      Do you want them to come hug you? Clearly what they're doing is working and the way you feel despite how loud it may feel on Reddit and in UA-cam commemts you are the minority.
      You want a bunch of free shit, all those games that tried giving too much out and what you want too often die off quickly because you get it all quick and they can't keep content coming as fast as you destroy it and little to look forward to when you can more easily get all the top champs.

    Plarium can do whatever they want.
    They can put out a patch that halves the hp of dead heads and then proceed to add one more turn of the damage barrier. They can make the clan boss on UNM gives half as many sacreds and voids. Peaple will still spend millions when they put 10x Leyasu in the next event.
    They do not care bruh. Thus community is destined to fail at all their "Sentiments".

    If you want to see if Raid/Plarium is dying or growing, you should compare those numbers, against numbers from months ago. Here by just looking at numbers, you could think raid is doing great, like the $8m revenue in raid, sure it is a big number. But compare it to your previous analytic video on the subject (IS RAID SHADOW LEGENDS DYING IN 2024? Hell Hades), raid was making plarium $11m ;) so if you compare 6months ago vs now, raid is making $3m less than 6months ago (and if you compare other numbers, you'd see they are all down compared to your video 6months ago, I just checked)
    And same for the ranking and others, yeah sure, top 16 is not bad ranking, but compare again, comparing to 6months ago, it is down as it was top9 6months ago.
    All in all, I'm not saying raid is dying or growing, but every numbers are down compared to 6months ago, that is facts

    • @aelinstue9431
      @aelinstue9431 Місяць тому +2

      Or just realize he's not doing a super deep dive. He made assumptions on what iOs adds and just using very general data tools. You need to dive way more to state any sort of fact like that because youre also comparing different times of days and was that when they did a huge content drop? As they've shown in the past is it by design they know they'll be dropping some off now and then drop a huge patch in December and make it all back and then sum.

    • @pedroalsaresz135
      @pedroalsaresz135 Місяць тому +9

      @@aelinstue9431 For the first part of your message, that is not valid argument tho (the assumptions on IOs and general data tools) since here I am comparing the same things (android vs android. 0 assumptions, only numbers) using the same tools: $ from android 6months ago (in his video) vs £ from android now using the same tools. Yes, it is not 100% accurate, but the gaps ($3m and 7ranks) are big enough to say the numbers show a decline and not just a margin of error.
      For the 2nd part of your message, I agree, but I already thought about it and went through it before typing my message and checked. 6months ago wasn't big content release, and it was Q3 and we are now well into Q4, which in this industry Q4 has been proven to be always better than Q3s (because yeah, here we are not comparing days or hours of a day, it is monthly based at best, quarterly mostly) (This is my job btw, I am a data business analyst)
      You can also compare to november last year which I just did (so before knowing the december patch content drop) and it is showing a decline in revenue, ranking and trends.
      So still, the decline in numbers are a fact that can't be denied, especially knowing the period of the year we are and looking at the gaps, it is not just inacuracy or margin of errors

    • @KresnikOSRS
      @KresnikOSRS Місяць тому

      Just a caveat for doing a comparison on earnings, it would probably be best to compare pefformance YtY & rolling 4 quarters if you really wanted to see a better picture on their performance. Most large businesses have some form of cyclical nature in performance (usually 4Q is the biggest quarter of the year for most and I'd imagine Raid falls in line with that due to Black Friday deals and general Holiday spending) so looking at a more holistic approach is needed to get any real insight. Just looking at 2 different points in time can be misleading.

    • @pedroalsaresz135
      @pedroalsaresz135 Місяць тому +4

      @@KresnikOSRS that's exactly my point and also exactly what I did. I compared Q3 this year with their Q3 last year. Again, Yes, you will see a spike in December and Q4 for the reasons I said above and that you said as well, but still, it doesn't mean there isn't a decline.
      I.e (disclaimer, I'm using random numbers just for explaining my point) right now numbers shows $8m , let's say December, it goes to $12m, that doesn't mean the game is doing well. If last year game was at $11m with a spike in december at $15m, that's still a decline YtD
      As I was saying in my initial message, I'm not saying raid is dying or not making money, don't get me wrong, it does generate revenue ($8m is still a lot of money). My whole point is saying as of right now, YtD comparison shows the game is generating less revenue, and rank lower for the same period of time, tools and metrics comparisons

    • @vasylslupskyy6649
      @vasylslupskyy6649 Місяць тому

      Well, you gotta consider a lot more than comparing to 6y ago.
      Technically you gotta compare it to same time last year (as holidays, patch schedules, contents drops make that big of a difference) check back in December, or after new big even drop, I bet all those numbers will go up.

    Roller Tycoon was free with the CD attached to the front of Cheerios boxes. When you spent maxed marketing campaign in one of the scenario's your CASH skyrocketed. Then once the new guests spent their wallet they were pissed and left. Almost 30 years ago a single person made that game and nailed all of things PLARIUM does to gouge the guests.
    25million divided by 30(days) = $833,333 daily profit.
    25million divided by 720 hours(total monthly hours) = $34722 per hour profit
    25million divided by 43200 (total minutes in 30 days) = $578 per minute profit.
    Raid almost generated $10 a second in October 2024. Let that sink in.

    I found a lot of similarities between Plarium and Blizzard, when Overwatch was a year or two old. The business idea was the infinite model; rather than an explosion of content and methods to generate as much income in a short a time as possible, use a method which generates lower revenue BUT also generates goodwill and loyalty which you can later cash in if there is ever a mistake or a problem. The longer game rather than the shorter game. This means you focus on player retention with a secondary focus on acquisition.
    Raid seem to be going for the short term model - Watcher of Realms, for example, seems like they are going for the infinite model.

    ⚠⚠⚠There might be hope after all...Aristocrat is selling Plarium to MTG starting Q1 2025⚠⚠⚠...Hopefully they listen to the community and do some cool shit with RAID. There is a ton of stuff that needs to be changed and from what I have been reading and seeing, it's not tough to fix most of it. So now we don't have a Casino (I know its not but damn close) running RAID. This could be cool.
    Aristocrat is a company that designs gambling/slot machines that you see in Casinos. That says a lot about why the changes have been so horrible in general and especially within the past 7-8 months. RAID CEO has changed hands around 10-12 months ago and im not too fond of what the last guy has done. I'm sure everyone else feels the same. The greed was running RAID into the ground. RAID was being compared to and treated like a slot machine and not like a mobile game. Yes they need to make money BUT RAID was obviously being compared to a slot machine. This could be good. Hopefully the Swedes fix this mess.

So I don’t know that $8M is necessarily as healthy as it might seem.

    This was good to have, but kind of think it would have been better later in the month. I guess we will need to see next month. We are too close to events that have made people upset to see if it will have an affect. We are seeing stage one effect, but things like the latest Hydra and other things wouldn't show. And it will take awhile for those that play but don't follow the game to decide how they feel about it.

    I think when the sentiment is bad, but the numbers are stable--It just means the player-base is waiting for the next thing. If something amazing, like Godforge comes out, the numbers could bottom out.
    I don't think Raid will ever have a gradual decline until it's death, it will be immediate, and it will be almost too late for Plarium to save it. A lot of us have put a lot of time and money into Raid, and need a real good reason to leave, but that doesn't mean that we won't.

    Some feedback as a viewer relative to older content: I find that, across the board, older content often doesn't apply. There's been so many new types of power creep between gear sets/souls/etc that when you look up a "how to do this" or "how to build this" and its maybe a year old or older, its missing half of the stuff that gives a champ power now. Also, when looking up a build for a champ/team/etc, there's so many new types of content and rebalancing on that (hydra+balance, shogun, etc) that if I look at how to build some champ, I find an older video is like "how to build this champ for dragon 25" ... which is mostly meaningless. The rate at which plarium is adding new things and new power creep is more quickly devaluing older content.

    This just proves that if you want to see change you need to hit them in their wallet. based on the charts it looks like last year's "dont spend december" wasnt actually practiced by many, if the player base wants changes there needs to be a period of protest where at least a sizable portion of the base is unified in not spending and making sure they see the hit in the numbers.

    I've been saying this for quite a while now. There's always been a huge difference between what you see people saying individually and how the game actually performs. Most players just keep going and are more satisfied than not, while a tiny portion (almost entirely the ones who are both high-paying and impatient) are very easily frustrated and complain about every little thing. Those are primarily the people you'll see in comments and such who are just ****ting on the game at every point where there's an actual problem and who you'll so often see claiming that Raid is just dying, while confirmable data says the opposite.
    The reality is that the vast majority of players, like in most games, don't actually advance as much or as fast while most stronger players with remaining interest are the people patient and reasonable enough to recognize that the game is still good and continues to slowly improve.
    There's also a huge factor often ignored when considering competition, and it's not purely that Raid is the best game in its own category. They have a massive number of players who have invested years into the one game, and that naturally leads to an attachment to it that can only be broken by some form of horrible development choices so bad they totally ruin the whole game or outright render it unplayable for a considerable number of people. If a new game came out in the next month and was perfectly equal to Raid, in the exact same style, it still wouldn't necessarily lead to as many players moving as one might expect because people get comfortable with one thing they enjoy and they just stay with it. Most people don't change things much if they're already satisfied, that's just how people usually are.

    It will not change when certain people spend thousands month after month. Some spend tens of thousands. With the world in the shape it is in and the help so many people need, its disgusting to see people spending that kind of money to win cartoon characters. It truly is one of the most ignorant things I've ever witnessed in my life.

    Why would Plarium change? their revenue is almost unaffected and still making plenty of money, i don't think they will change anything with many still spending.

    You also have to take into account we have seen that there are a few select players that have million dollar plus dropped into the game. One player dropping 50 grand in 2 days etc . That doesn't happen much in these sorts of games I wouldn't imagine so those couple massive massive spenders make up a significant part of the revenue.m they lose those few mad spenders then what are they left with? I wish we could see those numbers.. like a list of accounts spending etc. Not maybe showing us who is spending but just like account 1 spent this account 2 spent this etc. Without showing who actually is spending

    • @swamb9417
      @swamb9417 Місяць тому

      Generally these type of games make more money because a big volume of people is spending some compared to a few big spenders. Raid might be an exception but I doubt it.

    Haven't spent in two months or more, skipped two fusions, and they keep doing crap that keeps reinforcing this decision. They torpedoed multiple fusions for Hydra, some of which basically had no use but for Hydra...so why would I go for another fusion again? Last month was unexciting, and this month was pvp champs, and I'm not spending a down payment on a house on this game, so why would I care about pvp either?

  • @andersfroberg4705
    @andersfroberg4705 Місяць тому

    I mean, why wasn't there an outrage over the increasingly shittier rewards, time and time again, from various tournaments and events whilst the points were at the same time steadily increasing? This last FK tournament from the fusion just wanted me to stop playing altogether. First reward was 100k, second was 7 brews, 3 was 250k, 4:th was ONE single fucking superior arcane potion. SERIOUSLY? RAID?
    And that is the major problem with raid IMO, the massive increase of rewards for the spenders and at the same time, a steady circle in a downwards direction towards increasingly shittier rewards for the "lesser spenders".

    Does bloatware from phone updates count as downloads? I know people that everytime their phone updates there is 3 to 5 games that weren't there before and raid is always one of them.

  • @GetnBrains
    @GetnBrains Місяць тому

    We already know theyve added bots. Im convinced theyve put money into some sort of bot system that boosts the numbers (not money) but daily downloads and log ins. Make sense, if these numbers did show a drastic change, players would see that and be more susceptible to follow suit and quit. A snowball downhill effect. Be careful cause when the writing is on the wall for them.. they will do some even DIRTIER TACTICS to “cash out”

    What those analytics tell me is that we overestimate our own influence on Plarium. We see ourselves as 'average players', but actually a lot of us in the comments are the most active (not always the highest spenders) players in Raid. However there are loads of casual players who probably buy packs, don't engage with the youtube scene who shrug and continue when Plarium do stuff.
    You can see what might be the start of a downward trend but equally they might drop some new content, hit the web with a ton of adverts and be trending upwards again. Personally instead of raging about things. We should just decide if Raid brings us enjoyment, if the answer is yes then keep playing. if its a frustrating chore then take a break or quit for good.

    If I have understood your data correctly, the company's performance is flat. If this is the case, I assume the management would be under pressure to increase cash flow. How to do that without losing parts of the player base is the conundrum. If they push too hard for cash, without engaging content, it would not bode well.

    I'm curious what the profit motivation is on Plarium's end since they are owned by this ridiculous conglomerate. I always see people talk about how all they care about is the money, and I think that's true to an extent, but is likely much more true for their parent company. The Plarium guys all did decide to get into game development instead of energy extraction, arms development, selling cigarettes to children, you know things that are guaranteed to make a bunch of cash, I'm sure they have some kind of emotional attachment to what they're producing, much like HH with his endeavours. I suspect they are interested in cultivating good community sentiment, making a game that's fun etc. and having the financial reality still exist where they can make their game. Aristocrat (the parent company) at this point is clueless that there's a problem and has just not yet having to yell at their game developer, their investment, because the income hasn't dropped off a cliff because they fumbled the bag - that's what this data is telling me, currently not a lot. But it was a very interesting pile of data

    I dunno man... feels like there's a major disconnect in the data and how you interpret it. My reasoning is the following: Let's say 1000 ppl download the game.
    I'd assume maybe 20-30% of them end up not continuing to play. That's 700-800 players remaining.
    Let's assume whopping 50% of them actually searching for how to play Raid, that's 350-400 active players.
    Still, I'd assume only maybe 10% of the active players being vocal in feedback. There's always a silent majority and a loud few, so that's 35-40 vocal ones.
    Some of the vocal ones are positive to the changes, some are indifferent. But let's say 70% are negative, that's 25-28 negative players.
    10% of the negative ones quitting, that's 2-3 persons. Out of 1000.
    And we often say most of the money don't come from casual players, it's from the Whales and Krakens. And there's maybe only 1 per... 10k download? or less?
    So yes, Raid have massive downloads and make a lot of money. But these numbers don't necessarily equal each other. If a couple of Krakens quit, the download numbers are still going to be high (Hydra is an end game thing). If people quit, it's still just a small number compared to the overall game search/download numbers.
    Plarium will have access to more accurate numbers. Like account activity level week by week.
    I believe the silent majority of late/end game players don't advocate for any of the nerfs. CCs are all just a small echo chamber. I think some whales/krakens have indeed quit, and a lot of spenders have stopped their random yolo spending. The question is whether it's enough to make a dent.

    They will realise too late, if they don't give back to the community (a load of RL changes + a decent free login champ + buff sh*t + sort Hydra properly (their team working on this are mental) + DECENT REWARDS) soon those graphs will show an extreme down trend. Shame they don't get this, quick money = ignorance, just my opinion

I for one will be moving on to King Arthur when it comes out. I can't wait for Godforge. Will be there as well on day one. Plarium and Raid are run by horrible people. They are beyond stupid.

  • @andybesser4464
    @andybesser4464 Місяць тому

    Costs are way too high and RAID overvalues items, i.e. Primal Shards. If you're only getting Rare's from them, these shards aren't worth $5 each. Plus Lego books are over priced for the average guy. Also, the difficulty in CB and Hydra is excessive in my opinion. Sure, you can get all these items by playing the game although it takes a lot of resources to do that which returns back to needing money to buy resources.

    I can't believe people look at the prices on the dinky packs that Plarium sells and they buy it anyway. The gacha genre is just depressing. Mobile gamers will buy anything. Plarium should charge more than they do because it would still sell. The "quality" of the game hardly matters at all.
