How Much Does it Cost to Own a Ferrari? [Fuel For Thought]
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 лис 2016
- To be honest there is no straight forward answer, but here's my attempt at running over the costs involved in buying a supercar like a Ferrari FF.
There is a huge variety in the methods of funding a car, before you start looking at insurance, servicing, maintenance, and generally keeping it on the road. No one answer correctly covers all bases but I can try to give you an outline and slight understanding.
Thanks for watching, Tim

It's impossible to say precisely because circumstances vary completely from person to person, but here's some vague ideas of what's involved and what you may be looking at. Any more questions, let me know and I'll try to answer!
+Nathan A lot of this video is relevant to a car like a 12C too.
Shmee150 how much does it cost to own al of your cars in a year
Loves out the Netherlands
Depends on the values, impossible to say but the total goes up, not down, in the current market
Shmee150 When is the Aston coming ?
+Michael I think this covered everything in general, it wasn't specific to the FF.
To answer the question you have sort of avoided
50k deposit
13k monthly payments PA
1k insurance PA
3.5k fuel PA
1k tyres PA
1k brakes PA
1k misc parts and service items not included in warrantee PA
1k for parking, tax and cleaning etc PA
Assuming you are on a 3 year plan, the total cost would be 190,100, including the final balloon payment.
PCP means you won’t own the car until the final installment is paid.
So you are just renting for the moment.
115,100 is what you will pay to run the car for 3 years and sell it at the end.
This means it will still cost you 738 per week or 105 per day in the meantime
If you buy it outright, it will cost 1218 per week or 174 per day
So, happy motoring to you.
Madness
those figures are bullshit and wrong and its not 4yrs...finance always costs more and why you adding in running costs and wtf with those residuals
that start-stop system would drive me crazy
I agree, it is also a strain on the battery & on the engine.
Its nice in traffic. The car isn't vibrating away and saving you a couple of ££ in fuel.
You can turn it off
@Revilo Gaming if you have the money to get and maintain a ferrari you don't need start-stop to save a couple bucks on fuel lol
Do you know how to turn it on ?
With that grey seatbelt against the blue, you look like a crew member from the original star trek!
Tom Roberts OMG he does😂😂
Tom Roberts Its beige the same color as the interior not grey.
the interior is beige, but the belt still looks grey to my eyes.
@@tomroberts5805 Not grey.
I was thinking Dr McCoy the first second I saw him. Haha
Young person in your 20's, on 40k - for goodness sake, do not buy a supercar. Live below your means, understand disciplined saving and forget about trying to 'look rich'.
I think you'll find he said from experience that a used Aston V8 Vantage can be afforded on 40K a year. If you are a star in the making in sales, marketing, investing or business management, getting a noteworthy car such as an Aston, a Porsche or the like will certainly open doors for you and help you fake it til you make it.
Have you driven an Elise? It's way too impractical and uncomfortable to have as an only car, unlike an Aston or Porsche. Elise makes a good 5th car.
Don't think there are many people in their 20's earn 40k a year!
A doctor doesn't start to earn that pre-tax before he gets to registrar level, and that takes 7+ years from graduation!
Usually Daddies or Mummies money if you have these cars in your 20's.
Ow the irony!! ;)
40k in London means nothing !! If you dont have rich family or own house you can get max Audi. I've got just over 30k and my wife about 27k. We life in Yorkshire, get a mortgage (cottage house for 248k), one kid and crazy dog. Nothing big or fancy. Just normal life (every year 3 weeks holiday in Greece) and what I can get is 2010 Ford Focus. max !!
this is what a #peasant would say. Lower class trash
I'd disable that stop - start straight away, very bad for the car you're better off having it tick over for the short time you're stopped dude :(
In theory the car is supposed to control this and only stop it if it's fine to do so.
Yeah I know but I can never get my head around the extra wear on the battery, starter motor and other parts compared to a few drops of fuel haha. :)
To be honest, I'm not hugely fussed either way, I just let it do what it does!
That's all you need to do :)
That's why I could never own a car like that I'd want to make it do things my way and I'd probably break it haha.
Isn't the entire point of stop start, that it cuts emissions without damaging the engine from switching off and on again?
@Shmee150 You look like an english version of Tintin
Mirko ko true 😅
Hahahahaah XD
PMSL i can see it now
Billy Mays 👍🏼 ahhaha!
Shit. I can't un-see it. What have you done!? You monster!
Really liked this video. Loads of useful NUMBERS etc. FACTS and solid info. Thank you.
Shmee, this is another thing that sets you apart from other tubers, with exception of MrJWW, explaining other areas of the supercar experience, especially areas that most people skip over without fully understanding why they bought the car in the first place. They generally only talking about the performance but cars to me are more than just the Engineering and design that go into it. This video is very helpful and can inspire others to chase their dreams of owning one, also glad to see that you do pay close attention to what your views what answered. Please keep up the great work!
Thanks!
The mini will cast about 1 FF tyre to run LOL.

What an interesting video and a refreshing peek into the actual costs of running cars such as the ones you own. Great content as always Tim, thanks.
Such and informative video this is. Tim thank you so much for sharing your story and not just the basic servicing costs, etc...
Tim. I'm very happy you shared this information. It's not often you find someone willing to share the numbers or talk reality about investments such as luxury automobiles. Keep making awesome videos and enjoy the ride! Cheers
Running costs could vary so much! It's certainly in no situation cheap but people with a lack of mechanical sympathy or bad luck could run into a serious amount of money to maintain!
Tim this was your best video yet. You should do more in depth videos focusing on ownership info and quirks with all your different cars.
WHY does a Ferarri have auto start stop. Sounds ridiculous having a loud, nice-sounding car turning on and off. I'd be pulling fuses or reprogramming something.
I'm pretty sure you can just turn it off in settings
It's an option. You just don't get it and it wont auto stop.
Well, he did mention that he's getting below 10 mpg in city driving. Autostop in city driving isn't a bad idea perhaps. You have to weigh that sound with how often you want to be parked at the gas station.
In Germany it's compulsory for emissions reasons I believe. Other countries you have to have it on the car but you can switch it off with a button only to have it default to on when you restart the car. Here in NZ you can have a dealer legally disable it but this may change. You cannot disable it in Settings.
my thoughts exactly..
100 miles for £100 of petrol in the city!! Holy Sh....... Lol
Not fun one bit
If it wasn't worked out then 200 miles for £102 is 10mpg
Try running a Jensen Interceptor:-) I get about 8 but I measure it in smiles per miles.
I shall never be able to afford a car like this , but I really appreciate the ride along in yours ......
just £105 per day on a lease plan!!!!!
hell yeah dude 3k / month to ride a car! Makes it a lot more affordable!
Scott Thompson never say never anythings possible if you work towards it.
Dont worry scott... JUST $5k once investment.. can get you a brand new ferrari in just a year or short time ??
ask me how and i will show you live.................
Very informative Tim, glad you are trying to get this out to the masses so they have a clue :) As always, enjoy your cars and looking forward to seeing what else you do in the future.
For the first time Shmee talk very clearly about financing cars and credit. Much appreciated.
Using a 360 modena as an example and an approved Ferrari Dealer with 3000 miles a year:
1.) Service cost £2000 (12 month service)
2.) Odds and sods (for example - sometimes an oil seal might go and you wake to find a puddle of oil on floor) £3000
3.) Insurance fuel and road tax are very reasonable - I: £700 fully comp for a 34 year old, road tax £295 on a 04 plate and probably £2000 for 3000 miles of fuel
So thats a typical annual cost of £7995. This is assuming nothing MAJOR goes wrong which it shouldn't really - the 04 modena was pretty bullet proof with all the recall work done
Nice summary, thanks for posting
My pleasure. I know its a minefield for those looking to acquire a "cheap" Ferrari.
Not sure if he mentioned it in the video but if you purchase a new Ferrari such as a 488, F12, or California T, it's worth noting that all maintenance costs are covered for the first 7 years free of charge. While this stops your eyes from watering when you see the bottomline of a maintenance bill it also guarantees that your car will remain perfectly serviced for the majority of your ownership. And just to be clear this is a worldwide program. Not just the US or UK.
Yes, I most certainly mentioned it do not fear!
Not seen many of your videos Tim but by far my favourite. Very well structured, clear and informative. Worth mentioning no UK CGT on these as well which is a plus and what makes that uptick in value truly cash in hand.
probably the best, most realistic and rounded video on the cost of owning a super car I've come across. Not fluffy and very specific! Thank you
The start/stop of the FF is annoying. Can you disable that?
Gwent Champ yes it's only a fuse
Jesus Shmee, It doesnt take 15 Minutes to explain the costs to a Ferrari. This is why i rarely watch your videos because of your sleep worthy talking
Then don't watch?
You would think you would listen to your commenters because this seems to be a general consensus and all in all they are the ones whos giving you the views...
The comments on this specific video actually seem overwhelmingly positive, and in fact the like ratio is the strongest of any video in recent times. We certainly listen to commenters, the overall input is exceptionally valuable, and hence in this example we most certainly are doing so.
"the like ratio is the strongest of any video in recent times" im not just speaking on this video specifically, im speaking in general.
Majority of the comments are saying the same thing as you said. That is why people wanted to know why his views were falling at a big amount, and that seems to be one of the possible reasons. Nothing against shmee but if he can't adjust to what his viewers are suggesting, his future isn't looking good.
Great video, and a great insight. I really enjoy watching your videos, and now I have emigrated from the UK to Oz, I don't miss that weather lol. Keep them coming, I would love a C63 AMG to own, and you have given me some ideas. Thanks again.
Thank you Shmee for sharing some insights of owning a supercar. I really appreciate this!
Fantastic info Shmee things like this help a lot
Shmee, you're a down to earth lad. Thanks for the video.
Great and informative video, Tim. Thanks! I love the FF a lot. Looks and sounds so good!
im just glad he was honest, people make these vids then beat around the bush not saying how much they paid etc
good vid . Thanks Shmee
enjoying the cars, that is all that matters at the end, thanks for the vid :) and compliments for your beautiful ferrari FF
A very informative video - thanks Shmee :).
2 Major things, in the US at least they do offer extended warranties through Ferrari but they are more limited than the original warranty. If your in NY or the Northeast you can get wheel and tire protection for your car and it will help with those horrible potholes that can damage a wheel or tire. If you daily a a Ferrari or Maserati this will help you. 2ND about the warranty from my dealer the 4th and 5th year is like the original warranty but 6+ is powertrain warranty. For a 458 or California I will give you a example what can happen. My friend purchased a CPO California (2012) 3K miles. Purchased in 2013 with 2yr warranty and bought 1 year extended. He decided since everything was going well and servicing was free until the car has been 7 years old not to renew. 45 days out of warranty the transmission went at approximately 9.5K. Cost? 35K from FM LI and 30-32 from other dealerships. Now that the California's and 458's are coming down especially early California's in the US I recommend a warranty that covers the transmission as in my friends case the dealer said they have done rebuilds ($5-8K) but they generally don't last long. In his case when they did the rebuild and tested the car transmission went again so it needed a new transmission. Now the issue he has is the car went in for before transmission went completely in end of July as it was having issues and when you would restart the car they they would go away for a while so it seemed odd. This whole process took 3 months! He just got his car back end of October with just over 10K miles! Also front and rear bumper scratched in addition oil residue on carpets from mechanics. 500+ miles. The invoice showed came in and left with just over 10K miles! Stay away from Ferrari Maserati LI and Experience Auto Group. Richard head of service just said he's sorry about the damage and he would fix it. The car should have never been scratched while at the dealership at all. Luckily the front bumper at least had a clear bra. The rear is now going to fixed my a detailer. Always take pictures before being tour car in for service no matter what level of car! Happy to answer any questions.
its good that he is open and honest about his situation and how he acquired the car. Thanks for sharing
If you need to know how much it cost to own a Ferrari, then you shouldn't own a Ferrari.
TestedModz That‘s probably the dumbest thing I have ever heard
I'm a kid with a dream.
TestedModz Lmao small brain alert
Ok, well done. First time I hear someone talking actual numbers and being honest! I guess the majority of UA-cam-Car-Vloggers is financing their cars. Shmee seems to have his math sorted and plans according to the depriciation or increase in value of his cars/ future cars. Swapping cars like the limited editions that are coming with a profit allows to upgrade slowly but steadily. That's why he doesn't drive certain cars to Monaco or accross Europe as more mileage means higher depreciation. Thanks for that!
Salomondrin also spoke on this, for the record. It was a relatively short video but themed around "buying vs leasing"
I was exactly thinking that. Everyone else i've heard keep giving excuses and reasons why the price is "impossible" to figure out and yet throw no numbers out and at the end of their videos, the only thing you know is that you've wasted your time.
One of your better videos Tim. I really enjoyed hearing the facts!
I have learnt a lot from watching a few of your videos. I am now a subscriber. Thank you for your clearly communicated insight. Best regards. Gerad
Really informative. thanks Tim.
"even if it's a diesel BMW" hah that's me, an old E36 325 TDS
Watch most of your vids & am an active subscriber, but haven't had any of your videos in my recommended, I've been having to look you up. Wish UA-cam would acknowledge this problem and fix this already.
Really entertaining and insightful video Shmee, keep up the good work.
Seems like a nice chap, a pleasant watch.
Investment banker confirmed
I worked in finance before I left my job to do 'UA-cam'.
Shmee150 merchant banker?
Shmee150 could you give any advice in how to get into financing?
I was in investment consultancy. I think you probably have a pretty good idea of the style of subjects to be studying, then just work hard - really, really hard.
Shmee150 thank you 😊
Most informative video yet Shmee. About time someone in your position had the decency to put supercar ownership into pounds and pence! Not all of us are interested in what you earn but we do like to know what you spend on entertaining us!
Very informative Vlog mate, made a good watch 👍
Thanks for this information Shmee
and here I am thinking if I should spend the extra 200 usd for a gtx 1080 instead of a gtx 1070...
whats the rest of your build?
haha. i moved and i don't have my desktop anymore. i have to buy everything. even the monitor, mouse and keyboard :< it would cost me a fortune
comedyman112 if you need any help picking parts let me know. If money is an issue then a 1060 would be plenty
i'm the type of person that waits 3 months to get the 1080 instead of buying the 1060 now haha.
i was thinking about i5 6600k, asus z170(dunno what the letters after z170 mean), 16gb ddr4, cheapest gtx 1080 and a 600w psu. is bronze out of the question here?
If you don't plan on doing anything other then play games and watching things, then you can get the non-overclock-able version of the CPU.
Also what resolution are you going to be gaming at? GTX 1080 really is pretty much the card to get if you game at 2560x1440 or 3440x1440 and over kill for a single 1080p monitor.
I personally don't skimp out on the PSU just for the reason is because after awhile the PSU starts to buzz after awhile. Got a Platinum EVGA PSU its been going good for a year so far. (The buzzing noise can also come from the GPU for coil-whine, but haven't personally experience it though.)
IF you really want to for for the best experience for gaming go for 1070 and a G-Sync monitor.
Don't save up. Don't buy in parts, buy it all at once. It really alleviates the stress you'll have to do troubleshooting or DOA parts if you have any.
You'll end up spending around $1500 with all the peripherals you buy and the monitor.
But if you want a really good experience overall focus on the G-Sync monitor and the GPU.
thank you for all the videos you put out! something that would i like to see is a video on bringing car in for service.
Shmee150 thanks for sharing your experiences regarding ownership costs associated with your FF. It was very helpful understanding an owner's perspective. You are the ONLY UA-cam host that gives actual dollar/pound amounts it puts things in real terms!! Interesting I have to research the "PCP" balloon payment that you mentioned I am not familiar with that terminology with regards to cars. Overall very informative,
I've always found this question of "how much does it cost to own or run a certain type of luxury item" question funny. Way too many variables and factors to really accurately say how much. Also, unless you're a close acquaintance, I find that it's always a touchy subject to talk about someone's salary hence the luxury items they tend to pursue. I find that in the instance of seeing someone with a luxury car I will assume they've worked hard and have a good job for them to be able to afford said vehicle. Just enjoy it, that's the biggest compliment you can give someone.
Here in the USA you can deduct the initial cost, running costs, and depreciation of a car if you use it for generating income, like for example in UA-cam videos. Or amortize the cost over several years if you bought it outright. This can be used to reduce your taxable income. Sincerely, Donald J. Trump.
say i owned apartments and needed to visit tenants - would i be able to deduct taxes on that?
looking to buy a Ferrari f12 tdf.Fuel cost and maintenance are big factors when owning supercars.
This is very useful! Thank you! Keep doing these! I would actually suggest doing it with every new car, if you haven't done it yet
I own my 355 for seven years and the running costs are till now 42000 Euro - that's an average 6000 Euro a year ..(without fuel, that's peanuts...)
That's why I run a GT86
I love how it looks. :)
You mean a BRZ. Yeah. lol.
***** It's all the same thing. Except for the Scion, the FR-S is a goner.
Ronan B BRZ is for the Subaru brand, GT86 is for Toyota. both the same/similar car but different name under different brands.
Great choice of car.
the Ferrari FF is still one of the ugliest Ferrari's made...
Not the prettiest one, but the sound it makes is awesome!
...says the guy with a Vectra as his avatar...
its called an opinion Vectra VXR's have more road presence than most cars on the roads today
better than your vectra haha
Tom Forrest think I'd rather have the ff than a vectra
Very nice discussion. I've been doing similar mental gymnastics re: sports cars for about thirty years. It's amazing, yet true, that the rumination always leads to a decision to "just go for it!"
At 13:53 time something funny going on in the background lOl
LOL hahaha
POWEROFDREAMS509 I didn't hear it
hahahahahahaha
LOL REALLY, just some synthetic drugs :D
It will be relative more than the costs of a Dacia Duster, but as you quoted, it depends on the person himself. Proper engine warm up, fuel quality, weight of your right foot etc.
True! I didn't even talk about it depending how much you use your right foot, or visit track days for that matter.
For everything you can say something. The most important fact is: enjoy the drive every time!
And with that I agree, the worst thing is stretching to buy something you can't afford to enjoy.
I will get there some day! At this moment just enjoying my very loud Mini!
Automotive Mike I want to see your loud Mini 😱😱
I love this video. Not only is it super informative, but since there is a lot of (continuous) talking, I can listen to this to improve my english hahah
Amazing car, great vlog, keep up the good work one question ...what job do you do ?
Maybe is the start/stop system is hurting the battery, that could not be healthy to the engine neither
the battery should be prepared for the start stop system since it comes stock with the car
fabinho Ferrari wouldn't implement that function into the car if it was bad for the engine.
yes i know, but start and stop the engine many times in a short period of time cannot be good, maybe not in ferrari case, but in cheap cars with that option is not good in a long term right?
fabinho the car is engineered for this, so it shouldn't be an issue
13:50-14:05 is that a drug deal going on in the background? LOL
amagitsZxiopsc lmao.....he’s driving an FF so he must live in the ghetto
Lmao, someone is moving weight 😂😂😂
@@maidenrulz73 or they do drug deals in good neighborhoods in the UK... lol ...
Cool to still see you doing your thing. Paddy from back in the Testing days :)
Well I stumbled across this video, and really enjoyed it. Thanks for posting it.
What is your chosen profession?
How much does everyone want to know how much Shmee earns a year? 😂😂
The figure would be totally irrelevant anyway because it doesn't mean anything. A salary is only relevant to a person working for a company, when you run your own business the figures are massively skewed because you pump so much back into it; in my case the team and growth opportunities.
Shmee150 I know, I was joking it's not mine nor anyone else's busisness on your income. I personally take inspiration from you. I have some time being only 17 to build up a company(s) like yours.
You won't be able to get that, you don't know how many businesess he runs, what the profit is, what he gets out of it, how many investments he did ect. Shmee has become a brand, but that is not the only source. I'm not even interested in knowing how much he'd make, mind your own business first before whining about the income of someone else!
Edward Van. I wasn't whining at all, as I said I don't want to know how much he earns. It the age old question, someone with a nice car or cars makes people wonder what they do for a living etc. I have my plans in life with many different busisness options.
Alex MCBRIDE Great to hear, actually read the comment wrong... I thought you said who wants to know how much he earns. The grammar was a bit weird in the beginning...
at 13:27, look at the guy in the back who just stands up and watch it till 14:00. He gives the other guy something and walks off. Strangely all this happened when they hear a siren... You just caught a drug deal on video without knowing it?
Great spot!
damn youre right lol
How did u managed to pick that one up xD, while watching I was constantly distracted by Shmee's collar and the fact he is more staring at the camera than actually on the road.
Thank you so much for this video.. I was on the makret for a FF, but decided the Dodge Neon was the better car for me, being it's just as fast and equally as beauitful.
Very informative video Tim. Thank you for sharing.
Hey Tim When you get 1 million subs would you like a naughty pic?
ORO lmao
Would you like one too? :))))))
ORO Can I have one?
its a guy cuz unless you into that
@Sam Wilson yes you can :)
V12's don't like to be started and stopped so often
yes I know, cilynder 6 and 12 need more time to be lubed with oil pressure sice the oil pump is on the far side :) i know it from straighth 6 engines where cyl 6 is worn out due to city use , helped my amigo revising engines
AISHA MYRGTIM Well that escalated quickly
They have dry sump lubrication.
yes ok, so? what is the difference for the bearings on the far side of the pressure pump? unless the engine has 3 pressure pumps then there isn't any far side anymore
it does it by itself... just saying
This video is quite interesting because it deals with practical aspects of owning a car like this, which many people including me, do not or have not thought about.
Interesting numbers and facts. Thanks for sharing Tim
Great comprehensive guide Tim! New watch? :)
1989osu Yeah thought it was a Colt, Since when was Breitling considered a "chav" watch?
Actually I've had this watch for 11 years.
Shmee150 Well it looks great! :)
I also hate it when my cars go down value...
edit: people took me more seriously than I would've initially thought...I'm not wealthy enough to purchase a car for investment ;)
Man Of Curry Who loves when they do?
The people who buy it off you.
Then buy more carefully. Choose a popular car in a popular colour with popular options, buy at the end of the month or the end of financial year when the pressure is on salespeople to make the quota. Buy from an auction house like I did for my Merc. Learn to do your own maintenance and repairs and buy cars that need a few repairs were the parts are cheap but the labour is expensive, like oil leaks, transmission oil changes, and electrical niggles in the interior.
Arrrbol (YCS) I was speaking of present owners, not buyers. Logic dictated that.
and after all that, you're still down 10,000 after buying the car after 1 year, no car apricates with any proper value unless limited or VERY highly sort after
Thanks. I have just put a deposit down on my first super car after taking your advice.
Cant wait for delivery , That is the hard part
Saw you driving this on the M1 as you was passing Luton (maybe a week ago) and heading towards London in the evening. I was in my Daytona Audi A5 coupe 🙂
The Ferrari looks great in person. First I've seen of that particular model
Does the ff use large amounts of oil?? Just curious.
John Lambert V12
In other words... yes.
The people who are reading this-Have a Nice Day😀😀👌
You as well!
Good morning, Shmee. Thanks for the uploads. I am a subscriber and love all your videos. I do not know if this is a silly question. I would love to test drive a Ferrari. How do I go about doing that. Any suggestions, please?
Nice to hear you being more frank about the money side, Nice vid.
Hi my name is Parker and Im easily triggered
Easily Triggered no one cares
Mighty Onion
your comment triggered me
Easily Triggered 😂😂
+Easily Triggered Hi, my name is Davide, how may i trigger you today?
Just introducing yourself without my permission triggered me
Cudda made this a 2 second video by saying this:
"More than you can afford pal"
I think some people want an actual answer though so it's nicer to try and give one
Shmee150 lol, i hope u know what the quote is from :(
really really nice and clear video, thank you
Great insight, thanks for sharing. Though I noticed you didn't mention anything about "vehicle excise duty" aka road tax, could you elaborate more on this?
Tim, really?
An insurance for a really young person on a FF would be 5-10 grand? I'm 18. Was looking for an upgrade the other day. Checked 320d e92 - £10,000 even considering that I would store it in a garage ....a 2,0d....
All relative, I was suggesting into 20s, but yes I insured my V8 Vantage at 22 for under £1k.
Shmee150 per month or year ?
Shmee150 also have a family car - r age rover vogue 5.0. You don't event want to know what are the insurance prices on it for me. Could you please suggest how did you manage to get such a low quote? I would truly appreciate that. I also live in central London, have a closed garage and have no criminal record or any fines: speeding etc
+Atomrofl42 Insurance is by year here
+Andrey Started at 17, no convictions or claims, Pass+, numerous driver training courses, and gradually went up through my cars. I only had a Clio until my 20s.
We have 300% tax on every car in our country...😶😶
Zarif Ahmed where u from,singapore?
Zarif Ahmed what country.? coz im never buying a car there 🖓
in turkey; taxes %200 (above 2000cc any car). namely, one ferrari for you and 2 ferraries for government :(((((
Thats just wrong...mafia governments tch tch
+TS GC Bangladesh .. :(
A good round up of honest information. Thanks
Cheers for the insight Tim. With careful selection many sports cars (even at a much lower price point) can be run much cheaper than an average family car. Depreciation (or rather lack of it with the right choice) being the biggest 'cost'.
turn off auto stop start. for the love of god.
6:51 anyone see the R8?
Good eye, I saw that gas cap too lol
I'd like you to make a video of how you care about cars for example when you turn it on during the winter how long do you wait for it to warm up or after how many miles you start to push more etc..
Even at my age I have always loved super cars. The Ferrari FF has always been my dream car so knowing I will probably never own one I live vicariously through you and your adventures in the FF and all you other cars. Thanks!
I love the interior on your FF, but i thought you had a jeans ban in it?
No I've never done that, and in fact the seats aren't even slightly marked so I don't know if Topaz did something clever or if the suggestion that jeans die cream seats isn't true from the start!
Oh right, i thought you said something about not having jeans in it, in your collection video, but anyway, in all my years of valeting cars, i've never known jeans to stain seats :)
They normally do. Look at a car show all the seats are dirty. Even with a coating on the seats you need to use wipes.
Oh maybe I did, honestly it's a bit old now I don't really remember! To be honest, probably just a bit of a joke at the time as I'm not a big jeans wearer but yes no "damage" yet.
funbus he got the interior done up with leather protection and all that
1000 for brake pads and rotors is not expensive....my 7 Series costs 1460

I think he as under estimated the cost. I did a costing based on what he said, but the reality is that everything is way more expensive. You probably own your own BMW at least!
@shmee150 Could u make more of these kinda videos please, about financial stuff, different type of loans for cars etc, how to manage all the costs, advice on finding good deals. It is really interesting in my opinion... I'm sure there is a lot to learn from your previous experiences
Nice, thanks for that Tim. I just took delivery of an M2 on PCP with a hefty deposit ... your video confirmed my decision with regards to the money :-)
