When people were sane, for the most part polite, and industry was a magnum opus. You always get that classic wild and undeniable 90's/2000's teenage romance vibes from such love songs, not only they were in almost all teenage movies and teenage tv shows expressing romantic and sad moments between two of love, it also felt the same in the real world. Iconic, breath taking just kiss her!

Just heard this on the radio today and was hit by a wave of nostalgia so strong it brought tears to my eyes. The world has gotten so insane since this was released. I would do a great many things to have it back the way it was.
I do the same thing. Geez, I miss the world we knew and took for granted. Everything we knew is gone. Regional department stores that were around for over 100 years gone, 27 airlines down to 6, traditions that were cherished gone. Worldwide governments have become more corrupt than could ever have imagined. Christian values our countries were founded on have been tossed. People dress like slobs and have no concern for their fellow man or national pride. Give them their phones, tablets and social media and they are happy. So sad.
Absolute truth…watching this…you can feel how much better the world was in 1999 & just how far we’ve fallen in this country in 24 years…it’s almost unbelievable how far we’ve fallen
I used to sit by the radio when I was a kid and wait for this song to come on and when it did I would imagine I was flying with the fireflies. Easier times, love this song!
I had completely forgotten about this song, then got transported right back to the 90s when I heard it here again. It seems like you blink and an era is over. Sad, but good memories. Hard to describe the feelings.
Takes me back to when it was a struggle, but it was simple. Just lean my head against the window and let mom drive as I watched the rain fall down the window.
If that magical 90s never ended, which in my opinion is the best era that we grew up in....Then we wouldn't be stuck with the stupidity of Today's society with Technology being relied on by Today's Youth.

1999- Summer in Mexico ! I was 12. In my Grandmas and grandpas home I would watch this on MTV… what a beautiful summer! This song always reminds me of that moment !
i have a suggestion we all team up to build a time machine and go back to the 90s. when music was good, phones werent distroying our social life and mental health, and people didnt get so offended over everything.
i remember this coming on the speakers at our middle school dance, i was sitting next to my crush at the table, her and i have been talking for a long time and i finally decided to ask her out as my girlfriend. she happily said yes, said she’s waited for so long and she kissed me for the first time. my very first one too.
When I was 6 my grandpa picked me up from school and this song played in the car. He gave me a hard time and said ‘don’t you ever kiss boys! Don’t ever get married!’ I was so embarrassed but I always treasured my time with him. He died a little over a year later of cancer at the age of 47. I’m 26 now and when this song comes on the radio all the time I can’t help but cry with this memory. Every time I feel lonely and defeated I hear this song! He’s speaking to me and here I am a single mom, never married and the thought of any relationship now scares me. Crazy how certain things come full circle in our lives in weird, lyrical ways..
I used to secretly love this song when I was in my early teens (secretly cause it was too girly) and now when I'm 35 I finally started learning to play the guitar and it makes me so happy to be able to play it and just enjoy it:)
I love this song so much. It might be because of memories. Or the song just has a happy romantic vibe without being too overdramatic. She just wants you in her life, damn it.
I heard the horror version of this song just before this one so when I sang it in my kitchen and my mother said she knew it I was scared for my life just for her to show me this one which if I had know prior I would've have not literally craped my pants.
Awwe I’m so sorry. God bless you and deepest condolences to your family. I hope this song reminds you of her…ALWAYS N FOREVER ♾️. I love this song too😉. This is one of me n my Cousin Catherine’s favorite song!

People dress like slobs and have no concern for their fellow man or national pride. Give them their phones, tablets and social media and they are happy. So sad.
Me too 😢
Absolute truth…watching this…you can feel how much better the world was in 1999 & just how far we’ve fallen in this country in 24 years…it’s almost unbelievable how far we’ve fallen
I'm thinking the same thing, absolutely took it for granted.
This song reminds me of how single I am.
My late brother Phangie s favourite song 🎶…..may ur Soul continue to rest in peace ❤
I love that Rachel and Freddie are in this!
I used to sit by the radio when I was a kid and wait for this song to come on and when it did I would imagine I was flying with the fireflies. Easier times, love this song!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'll never be able to hear this song normally again after hearing JerryTerry's version.

The nostalgia this song gives is overwhelming.

I feel nostalgia listening to this song and I’m 16
@@rickyk4214 was you 16 or is 16?
actually had my first kiss to this song..
I miss the 90s. Or maybe I just miss being young.
They're never gonna stop playing 90's songs on the radio, that's how timeless music those days were.
My wife plays this in the car in front of the kids for a good laugh. I cry every time this song is played
We need these type of songs back 😫
I graduated high school 2013 and still remember this song playing in homecoming and prom lmao, glad to lived in the late 90s-early 2000s
I had completely forgotten about this song, then got transported right back to the 90s when I heard it here again. It seems like you blink and an era is over. Sad, but good memories. Hard to describe the feelings.
0:51 "Strike up the band and make the blowflies dance, silver moon's darkening" iconic lyrics
you're mistaking it for the horror version, this one is "fireflies dance"
I got that reference.
Alls i hear is 'and make the fart lies'@@crowbar6281

I’m glad I was born in 2003
Takes me back to when it was a struggle, but it was simple. Just lean my head against the window and let mom drive as I watched the rain fall down the window.
This is one of my all0-time favorite tunes. Even in June, 2024.
who here 2021? miss the music ☺️
it's illegal an iconic song has so less views. Who don't know this song?
I always thought this song was so much bigger
I still remember this song when it came out I was a young fella.90s had some awesome music and musicians

You and I both.

Gee I'd be a lifelong virgin.
If that magical 90s never ended, which in my opinion is the best era that we grew up in....Then we wouldn't be stuck with the stupidity of Today's society with Technology being relied on by Today's Youth.
I was born 1991, and this song brings so many memories when I was 8, and I'm 29 going on 30 this April. The 90's rocked, and can not be beaten!
Hey me too!! I’m turning 30 this April !
And this song makes me wanna go back to the 90s
A beautiful song sung by a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice!!
I know a guy who slept with her and said she was a lousy lay.
5歳の時に親の車で流れてて、これが一番好きだった
I just love how young love and innocence is captured in such a perky song that can only make you giddy with butterflies.
Thanks Sixpence:)

What does your age have to do with positively anything? Like, at all?
This needs over a billion views
This is the most played song in all stores for retired people 😅😅
I still have the cassette to this song.
Shoutout to the NHL for reminding us of this beautiful song.
1999- Summer in Mexico ! I was 12. In my Grandmas and grandpas home
I would watch this on MTV… what a beautiful summer! This song always reminds me of that moment !
Cuantos años tenías!?😊
Yo tenía 15
Cute, romantic, fun song.
It was wonderful when I first heard it
and it hasn't lost anything at all in the years since.
I will NEVER be able to hear this song the same way ever again-
i have a suggestion we all team up to build a time machine and go back to the 90s. when music was good, phones werent distroying our social life and mental health, and people didnt get so offended over everything.
Really agree! Let's come back to the 90's
Count me in
YES PLEASE!!!
And everybody was middle class, and the violent riff-raff stayed in the hood.
@@arminiusofgermania And you had to bring up the negative vibes... wow...
i remember this coming on the speakers at our middle school dance, i was sitting next to my crush at the table, her and i have been talking for a long time and i finally decided to ask her out as my girlfriend. she happily said yes, said she’s waited for so long and she kissed me for the first time. my very first one too.
That's so cute :')
thats a scene straight out of a cheasy teen rom com. lucky you~
Are you guys still together?

So much.
When I was 6 my grandpa picked me up from school and this song played in the car. He gave me a hard time and said ‘don’t you ever kiss boys! Don’t ever get married!’
I was so embarrassed but I always treasured my time with him.
My uncle died at 47 too It was Very hard for everyone because a few data later my grandpa died too.
Aww...you go girl. Keep smiling 😃
sa
You can kiss me anytime 😁
2024 we there❤ this song made me get my first girl

10 years ago me and my bf danced to this. Now, we are going to dance to this on our wedding.
Congratulations
I cannot hear this song without the ABJECT HORROR that kiss me (kill me) inspired, 10/10.
I remember immediately falling in love with this song after hearing it in “she’s all that”. Leaving the theater I was singing it all the way home 😫
For anyone questioning what I mean by horror version it's called 'Kiss Me (Kill Me)' by JerryTerry
Same happened at work today. Holy shit
I played that for my baby girl. Alexis, she loved it she died at 18 🌈🦋🌈🙏💕❤️
