Wonderful to discover! I lost track of the band over the years. I just remember thinking Rachel was preternaturally good-looking. 😅 And she's still as lovely as ever!
I’ve been listening to the new album for a couple of weeks now. After listening to the title track a few times, it slowly dawned on me that it might be about Charlie Haden, and that’s how I found this documentary about the song! Beautiful... And I love the rest of the album, too. Thank you!!!
Fun fact: Maya Rudolph was one of the founding members of The Rentals, whose front man was the original bassist for Weezer (Matt Sharp), and Weezer had Rachel Haden sing lead vocals on their iconic b-side, "I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams"
Abrumado por semejante belleza, y puedo imaginar a Charlie Haden tocando cálidas lineas de bajo en algún sitio, siguiendo espíritu único de esta canción.
I always loved their song Minneapolis
bringing tears to our eyes to see talent we've admired from the scene over the last 20+ years performing on this record with the band.
Still … after all these years … those gorgeous harmonies.
What a gift, that this album exists, that this video exists.
INCREDIBLE. Now if that doesn't make you cry your dead inside. So touching. Favorite track on new album!
I love it!!!💙💙💙
I've liked That Dog since Retreat From The Sun Came Out and recently bought the Old LP. This mini doc made me want to cry. Very moving music.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard
Jake Hammond STFU.

steve badach Haha, well I am only now too. I was actually in NYC and LA in October and just missed out on catching their shows as it turns out.
That was absolutely incredible.
Amazing! This definitely made my eyeballs a little sweaty. I can't wait to play this new / old lp
Overwhelmed for such awesome beauty, and I can imagine Charlie Haden playing warm bass lines somewhere, following these unique song's spirit.
What a great documentary to go along with such a beautiful song. Please come to Texas.

No comment that Anna's father is famous producer Lenny Waronker?! No comment that Maya Rudolph's late mother was singer Minnie Ripperton?!
You can see the Minnie Ripperton LP "Stay in love" spinning at 7'52". Nice touch.
@@fromthe90s21 And a Charlie Haden (Rachel's dad) LP at the end.
That's some brilliant music, right there.
This is a masterpiece.
Wow. So happy I came across this today! Beautiful story, song, and arrangement!

yep
Oh hell yes
How I want to be thought of.
I'd love to think that this had kind of inspired Weezer's Ok Human. That Dog and Weezer were good friends.

Dang, they’re pretty deep.
aaaaaaaaaaa!

Goddamnit were is Petra?
Anna is still the same classic beauty she was in the 90s.
5:52 Is it me or does the conductor look an awful lot like character actor Matt Clark?
Petra....ouch.
She's just doing other stuff. There is zero bad blood.
