I am lucky enough to have done a show with Canibus and i got pictures with him when i met him backstage. 2012 KOTD rap battle with Jeru The Damaja , RA The Rugged Man for the GURU tribute show. i battled Charron and lost. but this song is really good. conscious underground revolutionary lyrics and a good complex heavy hardcore sounding beat. all 4 MCs came good to me on this song , in my personal opinion. and they are just staying true to who they are as individuals. Kurupt is westcoast hardcore just like Ras Kass political. and Canibus is military soldier just like Killah Priest is spiritual fighter. They all come at this song from different angles and finish it off with a very unique and refreshing hip hop song that makes me know that this kind of music will never go away.
Kurupt is awesome on this. I feel like this sort of project enables his creativity to run wild. How much more can you say about gangbaing & smoking weed…. His writing can go anywhere on this record.
