lol fire is by far one of the best school for soloing lvl 150 and been solo since 2008 when game launched, only time i had help are on like darkmoor and other stuff that are impossible to really solo but other than that fire can solo all
I agree with the myth take of it being #2. It has great stats in each category and great spells. Minions might not be the best since they die too fast but one thing that Myth has even over death when it comes to PvE is Monstrology. Like 90% of the community doesn't care about it but with it as a myth you can summon 3 monstrology minions while other schools can only summon 1. Some minions you can get very easily have crazy damage, healing spells, blades and shields. If you're using monstology it actually makes myth feel like the minion school like the school description says.
Wait WHAT, holy I had no idea myth could summon more thqn 1 minion and mine is level 53. Pretty sure with normal minions it just replaces eachother That changes everything

They have the BEST utility, ALL the desirable stats, and ALL the good cards... Compare this to a school like Ice. Sure Ice gets good Health and resistance at the cost of no damage and pierce. Still, Ice has ZERO useful utility, and a SINGLE SITUATIONAL decent exclusive card in Legion Shield which isn't even that useful since nobody wants to team with an Ice for those reasons previously mentioned. Oh and resistance, one of the few things a school like Ice has going for it, doesn't even matter at high levels because every freakin mob has an absurd amount of pierce... The favoritism at play is insanity :/

fire is not that bad. i just finished soloing lemuria, novus, and wallaru as a fire with lvl 130 or lower gear and there was only 2 boss fights in wallaru i needed help for, i did the rest of wallaru solo and i did both lemuria and novus 100% solo. fire dragon is super underrated, yes in most situations it is the worst 7 pip aoe, but only barely, and in some situations it's the best 7 pip aoe, let's not forget that DOT spells are great at dealing with shields and fire dragon has by far the most total damage of the 7 pip aoes. fire also has a ton of top tier spells - phantasmania, s'more, raging bull, scion of fire, etc. i don't think any school aside from death is significantly better than fire at soloing. maybe some schools are slightly better, but only slightly.
Im soloing as a balance rn and while balance bosses are a nightmare, there arent actually too many of them in arc 1 and some of arc 2. Its a bit tougher than other schools, but for me i would say its easier to solo on than life if you dont have rat spin

I made my necromancer when I was 14 simply because I was emo and I've had the same account all this time, still play on it I'm 28 now and death is 100% op attacking and healing ones self at the same time. I've soloed most of the game being socially awkward. I have a good friend on there now though, not to say I haven't met many great people on there over the years.
I feel like balance gets a bad rep for soloing just because of balance bosses. They have a solid rank 7 aoe, a really solid heal for 3/4 pips depending on where you are in the game, triple shields/traps/blades for different scenarios depending on the fight, and some decent off-school coverage with spells like spectral blast/hydra/chimera. If I were to solo with balance again, I’d likely make more of a use of those spells just because they likely would’ve made those balance fights a lot easier. I do agree that balance’s main buffs are lacking though. I think we’re at the point in the game where making balance blade a 35 blade and bladestorm at least 25 wouldn’t be an awful idea. With that said, you can stack these buffs relatively quickly for a one-hit on most mob/boss fights, then set up elemental/spirit buffs for those off-school damage spells. And even in less favorable fights, you could heal until you’re setup enough.
Kore and Boar tech, could you guys possibly make a power scaling guide, showing what gear to farm and what spells to learn as you level through the game 1-170? I’m a returning player and always forget what’s the best farming spot for my different wizards at different levels.
as an og fire main. It does suck seeing dragon be dragged to the grown this hard, I hit the dmg cap with over 55 pierce. But this does make me excited to do my myth. It honestly feels way easier to solo these super low level worlds with my mythdactyl pet and frog enchanted with pet enchant gargantuan. soloing has been pretty much a breeze as a level 23 with 45 myth dmg
By the time posting this comment, I already beat the game as Life and moved on to Myth, who has beat Polaris where my lesser Wizards are, being Ice, Storm, and Balance. I’d say I’m doing well! And I often solo myself!
As a solo fire player. I have to agree, the only hitting spells that exist for me is fire dragon. Im running through Lemuria rn with Malistaire gear so shadow pip gains take so long theres no use in packing the spells. Like they mention why would a fire player use traps that will only boost the inital first hit when i can blade to boost all the damage. ( this also my biggest issue with fire scion pve, my damage comes from dots, so traps are a no go until the tail end of a fight, and by that point why bother with lengthy setup?) The thing that does help fire tho is that with damage spread out with dots it makes battles feel faster because even when youre on defense, the boss still takes damage. Dont get me wrong, aside from one or two cheating bosses per world fire can still solo every fight, and because of school pips it makes it easier for fires to heal so it isnt all bad. I just wish they updated our utility spells to be more functional, like Ive never used/packed the steal charm spell, because WHY WOULD I.
Ngl as a fire main the moment i got dragoons dragon raging bull and phantasmania i abandoned dragon. That spell litterally is way too useless for fire mostly because its unusable with feint. This is why you see so many fires use stuff like phantasmania or raging bull specifically because they aren't aoe dots. As a fire main im gonna be honest fire dragon is just like pre buffed frost giant now. Very useless and is pretty much outclassed by hits that are pretty much better for less pips.

How I would rate schools: High: -Death -Storm -fire Mid: -Myth -Life -ice Low: -Balance Hard to solo with for pve : Life( if you don’t have access to leaf Storm, ratspin, or forest lord) Balance: No prisms Storm: Low health and accuracy
Life is easy to solo with. You get good damage on your gear and you also have a 7-pip aoe that does a crack ton of damage. What matters most really is your gear and your 7-pip aoe.
Ice isnt that bad to solo there is a steamer who is doing a hardcore challenge solo run and he just soloed waterworks amd frozen armor was so good to use agains luska and sylvester. I also still place storm as the last good school to solo just because if you are new to the game and you dont have anything it is so hard to play solo. I would put fire higher because some of the really hard cheat bosses you can cheese it with damage over time

Personally I’m loving myth even more than my death! But I’m probably partial to myth since I love mythology and the spell designs. Great video 👍

Fire Dragon is really good for the 2 turn Blade/Frenzy -> 7 Pip AoE. It does fall short for bosses
agreed, but for longer fights like bosses you're just gonna use raging bull anyway because it's stronger than any 7 pip aoe spell.
