If someone tried to go over 100mph, the centrifugal forces they would apply on themselves would result in a structural failure (explosion) Not to mention, the 49cc 2 stroke Moped would have a top speed of 60km/h (37mph) with the speed restrictor removed, and the Honda Monkey, with it's 9.4hp 125cc engine and 5 speed gearbox (you can still get these things brand new) has a top speed of 90km/h (56.5mph) and that's full throttle, top gear, and at maximum revs of 6750rpm, It can never go any faster than that! there must be something in the water cooler at the police station!
