여러분 안녕하세요~ 드럼치러가니입니다.
이번 곡은 하니언니와 함께 뮤직비디오와 가사를 해석까지가 시간이 걸려서 업로드가 좀 늦어지게 되었네요.
이번 곡은 ‘헬레나’라는 인물을 제 나름대로 재해석 해보았습니다.
맨 처음 뮤직비디오와 노래를 보고 들을 때엔 화자가 헬레나를 그리워하고 부르는 비통하고 처절한 느낌을 받았었어요. 그런데 보다보니 뮤비 속 ‘헬레나’에 대해 궁금해졌고, 그 캐릭터에 대해 찾아보기 시작했습니다.
그리고 뮤비 속 헬레나의 춤을 다시 봤을때 추모객 중 한명의 머리 위로 손이 쓰다듬듯이 지나치는 순간 그녀를 부르는 화자와 그녀를 추모하는 다른 이들을 위로하고 있다는 생각이 들더라구요,
그래서 이번 곡은 제가 느낀 ‘위로하는 헬레나’ 그리고 ‘상처와 후회되는 일들을 감싸안고 떠나는 헬레나’의 입장이 되어 곡을 표현해보면 좋겠다는 생각을 했습니다.
영상의 도입부에는 실제로 제가 누군가로부터 받았던 상처들과 누군가에게 주었을 상처로 인한 미안함과 슬픔을, 그리고 저뿐만 아니라 살아가며 그런 상처들을 가지고 있을 모두를 생각하며 연주했습니다.
곡의 중반부 부터는 누구나 살아가면서 그럴 수 있고, 만약 그런 일들이 있었다 해도 자기 자신을 혐오 한다거나 너무 힘들어하지 않았으면 좋겠는 마음을 담아 연주했습니다.
우리는 살아가면서 의식적이든 무의식적이든 서로가 서로에게 상처를 줄 때가 있습니다. 그리고 그 상처들을 서로 치유할 기회가 주어진다면 참 좋겠지만, 기회를 놓쳐 후회하고 아파하는 경우도 있겠지요.
이런 아픔들을 표현할 수 있는 순간들을 놓치지 않을 때, 그리고 마주할 수 있을 때 우리는 또 한걸음 성장해 나아갈 것이라 생각합니다.
우린 삶에 닥친 상처와 문제들을 현명하게 풀어갈 수 있는 사람들입니다.
그리고 여러분의 삶의 아픔들이 제 ‘헬레나’로 조금이나마 위로와 용기가 되셨기를 바랍니다.

Hello everyone~ This is GANI DRUM
The upload of this song was delayed a bit because it took time to interpret the music video and lyrics with Hani.
For this song, I reinterpreted the character ‘Helena’ in my own way.
When I first watched and listened to the music video and song, I got a sad and desperate feeling as the speaker sang and missed Helena. But as I watched it, I became curious about ‘Helena’ in the music video, and started looking up that character.
And when I saw Helena in the music video again, I thought that the moment when Helena's hand passed over the head of one of the mourners in her dance as if stroking it, she was comforting the speaker who misses her and the others who mourn her.
So, for this song, I thought it would be good to express myself from the perspective of ‘Helena comforting people’ and ‘Helena leaving while embracing people’s hurts and regrets’.
At the beginning of the video, I talk about the hurt I have received from someone I have experienced and the regret and sadness caused by the hurt I may have given to someone.
And I played it, thinking not only of myself but of everyone who has suffered such wounds in their lives.
From the middle part of the song, I played it with the mindset that anyone can experience something like that in their life, and that even if something like that happens, I don't want them to hate themselves or have a hard time.
There are times in our lives when we hurt each other, consciously or unconsciously. And it would be great if we were given the opportunity to heal those wounds, but there may be times when we miss the opportunity and end up regretting and hurting.
I believe that we will grow once again when we do not miss the moments when we can express and resolve these pains, and when we are able to face the pain.
We are people who can wisely solve the wounds and problems that come in life.
And I hope that my ‘Helena’ gives you some comfort and courage through the pain in your life.

떠나간 이를 다시는 보지 못한다는 슬픔, 그리움, 혹은 더 잘해주지 못했다는 자책 말고는 아무 것도 할 수 없다는 무력감을 느꼈던 기억이 있습니다.
그리고 추운 겨울이 지나고 새로운 생명이 피어나는 봄, 제가 알던 분들께서 기억 속 한 켠에 몇 장의 추억으로 남게 됐을 때 비로소 지금 필요한 것은 떠나간 이들에 대한 후회보다 남겨진 이들에 대한 위로일 수도 있겠다는 생각을 하게 됐습니다.
해석의 방향이 정답이냐 아니냐를 떠나서 '위로하는 헬레나'라는 해석을 따라가 보면 결국 '어쩌면 떠나간 이들도 그걸 바라시지 않을까' 라는 목적지에 도착하게 되는 것 같아서 개인적으로 어떤 해석보다도 가장 마음에 드는 해석인 것 같아요.
쓰다보니 너무 딥해졌는데 가끔은 그냥 멜로디가 좋아서, 리듬이 좋아서 빠지게 되는 노래가 있죠. 하지만 또 가끔은 가사를 곱씹어보고 가수나 작곡가의 배경, 감정 등을 해석하고 공감하며 듣는 노래도 좋은 것 같아요. 마찬가지로 가끔은 이렇게 깊이 고민하며 해석한 곡도 올려주셨으면 좋겠고, 가끔은 부담 없이 '그냥' 좋아하는 곡도 올려주셨으면 좋겠습니다.
어떤 곡이든, 어떤 영상이든 항상 응원하며 챙겨보겠습니다. 너무 멋있어요!
감정을 표현하고 전달하는 데 있어서 드럼이라는 악기에 한계가 있지 않을까라는 생각에 제가 사랑하는 악기에 대해 아쉬움을 느끼고 있었는데 같은 악기를 연주해도 이렇게 많은 생각을 하고 감정을 표출할 수 있다는 사실에 위로받고 갑니다! 그리고 커버는 진짜 찢으셨어요❤
서두에 가니가 말한것처럼 이곡은 떠나간 사람을 그리워하는 처절함 슬픔에 초점이 맞춰져서 들었었죠. 장례식 검은색 졀규 슬픔. 정말 자주들으면서도 와닿는 몇소절 말고는 가사를 찾아 볼 생각을 안했었어요. 우선 플레이되면 빠져들어서 앨범 정주행하는데 집중하게 되는 곡이라.. ㅎㅎ 가니 해석을듣고보니 정말 헬레나가 남은사람들을 위로해주는 느낌이네요. 무었보다 지금까지 생각했던 어떤 헬레나보다 더이쁜 가레나ㅏㅏㅏㅏ
초반에 섹시하게까지 느껴지는 표정과 몰입도가 눈을 떼지못하게 하고
눈 밑에있는 검은 나비가 떠나간 여인를 연상케함.
중반부터 나비가 없어지고 너무 예쁜 눈장식과 밝은표정의 가니는 위로를 해주면서 또 위로받은 (성불?) 가니로 보이고 혹은 즐거웠던 시간들을 추억하는 가니로 보여서 또 감동 .
어느때보다 더 몰입하며 파워풀하게 치는 가니한테 한번더 반함 ㅠㅠ 이번영상 역대급입니당
