I have 2 question Sir - @colcent_solar is there a work around for communication for the IVPS series? if communication is not available for the IVPS series, how would the inverter know when to stop charging the battery?
I have a Felicity 5kva hybrid inverter and a blue carbon 15kwh lithium ion battery, there's no communication between both of them and there's no communication port on the battery. Can both of them communicate without the battery having a communication port? Thank you.

I think I figured it out. My connection is with Felicity Inverter and Lithium battery. If like me you don't have the comm cable in the right configuration. Means you have to build one. A standard LAN cable and 2 RJ45'S will do. You also need a cripping tool. On the LAN cable you have your white orange and orange wires. Single these out and cutoff all other wires. On the RJ45...white orange goes to pin 5 and Orange to pin 6. Repeat on both sides. You now have an RS485 cable. Connect to the battery and inverter. The "C" will not show immediately. Configure your battery program on the inverter to "Lib"...on mine I got an error 80...give it a few seconds and the error clears..you now have the "C" and "LI" symbols on the inverter. You are good to go.
Ps: my configuration is based on Felicity IVEM8048 (inverter) and Felicity LPBF48300 lithium battery. Refer to your user manual or qualified technician. I like DIY so I took the risk. All the best
