I mean, the truth does hurt sometimes. I think it's important we keep our expectations in check not just with two "cupcake" games coming up but even for the next couple weeks until hopefully Precious is back for starters.
The foul calls on challenges is a new rule. They wanted to get rid of the out of bounds challenges where a player goes out of bounds due to a foul but in the past they couldn't do anything beyond determining who last touched the ball. So now they can go back and call a foul if it occurred.
Jon hukporti had 4 blocks lol I get it that this wasn't good but why not highlight that maybe they do have some depth with all these injuries with out some other guys played
macri is a fraud. hes finding anything to pick on with him. criticizing the open jump shot that he took is dumb. he was wide open. it was a good shot and it just didnt fall. clyde said it himself on the call, you want to see him take those shots if hes wide open.
I really enjoyed the Hukporti mins even tho the +/- may say otherwise. Jericho has been in the system for 3-4 years now.. yet it feels like Porti been there just as long- if not longer (pause). I think the upside is there but I don’t want to hype it up just yet.
Jon, how can you kill Huk for taking an open jumper up double digits in the third quarter, taken off a pass where a teammate (Mikal?) clearly wanted him to shoot it, while completely disregarding that Jalen bricked quick-trigger 3-pointer early in the shot clock with some 48 seconds left and the game in the balance? first, if Hukporti isn’t going to take that shot in the 12th game of the season in November, there’ll never be the right time for him. odds are, if he’s playing, there’ll be moments when teams will leave him open, daring him to take that jumper. I’d rather he not be timid about it. second, and this is prefaced by me saying that I love Jalen much as most other Knicks fans, but he didn’t play a particularly smart game last night (and there have been other instances of that in this early season) - silly fouls, four mostly unforced turnovers, and aforementioned bad shots. if this team is to be serious about winning, even its best player cannot be above criticism. especially its best player. if JB misses that game-winning 3 in the final seconds, I’m certain we’d be talking about all the things he did wrong. again, I love Brunson, but the Knicks almost lost the game in which they had the lead most of the night, as much as 21. if the mistakes that almost opened the door for a collapse against the Nets in a mid-November matchup aren’t acknowledged and addressed, how is this team to be expected to compete with the higher echelon teams late in the season, and potentially in playoff matchups?
I dont mind the game to game analysis or pointing out out glaring weaknesses at defense when it was our strength last yr but i hate how Knicks fans are crashing out with the “we’re not good” takes lol. Do we have some things to figure out? Yes. But determining our season based off 12 games is crashout behavior 😂..plus ive seen Thibs have our teams gelling after 20-30+ games so im not AS worried
well the fact is that the team does not look like a contender 12 games in to the season. will that change? probably. but that shouldnt change the fact that we need to look at the product on the court objectively and that the team needs to be better straight up. they just gotta be better.
You are not being negative. Your observations are accurate. There is a difference. Front office should be worried! They made the wrong moves. It was evident 10 minutes into the first pre-season game!
Took me 35 minutes to get to the part where Mac said what I was thinking . It feels like a big step back, with the health I think we should give them a break but Mikel can’t stay in front of a fire hydrant right now
Lol, i didn't realize it, but i am offended by this team. I been finding it hard to watch games, the effort and disappointment on the defensive end are definitely the driving factors. As well as Brunson just looking out of rhythm period, he's making uncharacteristic mistakes, missing his got to shots and just not looking like Brunson. I get the broken hand and not his normal summer routine, but i didn't expect him to look like this. I still expect the team to peak in February and believe they'll be a top 4 seed.
I just wish we could have ran it back with most of our guys from last year that balled so hard. Injuries destroyed them in the playoffs but when all were good it was amazing. Would we have been better off keeping Randle DD and giving Isaiah the bag, was that even possible idk.
Bro how can u and all these Knicks fans not understand we couldn’t pay Hartenstein we were capped out 72 mill. Him leaving made all this necessary cause Mitch can’t be relied on and Sims would have been our starting center
bro idk if u know this but the knicks literally could not resign isaiah. they gave him the most he could and would’ve moved mitch to create cap space but okc gave him 27 when the most we could possible offer him was 16-17. whether the knicks made any trade for mikal or kat, keeping isaiah wasn’t a possibility at all unless he would take a paycut but he chose what’s best for him and his family and u can’t be mad at him. what the knicks would’ve payed him for 4 years in new york, he got almost the same for 2 years
🚨Mini Rant Alert🚨 It's weird to hear Jon harp small bad things rookies do like they're not a member on the team. All players make bad plays throughout the game. Also, I will never agree with the notion of not playing a rookie because he's a rookie(not saying you said). The tone when you praised Cam Payne's play, even though you mentioned his flaws, was so different than Hukporti. Josh Hart giveths and takeths away a lot. The name on the jersey says NEW YORK not rookie or vet. Again, if a player contributes to winning, it should be fair across the board. Sims being just "ok" isn't ideal. Not trying to hate on Sims, but I think he's following the path of Kevin Knox. 4 years of college and this is his 4th year in the NBA. He still doesn't seem to know what his NBA game is. I predict that Sims will be out of here by the trade deadline.
That jump shot wasn't bad, nets was turning up the defense and That was the open shot... That was given to them.... Too me it was a good shot... You can't say he can never take shots like that until we know for sure he can't shoot from that range...
Ironic that the Nets got six first round picks from the Knicks for their "best" player yet they are significantly better this year. Maybe the Knicks got ripped off.
Only a pie-eyed optimist would put the Knicks among the best teams in the league. Don't see a path to that with the current roster and they have given away nearly all of their future draft picks which means that it will only get worse.
The Knicks are 3rd in offense 13 on defense in their last 10 games. What exactly do you mean? Denver hit those numbers and won a championship. You sound very alarmist and ill informed
@@bloodofdepanta So am I to understand that you place the Knicks as equal to Boston, Cleveland, Oklahoma, Phoenix and Denver? If not they are not among the best teams in the league as I said. If yes, you have been smoking something. This so highly ranked defense just gave up 124 and 122 points at home to Chicago and the Nets, both 5-8. I would hate to see how much they will give up to good teams. By the way, the ballyhooed starting five are a cumulative -2.8 net rating this year so far. And with this bench that shows you how far this team has to go to be considered among the best teams in the NBA.
Huk was great, definitely much more impactful than Sims, but he definitely made a lot of mistakes on defense. They got a lot of open 3s because of him, they were just missing shots during the stretch he kept messing up on defense.
I came here feeling good, 20 minutes in I’m feeling bad, thanks Macri
I mean, the truth does hurt sometimes. I think it's important we keep our expectations in check not just with two "cupcake" games coming up but even for the next couple weeks until hopefully Precious is back for starters.
A win is a win is a win.

Sims might be the worst player in the nba hes basically always lost the outcry for hukporti should be louder

That sarcastic rant was hilarious.
GMAC - clip that!

Cam Payne is certainly an experience 😮 lol
Lets make it happen tomorrow night.
Man relax
macri........yes we are breathing easy---errrr..........but they look like a 45 win team......someone please yoke up finney on sunday funday

The77 really paid to ask what’s our offense while having the 3rd ranked offense. Lmao. What a clown.

Dude, we're 12 games into this new season. Last season is past us. Move on.
That 8 or 10 games they played together before the injuries. They were unbeatable
we literally couldn't give hartenstein the bag we could only offer him $17 mil a year okc gave him $27 mil
Bro how can u and all these Knicks fans not understand we couldn’t pay Hartenstein we were capped out 72 mill. Him leaving made all this necessary cause Mitch can’t be relied on and Sims would have been our starting center

They should kept the old team together. They just needed defensive big. Walker Kessler or Lori.
They couldn't resign Hartenstein because of the cap, and Robinson's hurt. They couldn't keep the old team together - it was gone anyway.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
