Have the OG Komodo, and got my X on Thursday last week. So far I love it. Like you I don’t really shoot much high frame rate but having the option to shoot as high as 100fps in widescreen 6k is pretty insane:
@@pauleporterdp actually, yes. There’s more dynamic range but I’m not knowledgeable enough to say what that is in stops, but it’s noticeable. I’d say textures look more pleasing as well. There’s less of the green undertone to shots than in the OG Komodo

Well it is a 67% price increase. Let's hope that CineD will really measure that +0.5 stop in their dynamic range test otherwise it is hard to justify such a drastic price increase.

At the moment we don’t know what the power draw is but I assume it will be higher than the Komodo
