@@TechUnGlued just one question please: i saw you mentioning the switch in vsan config to enable RDMA support (which can improve performance) however what are the requirements for this? I mean is there also some config to do on the uplink physical switches etc?? Thanks again

The adapter needs to support this. Check this link..

If is does then you can enable it at the cluster during or after install.
you can check here.
Select the Cluster > Configure > vSAN > Services. Under the Network section, click EDIT and enable the RDMA support
