I just received the paperback edition of this book. The edge is golden and some elements of the cover are textured. It cannot therefore be slipped into a bookcase or placed under another book. I found him a box. Inside, the artwork is breathtaking. Ce livre est une pure merveille.

Making Alphonse Mucha's profound interpretation of the Pater Noster so approachable, not just through your careful words, but by the methodical, didactic manner in which you've organised the chapters and related art that inspired it... Last weekend I came across a piece by Mucha (my introduction to his work) and I swear the model looked exactly like someone very dear to me. I sent her a picture and told her jokingly this must have been her from a past life. Now that I have a glimpse of the content of this book, which my dear friend would be fascinated by, I have absolutely no doubt this is meaningful beyond reason... If that makes sense. I must get a copy!
I watched the first 5 minutes and realised this is just too wonderful to miss out on, and gifted it myself for my shortly upcoming 50th birthday ! Ordered ! thanks for the inspiration, as ever 🙌🏽🙏🏽

You just sold a copy of this new edition of Le Pater. Many educated people are unaware of the profound influence that mysticism (as we call it) had on the Modernist aesthetic. The Symbolist movement itself was significantly, intentionally esoteric, and many people enjoy works associated with that movement without any awareness or understanding of the esoteric elements. I've found that my appreciation of artists such as JK Huysmans, August Strindburg and Maurice Maeterlinck has been greatly enhanced by my study of modern European mysticism. Are you familiar with Maeterlinck's play, The Blind (Les Aveugles)?
I know it is complementary! But compare to other books you have shown on this channel this book is to expensive for it content compare to other ones that have similar content. But the cover is very nice!!! Thank you for sharing!
I'm afraid I have to disagree. The format and the construction are very much in a different league from most of what I've shown before. I would say that it's current price is surprisingly low given the quality, size, materials used and content.

Hi I had quite a bit of trouble too the first time it was because i had 2 you tube profiles and though I joined with this one it registered to the first one I had so didn’t get membership badges etc. then when I deleted that profile I had to rejoin again. I am on IOS and I think you need to use chrome when it directs you to join it doesn’t work on safari. I got there eventually though. Good luck! 🤞

It's like a bad dream, bad spell ....how can I make it better. It's like the coin is rigged. The mean angry rotting people seem to get things in there favor too often.
