Hi! As a Spaniard, I got this video recommended to me and wanted to say: though the AVE's prices can seem high, you have to remember two important things: first, it competes (or it did before... y'know, virus, stuff, happened) with airports, because they make very similar connections, so the price is mostly around the same. Second, and probably most important, Renfe is going to launch the AVLO, which is literally short for Ave Low cost, whose tickets will range from 60€ to, get ready, 10€, and the minister of transportation said that everyone should be able to buy at least once a ticket for 10€, meaning that that price won't be uncommon and the 60€ will only be in low demand last hour bookings, so maybe you'll want to check it out as if I remember correctly it will use the same Talgo trains at the same speeds, and in fact Renfe has ordered an entire new fleet of them for that service so they will be mostly brand new. Edit: grammar
Talgo AVE S 112 Not a Bombardier model, It is a design entirely by P. Talgo. The electric motors are from the German ABB in 102 and 112. Patentes Talgo, S.A. the serie 112 is the last collaboration with the Canadian multinational Bombardier Transportation. After ordering the mechanical part of the 102 and 112 series heads. For the new Avril 106 series, the Spanish Basque company IngeTeam took care of all this. And less so now that Bombardier has spun off its railway division and sold it to the French multinational company Alstom Transport. www.talgo.com/ It is very simple to find out first-hand and just by searching the official website of the company. When you plan your trip and book in advance fares are ridiculously low in Germany. Frequent travelers can get a “Bahncard” to cut prices 25% or 50%. All a matter of planning. Last minute tickets are costly though.
Very good video! Just one detail; you didn't translate well Preferente; in Spanish travel lingo Preferente means Business Class, not First. There are some AVEs (Siemens 103 series?) that have or had 3 classes: 1ª (Primera - First), Preferente (Business) and Turista. This also applies to airlines.

Yes, I can't wait to try AVLO! 🤩🤩🤩
Me gustaria visitar Cordoba.Porque me among Andalusia
When a video to Galicia?? north-west from Spain.
This year hopefully! 🇪🇦
It's your home country?
No, I'm English 👍🏻
Talgo AVE S 112 Not a Bombardier model, It is a design entirely by P. Talgo. The electric motors are from the German ABB in 102 and 112.
Patentes Talgo, S.A. the serie 112 is the last collaboration with the Canadian multinational Bombardier Transportation.
After ordering the mechanical part of the 102 and 112 series heads.
For the new Avril 106 series, the Spanish Basque company IngeTeam took care of all this.
And less so now that Bombardier has spun off its railway division and sold it to the French multinational company Alstom Transport.

It is very simple to find out first-hand and just by searching the official website of the company.
Greetings from the province of Córdoba, in Andalusia, Spain.
Whoops 😉

Article on the matter in the spanish economic newspaper - Expansión- in its digital version.
You are right
Nice to reden through Europe with your channel. It makes fun, it shows the landscape and you can enjoy your virtual voyage. Btw. in Germany you have to pay a lot of money to travel similar to the Renfe service. Due to the pandemic restrictions I take my car. It's much cheaper, I have my seat, I can listen to music I like, all in all it's cheaper and more practical and I don't waste so much time with changings. Greetings from Germany
I don't find German trains much more expensive than Spanish ones, if at all 🙂
When you plan your trip and book in advance fares are ridiculously low in Germany. Frequent travelers can get a “Bahncard” to cut prices 25% or 50%. All a matter of planning. Last minute tickets are costly though.
Nice Video.
Many many thanks!
when the apprentice surpasses the master (tgv).
The actual TGV AVE is just as good too 😁
Does the train from Córdoba to Madrid go through any very long tunnels? Asking for a claustrophobic friend 😂
Not really long, and it's so fast anyway 😜
@@NonstopEurotrip Thanks! 😊
I always thought preferente was First class and that the sala club was business. Also you've got turista plus... 🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦
These duck-faced trains look a little bit shinkanzen-ish... :)
Haha yes 😂
Great!
Thanks!!! 😊
11:59 I know that dude
Spanish trains are best in the world :)
Or Italian 🙈🙈🙈
@@NonstopEurotrip speed Spanish and Italian design I love Italian train looks BTW Renfe got a new look! So plz be sure to make a video on it thank u :)
Velocidad máxima 300 km / h.
Sí! 😁
A journey of 320 km’s in a high speed 250 - 300 kmh train should be much quicker then almost 2 hours. Even Dutch local trains (almost) cover that at 140 kmh; there must be long stops or long parts of low speed sections along the route ...
I guess most of time lost is when stopped and on the approach to Madrid
How long was the ride?
2h40. All the details are in the video.
I hope renfe Spain will comeback in India with better system of coach ,
Bcz its beautiful , confertable and most suitable for India climate and for Indian travelers also , 😎😎😎😎😎
Ooh that would be GOOD 😃
@@NonstopEurotrip yes bcz its passed all test and also get green signal from railway board but problem was in coach height and no separate coach bcz in India we use British style train its mean platform height r higher and second was same our domestic coach system is not attached in single wheel that's why we cane use same coach to different train like lhb to irc ,
Hi where do you buy tickets from madrid to cordoba and return?
Renfe.com
2:44 - Why does everyone say "Seville"?
It's SEVILLA! With "A" at the end!
@@lomaspegao1720 It's just as annoying as English people writing "Majorca" instead of "Mallorca"
Probably the same reason the Spanish call London 'Londres'. I always try and use the version that most English speakers would understand. For example if I started calling Florence 'Firenze' 90% of people wouldn't have a clue where I meant...
I do not think it is legal to film a departure in front and outside the train. In Mallorca the TIB guards did said no,when they saw my camera.Or is it due to the privacy laws.
It's perfectly legal.
@@NonstopEurotrip hmmm,ok then it was TIB who had a problem
Which app do you use when you show the speed in your phone?
It's just called 'GPS Speedometer'
@@NonstopEurotrip thanks!

@@leandros1314 Me encantan los trenes españoles 😃🇪🇦
I havr done that trip and I think it is damn expensive.
True, AVEs are expensive though 🤷🏻♂️
I took a similar train from Madrid to Sevilla .. ticket cost me 149 euro's as my flight to sevilla was cancelled the previous day from Schipol thanks to transavia so had to fly to Madrid the following morning and KLM Employee had the gaul to force me to buy another bag to put my rucksack in , when flying from Glasgow not an issue but the chap at Madrid a dobber . And at Schipol .. KLM/Transavia // KLM Employeee said we would get our money back . to this day I never got a fucking penny from the Airline . even though i kept all the recipts as proof . The taxi's in Madrid from the Airport to the train station 30 euro .. i was charged .. what a rip off arrived just in time to buy my ticket and catch the 11.30 am train to Sevilla . took around 2 hrs 30mins all tickets have specific seat numbers , Trains are spotless compared to trains that travel on the Ayr/Addrossan/Largs lines .. View from the train was quality .. .
Sounds like you get all the bad luck!
When did the designer get fired?
Actually the design was highly praised
It's not to everyone's taste, but I like them!! 🙅🏻♂️🇪🇦😄
@@NonstopEurotrip And I think they look pretty ugly! I like the interior though ;)
Tenemos los trenes mejores de europa 15mil quilomertos de redes para dar la vuelta a lnglaterra dos veces
Sí, lo sé 😅
Duck:no. Platypus: yes.
El ornitorrinco doesn't have the same ring to it obviously 😅
Notice how few passengers are on this train. This AVE line is a world-class boondoggle. It is enormously expensive to build and operate and serves very few passengers.
Pre-pandemic this route was always pretty busy
It serves millions. And will server triple that with liberalization and introduction of low-cost Ouigo and AVLO, apart from ILSA-Trenitalia as a 4th operator.
Who pay for all the nice roads and fast trains in Spain....the Euopean Union... 😠
😏😏😏
it is not an effective blind, stupid, if one or the other seat controls both windows. what is worse is you do not understand the problem
I've never had that problem on any train I've ever taken... normally if it's very sunny, all parties will want the blind down 😊
