You should buy genuine classic drive in movies film strips and a special analogue or even digital film projector that scans them live and outputs them through an analogue cord, or whatever you need to fit your specifications on the setup.
this comes at such a perfect time. i just broke up with my boyfriend of almost two years, who used to play nancy drew games with me... really needed some new positive memories with it. thank you
I hope you do find joy in being single again - as I did when I was broken up with two years ago - and please don't worry; love will find you and you will find it again
During the Brutalmoose Nancy hiatus, my best friend and I decided to play some nance pants on our own... and now its become our entire personality. We played this one not too long ago. Not the worst! But still a lot of fun. My favourite continues to be Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon.
I'm planning on buying blue moon. Would that be hard for beginners? My gf plays them on my steam lol So far she's only neaten crystal skull if that's any indication on the level she's at lol
@@IMakePeopleSaltyApparently I would say its a great beginner game! Not any harder than Crystal Skull! And it doesnt have an annoying long puzzle like the cemetery one in Crys 😂 Plus the characters in Last Train are the best
Yep, it’s moments like that that makes me proud of this community. It’s one of the best communities of the internet don’t regret being a part of since 2015. ♥️🤗
my best friends introduced me to brutalmoose at the beginning of the pandemic and i'm so thrilled to have so much of him to watch. i'm especially happy that he's still going strong. i just finished some of his other nance playthroughs so this is a sweet surprise!!
Well, I guess we're adding shorthand writing to the list of Nancy Drew puzzles where both Ian and chat struggled through it together. I'm looking at you Bug Hunt from Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake! So far, I'm liking the story on this one.
This game made me obsessed with learning shorthand for a brief moment of my childhood. I never finished the game, but somehow I was able to read shorthand after playing it. 😂
I remember playing this game when I was a kid! My mom was really into this series, and she let me play when she was done with them, occasionally pointing me in the right direction if I got stuck (which was often, because I was kinda a dumb kid)
These streams of Nancy are my favorite. When I was younger I played all the nancy games with my mom and my sister. My mom always knew when the new game released and it was so fun to go find the game at some store, the day it came out! We kept loads of notebooks with notes from the games. I have such great memories of dragging the kitchen chairs into the family office to sit next to my mom. I played the latest one by myself and then called my mom after we both finished it. We were both disappointed lol Anyways Thanks Ian!
man since watching you first start playing nance games i went out and bought all of them. i freaking love nance so much i used her for inspo for a DnD character (J.D. Deru, a gnome warlock who has a pact so she can speak with the dead to solve mysteries)
You are very respectful of people's privacy, and it shows in the way you do your investigating! You still reserve your cursor moving and hesitate like when you finally went in the dark corner for the newspaper. You really have to explore everything in the Nancy Drew games.
You have no idea how excited I am to see new Nance streams. I've been going through a really hard time recently and this actually made me smile. Thanks for sharing Ian!
To be fair, shorthand IS very mystery detective vibes. It's complicated and tedious, but at least it fits the genre more than say looking for worms under rocks for a month of in-game time.
I’ve played all the nance games. I think Ghost of Blackwood Manor is the scariest. But Shadow at Water’s Edge is a close second. Mad jumpscares in both. Also I was super excited to see this upload. Great to see you!
Whenever I start one of these Nance streams, I think "this looks like fun!!" And an hour into the game it's like "this tween game is beyond my capabilities" 🤣
I was sick from the covid vaccine when this was uploaded and it absolutely made my day, but I'm pretty sure I fell asleep multiple times so I'm looking forward to properly watching it for the first time.
The people who are saying there are only 2 games based off of the books are 100% incorrect. There is an actual book called The Haunted Carousel. There's another book called Treasure in the Royal Tower. There are some games that are based on more than one book. Secrets Can Kill, Stay Tuned for Danger, and The Final Scene are based on Nancy Drew Files books with the same names. There are so many games that are based on the books. Maybe not all of the games are, but a lot are definitely based on the books.
You are awesome in these games as far as entertaining and getting us through these games. When I watch you play them, I am remembering how my daughter and I played them. All the mistakes' hesitations questions and the big sigh when you finally get through it, like the shorthand exactly the same!! Please agree you do get a little education in a lot of different things in these games.
Only have gotten to 1:04:12 but I want to get nit-picky over this rated E Nancy Drew game lol "Fakes don't just sparkle like that." More often then not, they do sparkle more then the real deal.
I forgot that Ian plays fantasy football! The first Seahawks game of the season was real fun. I felt like we got a lil showcase of all the talented guys we got. I've only been watching since last year though. I still have a lot to learn!
2:59:25 that's not actually true. All the games are based off the books. its part of the deal with the book publisher. Some are more vague in terms of the book references though. Only Secret of the Old Clock, Treasure in the Royal Tower, Secret of Shadow Ranch are really heavy on the book reference and have the same names. I'm not really sure where that person got the information that only 2 were.
This game and Nancy Drew: The Haunted Mansion scared the absolute shit out of me as a child, especially discovering that you can easily kill yourself with the carousel and the game just literally cuts to the title screen, no outro, Nancy presumably never found.
right before Ian talks during the start up around the time of 5:00 what is that song, I must know, I would really like to add it in my collection of chill. thanks so much friends for looking at my post.
Man, every time someone's like "don't look in there, that's not yours" I want Nancy to turn around and be like "shut up, shithead, I'm a detective. I'll look where I please. You got a problem, talk to your boss."
This was the first Nancy Drew game I ever played. I remember when I discovered Arglefumph's videos for the first time. Funnily enough, he started with this one as well. I know this game like the back of my hand. It'll be fun seeing you play this. I was probably too young when I started playing this. Some of the deaths would freak me out. The game over sequence for using the lathe without wearing any eye protection was pretty gruesome because of the descriptions afterwards. Plus just the wild child imagination of being skewered by the carousel poles. Ugh. Plus the exaggerated flipping and falling off your horse on the carousel when missing the brass ring.
This one gives me Detective Barbie vibes, which is kind of funny because if I recall correctly the first HerInteractive Nancy Drew game and the first Detective Barbie came out the same year. (Also funnily enough my favorite BrutalMoose streams to watch are the Nancy Drew and Barbie ones)
This was the first game I played by myself I think I had the typical early 2000s Nancy drew introduction where I was at a sleepover and we play treasure in the royal tower and got introduced to these games but this was the first game I ever played by myself like not with anyone else.
There is technically a link to go straight to the Stream Start, but I highly recommend you check out those beginning five minutes. What a TREAT! Oh Wow!
My gf just moved in with me and i had to explain to her why i was excited to watch hours of a grown man playing a nancy drew game..... She doesnt get it.

You should buy genuine classic drive in movies film strips and a special analogue or even digital film projector that scans them live and outputs them through an analogue cord, or whatever you need to fit your specifications on the setup.
And if that sounds two expensive, try to rent. Or, because of your loyal following, you could reach out asking people online.
this comes at such a perfect time. i just broke up with my boyfriend of almost two years, who used to play nancy drew games with me... really needed some new positive memories with it. thank you
Hey, you’re awesome and love will find you again when you least expect it🧡 and in the meantime NANCE NANCE NANCE!!!
Nancy will always be that bihh 🖤🖤🖤

That's one of my favorites. I really hope he plays it soon so he can react to a certain mascot. 😆
Nice!! They're my childhood, I love them ^^
Last Train is SOO GOOD

I'm SO EXCITED! The Curse of Blackmoor Manor walkthrough is a comfort watch for me!
Ive watched that stream at least 100 times by now cuz it helps me sleep. Absolutely love that piece of content and moose in general
@@lv5woodelf I thought I was the only one that did that! Nice to know I’m not the only one.
Chat was so amazingly supportive to me at the start of the stream. Moose fans are such a cool and chill bunch. ❤ Thank you all so much~
Yep, it’s moments like that that makes me proud of this community. It’s one of the best communities of the internet don’t regret being a part of since 2015. ♥️🤗
I immediately screamed when I saw this in my subscription feed. I’m so excited to watch, this game was one of my favorites!

I feel like the security guard is about to tell me that the Tunnel Snakes rule.
Just when I got done binging the entire Nancy Drew playlist, a new one is here! I'm so excited.
I really appreciate Ian for playing these. I watched my mom play these games when I was little. Great nostalgia.
I adored the whole stream. The startup with the game laid out on the turning disc was so nostalgic, I loved it

this needs to be thumbs upped sososososo many times

Squealed in my car when I saw you posted this.
"my mom took away my caller ID because I was using it to ignore boys and she didn't like hearing the phone ring" is so funny
There's nothing better than randomly seeing if Moose has played another Nance game and finding that YES, he has!
Omg I asked you to play this a while back! Seeing that you did made my whole week omg I'm so excited to watch this!
a new nance stream is such a treat 💜 love you ian

Another Nancy drew? Don't mind if I do! *grabs notebook*

First time watching a VOD from Ian in a while (been watching RTVS) and I'm so glad I decided to swing by again!
Watching 3+ hours of vod just to see that my sub message made Ian kinda almost laugh... worth it 100% 😁
