I figured out what the ticking noise was on the cold start. The pipes behind the two passenger tips were 1/32" from each other and were tapping. I have adjusted them and no more of that. There is so much bass you couldn't hear it until you put your head right up to it, but the phone picked it up interestingly enough.
Man, .. I hope what you describing is related to that "inside" passenger side tailpipe and tip. Tip is pointing noticeably upward from it's mate and visually from what the driver's side pair looks like. I think you must have loosened the connection of that inside tailpipe at the muffler, and rotated the pipe downward to align it better and eliminate the tapping sound. Glad you are happy and found a way to still recommend them, as I don't think I could have. I also prefer adjustable tips over pre welded on fixed tips. The sound did sound very good though!
Hi, just want to say how much l enjoy your podcasts, plain talk, no loud crap music and the volume is just right, thanks for your podcasts, stay safe and enjoy your beautiful corvette.😎🇨🇦
Glad you got it together finally. Been there as well with my C5. Start a project it sits for a while and then you are trying to remember where all the bolts go.
What happened to the black exhaust tips you wanted? Would recommend that you invest in a battery powered 3/8 ratchet to remove all of those T 10 & T 15 screws for your next install. Great job on explaining the exhaust removal and install
This is a big video. Great job. You break things down better than anybody. Explaining the releases on all the electrical plugs on the rear of the car. Nobody does that. How you picked the mufflers was cool to. I agree they do sound good.
Thanks man! I always have an internal monologue thinking if I'm explaining too much or not enough. I think if I go into too much detail people will assume I think they are dumb.. but if I don't give enough people tend to get cranky. It's a balance I'm always trying to find. 👍🤙
@@VetOnVettes it’s the stupid clips that break. I’m serious I’ve seen at least 30 videos of them taking off the bumper. No one has ever shown the tabs on those F’d up things. Very appreciated.
How did you put the car on jack stands? I see that there are two jacking points in the rear, one on each side, but if you use a point to jack then you cant get a jack stand in there at the same time. It looks like you put the stands on the lower control arms - am I seeing that correctly? Thanks!
I used to support Holley but the removed all their long tube headers off the website because of the EPA all while kooks and American racing keep selling quality USA made headers.
It's crazy how subjective sounds are. I was really attracted to the AWE track especially at the price point & the tips, but I heard the setup in person at a Vette show and it turned me off. Again, trying to portray sound through a device, over the Internet and then through another device is very difficult. Driving home from work tonight I couldn't get over how good it sounds especially from the cabin. 🤷🏼♂️. I'll do drive by clips & cabin pulls in the next week or two.

Haha. Yup.
Thanks for the video. This made me decide to order the exhaust. Like the deep sound. Should have the exhaust next week. Great video!!!
I change my exhaust 2 times and i'm not a gear head. Good video.
Exhaust has a nice lug to it. Well done!
Thank you sir 👍🤙
Man! you do the major jobs! Looking good!
Did the Hooker Blackheart on my C5, the system without the muffler, and I really like it as it has a nice rumble to it.

Sounds gooooood, glad it finally worked out!
Same here. Thanks 👍🤙
Looks good sounds great! Not a fan of the square tips from the factory.
Did you get a check engine light?
Stagger looks best
How’s the sound/drone in V4 mode?

Correct. I jacked up both sides where Chevy recommends (using two jacks) then placed jack stands under the control arms. 🤙👍
@@VetOnVettes Awesome, thanks for the reply. Going to DIY an AWE Touring exhaust soon.
Can you please post clips of the sound, acceleration, etc.

This video I made has some great exhaust clips with this system 👍

I am sorry man you seem super cool that sounds horrible . I have a C8 with the AWE exhaust is so much better sounding .
