- This is just an experiment to find out if the JBL GO 3 is able play music from a USB drive by using a USB type C OTG adapter.

Content Suggestion: Connecting JBL Go 3 to Laptop/PC using Type-C connector or with Type-C to 3.5mm aux to see if it works even without Bluetooth.

Yeah you can but it will only charge it, nothing else happens.
You can just use it with Bluetooth

It wouldnt work cuz the aux stuff requires electricity but the speaker doesnt output any thru the port

Is there a small audio player that can power a USB drive and has a ⅛" aux out to plug into the speaker?
I'm sure their is but I haven't found one. Maybe someone reading this comment knows a good one.

Nothing happens, it will only charge it if you connect it to a laptop, I haven't tried the phone but I'm sure it doesn't work also.
I would like to know if it is possible to use a p2 cable on it using a cable converter from p2 to type-c with DAC

I think it was $4USD when I bought a year ago but prices are going down with newer models coming out.

My father is blind and still cannot use a SmartPhone. I am looking for a speaker that allows him to select his music by using buttons and of course downloading the music to USB and connect this USB to the speaker. ¿Does any one can help me please? Thanks
So far I haven't heard of any real JBL speaker that can play music from a USB drive.
Other speaker brands have what you're looking for.

For real JBL speakers, I haven't found one that reads USB drives (I don't think they exist).
The best one that I have tested and sounds good to me is the Tronsmart 100. Good bass, good treble (depending on what you chose in the Tronsmart app).

I learned that you can test the speaker to see if it provides voltage to the USB drive. This is great information that I'm thankful for. Not, everyone is tech savvy.
You should at least have pushed on the play button. 😉
the speaker was not outputting any voltage to power the usb drive so even if it tried to read the data nothing would happen
I think you should have tried it on a fake jbl go 3
