The tragedy with Kikuyu opposition politicians is that they think President Ruto is their main political enemy. Let them think deeper.
He started off so nice, talking of how the Kenyan economy is driven then totally deluded the conversation in pure conspiracy fashion. He pointed out that the money the Somali community makes is mainly used to develop Eastleigh and not Garissa (in the example given). The issue with this logic is that it goes against his own ideology of where the money is supposed to be spent (Kenya) to develop the economy. Maybe to him, Eastleigh is not part of Kenya. He also did not fail to create another conspiratory narrative of the ` Somali intellectuals` conspired to direct most of the alcohol to the Mount Kenya region (Central). Mind you, he provided no form of evidence. Most of his arguments are straw manned. Providing only mischaracterized and miscontexualized viewpoints.

Kenya economy has benefitted immensely from the collapse of Somalia. Uganda under Museveni is encouraging Somalis to settle in Uganda to bring into the country foreign remittance, good for the economy of the country. Same thing many countries are doing to attract foreigners who can bring in foreign currency. So if Kenya government does not become friendly to Somali families with strong foreign remittance potential, Uganda, Rwanda etc will be happy to receive.
