But this man called the 1-800 phone sex line just so he could have someone to talk to. He obviously had no friends and no family. He was alone in this world, with no one to talk to about his fears, joys, dreams, goals, burdens, etc., except a 22 years old stranger working hundreds of miles away from where he lived. Whenever I see a gay man these days, I thank the Universe that male can live in his truth. That he doesn't have to hide in his NYC apartment and chat with a stranger in Los Angeles (because that's the only person he can talk to while speaking at 1.99 per minute). he likely has his own friends and a supportive family. I can't talk shit about a man for celebrating his existence and embracing himself. I sometimes wonder what ever happened to that man in NYC. Did he finally begin living his truth? Did he ever find friends? Did his family ever come to accept him? Or did he die alone with no one to say good-bye to. I cannot make a guy feel bad because of who he is at his core. And I'd hate to make a person feel horrible about themselves simply because I couldn't accept them as they are. Change begins with you.
