Just a tree guy watching a tree guy learn to fly… idk what it is about the flying videos but they are quite calming. Thank you for bringing us along again - awesome video!
We got you as a battle hardened , experienced tree man and now we're watching you grow into a capable, skilled pilot . As a viewer, sub and a fan of you as a human being essentially , it's interesting to watch you progress in this life. Which can only be attained bc of your love of documenting and ofc , more than anything else, sharing. I'll think a thank you is in order so, thank you, August 😉. Have you thought about starting a channel for everything aviation? My brains need of order and organization wanted me to ask lol. In the grand scheme it doesn't matter , but in the long run I can see where it may serve you as well. Okay, back to minding my own business haha
Nice! The affect of the wind on the plane was obvious. When I learned to fly, the company that I rented from had a Citabria. They can do aerobatics. Thanks for the video.
"switch up, flaps down" sounds like my life at times. Great idea for to put on some merch!! thanks for sharing, this really helped me clear my head before bed.
Lookin way good out there... both of you 😁 I have a soft spot for the Citabria... I owned one for 14 year's, 1974 GCAA it was great !!! That model doesn't have flaps but their really not needed. They are quite rudder dominate so when you're in a full slip you're seriously looking out the side window lol. Aerobatic's are my favorite type of flyin. I get a kick out people sayin the Citabria is aerobatic... It's name is airbatic spelled backwards 😂 Great video August and Thank you very much !!!
Good on you August ... watch your air speed if you have extended flaps ..keep it in the white arc or you can damage your flap rails... A mate just bought a 500i ... you convinced him with one of your videos... good man. Great side slip mate ...and you didn't rush the landing ...had some excess airspeed so just let the plane catch up and slow down... you're a natural Tyrone.
A colleague at RNoAF ENAN (Andøya) had his second single training session, did his first touch and go, came in second time and asked for permission to touch and go. A totally dry "You are cleared for touch, touch, touch, touch, touch and go" came from the tower Hope you get your license soon
You know just today I was thinking about how "sketchy" rental aircraft can be. Not wing-falling-off, but just alot of stupid things that just aren't completely right. You would never do tree work with the same level of equipment. Be super vigilant on your preflights, you have little knowledge of what that plane experienced last 10 hours.
August, hello, yeah, electric flaps CAN be a pain, in the C150 it had 40* flaps, but the C152 only did30* flaps , I developed no flaps as a norm, but I saw others that could NOT land without them, Only once landing ANOTHER AIRCRAFT GOT BELOW ME ON LANDING, I WENT AROUND BEFORE THE TOWER ASKED ME THE GUY NEVER USED THE RADIO, WAS A VISITING GUY, he was in serious trouble, they gave him a phone # to CALL, at my home field 22/4 was RIGHT HAND PATTERN,so as not to be over REALLY RICH FOLKS ! Stay well,🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
That's cool & rewarding to hear the enthusiasm of your instructors! (A big + sign saying you're doing well!) Entertaining video, thanks for taking us with you again. *God Bless* *_James_* Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
I like the word Arboriculture. Tree culture. I enjoy the long videos and always appreciate your time you give us

Your telecommunications are increasing exponentially, great job! Yeah! a Citabria would be a great choice for your area!
Very nicely done. 😃👍

Hi August, good job on the go around. I think you are ripe for some "Aviation Humour (Rod Machado)" on YT. Cheers
Great stuff guys! 👍👍
Sweet. Doing a slip looks like it'd be an adrenaline rush the first time you do it. Then it'd be let's do that again!
you are awesome.

You are having too much fun! Ain’t flying great!
don't gotta worry about flaps sticking on a piper with the man handling of the flap lever 🥲but so much more annoying to deal with lol.
Night flying is cool 😎👍
Looks like fun!

At least with the GoPro on the plane you didn't jump out of your airplane with your parachute when your flaps gave you problems. lol
:-D

Nice thanks.
it really was a nice landing
can you keep doing it?
Hey August 😃
Woohooo. 😁
