- I look at the last decade of #1 overall pick QB's and compare what the Bears are shaping up to look like compared to what other #1 Qb's have had for their first seasons.

Poles has done a fantastic job building this roster. The Bears and Caleb Williams have an opportunity to be something really special.
talking about winning the super bowl with a rookie QB on a team with a new offense is fantasy football on steroids
I think the expectation is to make the playoffs with a rookie QB (that doesn't even happen ever) but it's not unrealistic with this roster
Love you love your show
But I agree and disagree. That 2 to 3 year stretch before he got hurt at the touchdown interception ratio that was with a decent line and good wide receivers and then the bottom fell out. They have after Brandon, Marshall and Al Sean Jeffries.. it’s forever been the same thing unless you are an elite quarterback, you have to have help around you. I don’t care who you are. I’m looking at homes. He wasn’t lighting up the scoreboard last year seriously had one of the best defense units in the league and Mahomes is just clutch is the exception look everywhere around the league where there are good wide receivers and a good offensive line you will find a good statistical quarterback
And everybody goes back to look at what is statistic show. When in truth, he only had two years of a decent wide receiver and offensive line other than his old line sucked as well as his receiving core
I mean Johnny Knox no one point was their best receiver
Everybody forgets how good Jay Cutler was before he got hurt. And how he was always compared and had equal analytical numbers to Stafford they were almost the same comparison for year.
But was he? Even when Cutler was "good" he wasn't anything more than above average. Cutler's best 2-year stretch with the Bears was 2014-15.
2014: 28-18 TD-INT 66.0% 3812 yd
2015: 21-11 TD-INT 64.4% 3659 yd
We can ignore Stafford's first two years where he started 10 and 3 games. So let's look his next 8 year-stretch from 2011-18 with DET. Here are Stafford's stats in his WORST 3 years during that stretch:
2012: 20-17 TD-INT 59.8% 4967 yd
2014: 22-12 TD-INT 60.3% 4257 yd
2018: 21-11 TD-INT 66.1% 3777 yd
Those are the WORST 3 years out of 8. We are ignoring the other 5 where he average 31-14 64% 4500+.
And before you talk about volume, if you extrapolate Cutler's stats to match the same volume as Stafford, he still has fewer TD, more INT, and fewer yards.

Not to be a downer but none of those QB's won a Superbowl. That's not a good trend.
The whole point of this video is how this year is different... Someone's going to be the first
I hope you're right. The NFL is better when the Bears are contenders.
