wow. attention to detail, cleaned and greased everything. kept mentioning what the condition should be like when presented to the customer and took pride in the work, never bashed the customer (unlike several other channels), wanted to keep the components going for as long as possible to help the customer save some money. good effort mate.
It is so amazing how each bike needs to be assessed and the repairs tailored to each bike. I appreciate how you were able to work within the budget and still give the customer a bike that will do many more miles before the next service. That type of attitude give your shop a step above the rest. I noticed the premium grease is now dispensed with a syringe! Nice touch…and all greases and oils are organized in the metal holder. Professional for sure! Great jobs as always. Polishing as an apology for having to keep the bike an extra week…simply the best. Thanks gentlemen. You have done a great job again.
Thanks Todd! We do put a lot of effort into our work and also making these videos as slick as possible so we appreciate the kind words towards both there 🧡
Another splendid job. I had a friend call me the other weekend, he had a puncture and was close to where I live. So I collected him and his bike in my car, took them both back to my place. I had serviced his bike the year before so finding the puncture with the tyre label at the valve was easy. One I replaced his inner tube and refitted the tyre I was able to use my (new) copper slip on the axle. He was suitably impressed 🙌😎🇫🇮
@@Bikespeeds I do appreciate any videos we can get and understand the hard work that goes behind it. Please don't burn yourselves out & if possible you can make a community post and be more relaxed what with time & parts constraints. Also I do hope you two get some time off as you see fit.
I found cleaning/lubing threads very satisfying I knew adjustments today or a year from now would be easier I knew how light or heavy torques would feel
@@Bikespeeds i worked 3 years at a small new/used bike shop in seattle. my owner was good at acquiring old trade-ins and police auctions. Much respect to you, Sir.
Wow! now that's what I call a service - lots of cyclists myself included would be delighted to pay whatever necessary for such a great service ! Bravo !
Nice job and great attention to detail. Didn't notice in the video if you removed the seatpost to clean and lubricate the seapost, the clamp, and bolt?? Tends to always be the last job I do on any bike I service.
I have this exact bike (except I have deep section carbon rims). I love it. It absolutely flies. I do most of my own work on it. The only thing I don't like is redoing the internal cabling. The exit hole for the cable at the end of the chainstay is exactly the same width as the gear cable and it's a nightmare to thread it through.
Well worth the wait, and I like the vinyl cover over the brake fitting, makes you wonder why the manufactures don't fit a simple plastic plug. Roll on next Wednesday
I have one of those bikes. Wonderful machines. The gear cable frame stop was indeed a known problem that many suffered from. As it happens I need a new seat post clamp for it. Where is still selling these?
Wow! I have that same bike and that's what caught my attention to your video. I keep all my stuff clean and I can't believe the condition of that bike. I've upgraded mine over the years and while disassembling parts, I've seen some small corrosion, debri accumulation, scuffed areas, chips etc but that person seems to have purchased the bike, road it for 10 years than brought it to you for it's first tune up etc. Thank you for your videos. Looks like you know what you're doing.
Great video, cracking effort. Made me think how lucky you are because as my grandad always used to say … if you love your job you’ll never work a day in your life.

Hello, I have some questions: where did you get all the torque values, which grease do you use and are the cables for the brakes and shifters correct..? Left lever is front brake and detailer..? Love the video as I'm doing the same with an foil I'm starting with..?
Hi thanks for watching, I have learned the torque values throughout my career and there’s no one place to find them other than google. We recommend our greases available on www.bikespeeds.com/shop 🧡⚙️

Hey I really enjoy your content all the way over here in Minnesota, USA! If you'd care to share I would appreciate details in regard to the actual names of the lubricants you use and also what kind of vinyl "tape" you use. Thank you!
The greases are a variety of different brands and the vinyl is our own. So we can’t really answer either of those but hopefully down the line we would like to sell the products in the videos. Thanks for watching all the way from across the pond!🧡⚙️
What kind of grease is the yellow stuff you're using. It looks like what Shimano uses when you buy new parts. Can you just use Polylube or another grease or is that one preferred.

Spent about 500 miles on it and so far so good. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA Pros:1. Very light2. Solid quality build3. Fast delivery: It arrived 5 weeks earlier than expected.4. Easy assemblyJust a few cons but nothing major:1. Cheap tin tubes and had flat on first day... but not a big deal. I replaced the tubes.2. Seat is a bit uncomfortable but that's pretty much the same situation with most bikes.3. Seat post is a bit long/high for a smaller size 48 bike - had to saw 2 inch off to fit properly. The lowest setting is too high. The post locking system does not seem to hold well (perhaps because I saw 2 inch off).4. wheels are not tubeless compatible (from what I can tell)
