- For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is the elusive, numbers matching, 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429! Yes, that's right, a 69' Mustang Boss 429 for sale! With just over 13,000 ORIGINAL MILES, this is one of the lowest mileage Boss Mustangs in the world! This Mustang is one of the world's most famous, renown, and valuable muscle cars. With only 859 Boss 429s ever made (857 were Mustangs), they're seen few and far in between. This 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 9 for sale was built by Ford so the mighty 429 could be used to compete with Chrysler's 426 Hemi in the NASCAR circuit. To legally compete, 500 models must be built and sold to the public. And alas, the Boss 429 was born! These engines were severely underrated, at 375 horsepower. A solid number, no doubt, but some sources say actual horsepower was far and beyond 500! In order to fit this engine in the Mustang, Ford contracted out the work to Kar Kraft in Brighton, MI to complete the heavy modifications. This Boss 429 for sale was built on April 11th, 1969 and sold shortly after to Vanderstyne Ford Inc. in New York. This beautiful example is original, with only minor pieces, refreshed, changed, or refurbished. This 69' Ford Boss Mustang for sale has full documentation, including: Marti report, original build sheet, KK sticker (KK 1707), Special Performance vehicle ID, original window sticker, all body stamped Vin #s, invoices, history pictures, work pictures, and report from a gold car judge. and original markings. The Boss 429 engine was overhauled and kept fresh, to assure decades more of reliability and enjoyment. The car's original colors have been retained: Raven Black on the outside, and a beautiful Black vinyl interior. The car was repainted in 2014 and shows beautifully. Where Mach 1s and Shelbys are typically adorned with striping, the Boss 429 has a much more subtle exterior scheme. Mono-tone paint and simple "Boss 429" lettering on the fender make the car a bit of a sleeper. Take a peek anywhere on or around this car and you can see that it's a real gem! Hop inside and the interior looks and feels like it just came off the line, in 69'. The wood grain dashboard and large analogue clock certainly scream 1969, but the 4 speed shifter and full instrumentation scream race car. The Boss 9 was the top of the line Mustang so of course it came well equipped. This fine example is equipped with Power brakes, Power steering, AM radio, 3.91 Traction-Lok axle ratio, AM radio, rally wheels wrapped in raised white letter bias ply tires, competition suspension, seat belts, and the Functional front air spoiler. A Boss 429 is on any Mustang collector's list. This is a lovely example of the breed, and would be a wonderful addition to any collection. My dad had this car when I was a kid, we used always tell faster cause it would pin you to the seats when he punched it. He sold it because people tried to break into our home to steel it . Bad ass car

Nothing more beautiful than a black 69 boss mustang.God that thing is a masterpiece.Imagine driving with your girl in that beast and she says YOU CANT HAVE BOTH 'ITS ME OR THE CAR .Without a seconds hesitation I'd pull over get out and walk and open her door and say have it your way .OUT. After shes out I'd do a tire smoking burnout and wind her through the gears as I drive away laughing.

Yeah for insurance purposes they rated it at a pathetic 375. The tuned one was pushing over 500 but was very hard to drive on street due to the freaking horse it put out.
