You're most welcome! One thing I didn't discover until trying to edit this video is that rendering times are terrible now. I'm hoping it's just a setting that needs to be tweaked .. when I find it I will post a new video
It's been years since I last used the video editor as my experience back then was not good. Is it now possible to rotate and zoom into things without intense suffering?
LOL yes the experience is much better now - you can rotate, move and zoom things directly in the Preview. Hotkeys for that are: r, g and s. And you can select the things to change by clicking on them in the Preview. The one huge problem I'm seeing now is slow render times. I'm hoping I can google a solution over the weekend for that
Oh, if you meant doing a Ken Burns- style animated pan+zoom, then it's also a fairly decent experience. Obviously takes a bit more effort than just setting up your media in the scene
@@mgc9002 i meant doing a simple rotate+zoom of a picture. When I tried to make a very simple video back then I had to do just that and it would stupidly crop out on the edges whenever I tried the rotation, i even asked about that on the Discord and nobody who replied knew how to help me with it. Advanced workflow is one thing, but when I can't even do that I know I'm not dealing with useful software
Ok then yes, it is much easier now. I used to have to resort to some tricks to get a portrait-oriented video to show up correctly. Now it's a simple matter of setting the Rotation to 90 degrees and it's done
Props to you for: -tackling the real-life issues with video editing -you using Linux and Antix. Shame to you for: -choosing the ugliest system theme on earth (Man, antix has so many nice themes just pick one please...) ;)
