful!
You’re very welcome Wendy! We are glad you enjoyed the video!!
Sorry to see you hadn’t traded off that EKKO for the View would have been a real upgrade!! My opinion.
Tracy,
Thanks for sharing your comment. Did you watch the video? We parked in the RV section of the truck stop, not the truck spots. We agree that it’s important to make sure you don’t take up spots needed by the truckers to overnight.
@@LetsTurnItUpWorld you was meant for anyone reading. I'm tired my typing is bad. Not in my truck. At home.
@@LetsTurnItUpWorld I think it was a little confusing because the title says you "...Broke RV Etiquette". Great video though. Lots of great tips! 😀
I’m loving your view.
Good job. Thanks for teaching us the etiquette of truck stops!
Glad to see most people are courteous to the truckers.
Thanks for watching Arleen! Yes, we agree!!
Sleep upside down!
Lol, that would have been an elegant solution! Thanks for watching!!
why does an RV have to be balanced?
Leigh, thanks, great question! For us, we enjoy our camping experience more when our living space is well balanced. There are others that don’t worry about it very much at all.
13:41 we play Atari and Commodore 64 in our DIY camper van!
The fancy restaurant inside RP is pretty darn good.
Truckers are in gambling just like four wheelers are!
I truly love you all content. When y'all travel I feel like I'm with you all.❤
Hi Tanya, where was Moms Diner what state and the highway you were on? Love you two

What town in NV is this? Is this where “Mom’s” eatery is?
You guys ever camp out east of the Mississippi?
Thanks Jerry! We are originally from the Northeast and have family there. We camped in northern New England in June this year. We hope to get back East in 2024 with Desert Snow. Any place you would like to see us film?
Everywhere you go ....lol me n my wife have a pull behind trailer hoping to get out west sometime in the future.hows the fuel mileage in that rv?
Nice down to earth couple.
Thanks LadyG!
Where was this place at
Helena, we were at the Railroad Pass Casino truck stop outside Las Vegas. Thanks for watching!
Moms is a good eating spot
Yes, Mom’s is great, we really enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!!
Why aren’t your cats with you today?
Thanks Sharon for your question. We were in an RV rental that didn’t allow pets so our kitties were with a friend of ours!
11:18
Tanya, you naughty young lady 😂😂😂
You're in a Winnebago View and not your Ekko. How old is this video?
Thanks for watching Rodney! Our EKKO was getting warranty repairs done so we were in a View rental for our our Oregon trip!!
Railroad pass is our go to spot every time we go to Vegas from our home in Kingman AZ!!
Thanks Cindy! We enjoy visiting Kingman and old Route 66 through Oatman, so much fun! And, Railroad Pass is a great truck stop to overnight in the Vegas area, we agree with you!!
Excellent video I love the classic gaming that’s right up my alley. Keep up the excellent work.❤️🌎👍🏽
Thanks Rosemarie! We are glad that you enjoyed the video. Your support means a lot to us!!
Was the Mom's diner and then the truck stop filmed different days? Or did you drive to Mom's then all the way back to to head to railroad casino -
Yes, it was the same day. This happens to be Ep. 4 of our road-trip to Oregon. You might enjoy the series! Link to Episode 1 is in the pinned comment up top. 👆Thanks for watching!
I love your video's. keep up the good work.
I am a trucker for the 9yrs now. Thank you for putting it out there to leave our spots for us. I think some RVers don’t understand you can park a lot more places without risk of a substantial ticket and inspection which we truckers risk anytime we are unable to find a labeled truck parking spot.
Looks like the healthier diets are out.
Thanks for sharing yalls trip. Yall are fun and entertaing to watch!
Thanks so much Aaron! You’re very welcome!!
Love your videos , its the music i dont like, but i guess its just me, do not think I’m being me plz
Thanks for sharing your feedback, we appreciate it. Your support means a lot to us!
Fun blast from the past. Double thumbs up for the Atari.🕹 Such a fun couple🤗
Thanks so much!
Fantastic that you meet up with people in random parts of the USA that watch your videos!
Thanks so much! Yes, we love when we meet people who view our videos while we are on the road. It’s always a lot of fun!
Also there are some great UA-camrs in Utah Mats off-road recovery, trailmaterd, fabrics, and Robby Laton😊
Why not just head slightly out of town to some BLM land? It’s a lot quieter. I’ve stayed at Truck Stops but I had a travel trailer and it was so noisy. Just wondering 🤷🏼♂️. Great video and it’s important to let the truckers park 👍🏼
25 DOLLARS 😂 PASS
Thanks, if we were in our own rig Desert Snow, we may have headed for BLM land. We were much more cautious in our View rental!!
@@LetsTurnItUpWorld true. That makes sense. I forgot it was a rental 😂
That TRUCK stop was amazing n it has everyone in mind with parking for every type vehicles n still had a few SELFISH RV owners taking a Truck spot when there was plenty of room in the RV parking those are the ppl that end up ruining parking for RV overnight.yall looked so happy there its always nice to feel welcomed stay safe BLESSED BE ♥️
@5:31 "a little bit of shade" "ambience" I love it! Tanya is an entertainer!
Thanks so much lol, a tiny bit of beautiful shade!
DeSimones Steak House at Railroad Pass is a great place, and they usually have good offers on Groupon. We used to get a great deal on king crab legs before the buffet closed. I live 5 minutes away, which is a plus. Good to see what it is like for travelers.
A rest stop and a truck stop are two different things, correct?
Barbara, thanks for watching, yes we didn’t stay at a Highway rest stop. We stayed at a truck stop travel center that also had designated RV spots!
Enjoyed the video!! Love you too 😘 safe travels
Thanks so much Cathy! Do you RV?
I’ve spent many nights there when I was hauling heavy equipment in and out of Vegas. The Capastrami sammich is the bomb!!!
Awesome Buc-ees shirt!
