this airport is probably one of the most spectacular airport of Italy,at least to land.There's the chance to see two regions(calabria and Sicily) just separeted by the strait of Messina
Interesting approach. Unusual in this day and age to have a jet turning final with the radar alt calling 500'. I know it was a hill doing that but the approach in IMC followed by a low viz visual would be stressful to say the least.
