Turnout from clare fire station on 24th January 2015, 2nd callout of the day, other video also uploaded from another incident they attended on the 24th
This is a true reflection of how most of the fire service is run,did retained for 36 years, loved the job but have to say the poor relation to whole time, with poor stns and facilities and appliance hand me downs, work and serve in the town and drop everything to respond then back to there main job,a far cost effective service run a lot on goodwill and dedication, I salute you all stay safe
Aha nicely caught - love the way they all turn up. What a station heh! Everyone drives in there, opens the doors! Like going back in time. How did you know retained got a shout?
Being Irish I saw the reg, I was like wait that aint an Irish reg, then I saw it was suffolk and realised, OHHHHHH this is not the County clare in Ireland, still a great vid though.
what town or village is this firestation located in co clare?-it badly needs upgraded but the way the economy is in south it will probably never happen---bundoran and ballyshannon both promised new station buildings 3 years ago never happened---no money
Paul Pinn the response time is dictated by the fire risk. Clare, and the surrounding area will be Class D and thus the 1st pump needs to be at the fire within 20 minutes of the call being raised on at least 75% of occasions. Retained fire fighters need to be IIRC within 5 minutes of their station at all times when booked as available.
@@Challis1989 Was just thinking that 😂 I'm on an island chain with five retained stations. Nearest wholetime is 120 miles plus a ferry crossing away. Anyway, who needs wholetime? We all do the same training 😂

Great vid mate, the true meaning of Retained responding is in this.
Very nice video! Not very often you get to see the firefighters still pulling in
Wonderful video!! Lovely little station!
How can you say that was a slow turn out 2 minutes and thirty three sec that is real quick for an on call station
Nick Cowley turn out time is recorded from time of call NOT the start of a UA-cam video!!!!
@@Biffo1262 my dad is an on call firefighter, he always says it is supposed to be between 4-7 minutes turnout time
Well, that little kid will now have some permanent hearing loss.

That’s a cool looking station
Why do they keep their appliance in a cattle shed? :-)
It's called repurposing a building
Some places have to go with what they have
There can't be many stations where the appliance costs more than the building! :-)
And who shut the garage door?
Do they take the pump out , when they milk the cows in that shed lol ?????
the good old parish piddlers fantastic teams
Quite 🎇
Those doors!
Geez time for a station upgrade!!
Darren van Ek I was thinking the same thing but the town is probably small so it only needs one appliance
It doesn't look like a fire station it just looks a garage lol
and? does it work? do they save lives? yes. what's your point lmao
@@josh35639 it looks like a garage no point just an observation no need to be aggressive it's just my opinion chill

Didn't you realise it wasn't down south when you seen all the UK number plates?
@@SirMrShanks Not to mention on the side of the appliance at 2:14 it says in big letters: 'SUFFOLK FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE' !
HOW DID HE KNOW THERE WAS A SHOUT PENDING GUY WI CAMERA
i hope no one was waiting to be rescued from a burning building. .. so slow to turn out..
Paul Pinn given it's an on call station and they come from home that was pretty quick
@@leobruce7196 depends how far away there are my station in Ayrshire there's 8 stations closer to us than the nearest wholetime ststion 😂
