I would say that Gothel's defeat from Barbie as Rapunzel is one of the most satisfying defeating parts ever in the history of Barbie. Not only because of her various villainous acts, like abusing Rapunzel or locking her in the tower, but also she had distasteful hypocrisy to people lying to her when SHE was a liar all the time. It's a good thing she didn't mention Rapunzel's name to cast a wicked spell to double trap her, she mentioned "Never release your prisoner with a lying heart." Well, Gothel is the lying prisoner, so serves her right.
Was it better than Tangled?
@@colleenross8752 don't you dare?!
@@colleenross8752 Well, it depends on what you think about the character's karma. Tangled did include Gothel's defeat, or rather her death, but the difference between those two Gothels is that the Barbie one is more evil, wicked, cruel and tormenting throughout the film while the Tangled one seemed to be friendly, passionate throughout the film until in the ending where she is evil, mortal and manipulative. Or so I thought. Nonetheless, it all depends on how you feel about the character.
She freaking deserves it for abusing rapunzel and for destroying her art stuff, especially her magic brush.
Like when rapunzel tried to talk to her that they can start over and be friends, as a kid i was "are you serious?! She kidnapped you as a baby! You must make her pay!" And im glad she did after gothel refused rapunzel's offer. So yea, her defeat is satisfying.
Agreed @JesseNinja321
Villian defeats in the past Barbie movies were epic. No coincidence. Best one Rapunzel 2002 - so long ago...
That good
That one along with the princess and the pauper were my favorite movies as a kid before I got on my monster high phase I use to collect Barbies
But after I turned 16 I got sick of monster high dolls And got into anime and video games.
@@soralinklokidottirprincess937love how you started telling your life story lmao
Even if they were targeted towards kids, anyone of any age could watch older Barbie movies and enjoy them, now the most recent movies are literally just for 5 year old girls.
Absoulutly
Rowina's defeat was one of the best uno reverse cards in cinematic history, imagine getting your own evil wish granting sparkle dust blown back in your direction by your opponent with a FAN.
The fan she taught them to flap too XDD
@@GremlinZluvCheese OMG I just realized
Even worse, that spell would force her and the other guy to dance until they died from exaustion lol That's so cruel I feel almost bad for her, but well, she did it to herself. That would always bug me as a kid.
My thoughts were literally "haha uno reverse" 😂
Mulan moment hahaha
I miss when Barbie villain defeats were the result of karmic justice and the cleverness and bravery of the protagonists instead of a ridiculous joke
Especially with Wenlock. Annika didn’t manipulate or led his wives on. She told them that she could help them with the wand of light and for the possible first time, his wives don’t give into fear and instead gave Annika the wand and turned the tables on Wenlock
Villain is back
Just now realizing how many Barbie villains are defeated by having their own power/spell turned onto them.
Barbie got them the uno reverse card ngl.
whatever comes around
Yep
The Barbie’s villain is back
I’m surprised out of all the villains Jacqueline is the only one who ever apologized but I think the true villain of Barbie a Fashion Fairytale should be the guy in the Hotdog Suit
lol
Me too
How about the glimmer fairy that inexplicably altered a Limosine into a carriage without consent or a horse that couldve been sold off to rot in a farm? I dont think the hotdog guy was a villain. He didnt force them into this scenario. They agreed to sell off the fashion house in the first place
Didend the villain from the second mariposa movie (5:13 ) also apologized 😅
@@alinachrist6987 Oh yeah true
Queen Rowena from 12 dancing princesses is not just defeated, she's dead! She can't stop dancing because of a wish, can't drink or eat. Her and Desmond will DIE! That's dark! In the most recent movies, the villains slip and falls or are fired from their jobs; in the older films it's more dramatic! Gothel too is doomed! She can't get out of the tower, there's no windows or door AND her ferret can't give her tea or food. The sorceress will die 😮
Well, that's dark. As they say, never bite the hand that feeds you.
the ferret can, it was preparing food wearing a chef's hat. "coming mistress!"
And if Rowina doesn't die due to hunger or thirst first, it'll probably be due to exhaustion. Your body is known to fatigue to stop you from moving if you're exercising too much. The more you exercise, the more your muscles are sore and, most concerning, you're running low on oxygen. So she may literally just die suffocating from the little oxygen she's getting, since pretty much all of the oxygen is transporting to her muscles being used
I wonder what happens to her after her inevitable death: does the spell wear off,or will her skeleton continue dancing untill the end of time?
@@CozyGlow625 i would assume till death but that image of her skeleton dancing is creepy af
It's genius how Genevieve uses the skill Rowena thaught her against her for defeat. Same with Gothel being trapped in her own curse.
Yes, especially when Preminger has been betrayed by his own horse Herve. Gosh, his defeat is amazing and funny! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@iriskalitvinova4734 haha yes, I agree, looked so silly 🤣
Yes
For me, Laverna will remain the most iconic villan from Barbie ever.
3 times 💀
I get it. But also, Preminger.
Too be fair she deserves credit for being the first original Barbie movie villain due to the ones before being from adaptations😊
@@Rosegirl398 I don't know about that, I don't think The Prince And The Pauper had a villain. Preminger is definitely a Barbie invention.
@@unapologeticallylizzy Preminger is from an adaptation. Fairytopia is an original Barbie movie
My favorite Villain defeat would be The Mouse King from “Barbie In The Nutcracker” because nobody realized he was voiced by Tim Curry until now
Really i actually didnt know how shocking.
Same
I knew for a long time because his voice is unique and he's well-known in playing villains.
WHAT
QUE?!!!
My most-loved defeat is Lydia's downfall. An ironic end to a tremendously fun antagonist is a great defeat for me. Her death was also immensely scary for me when i was younger. Her facial expression and the way she screams as she's being petrified was incredibly uncomfortable.
And to spice it up, imagine two other heroes performing a jump kick on Lydia and her dragon after petrification? They both end up in "pieces". Oh, boy. Just like in the ending of MK: Shaolin Monks.
@@daniel_ding48that would have certainly been interesting, though perhaps a bit out of place. But i like that idea! It makes me wonder: what happened to Lydia after petrification? Did someone actually smash thier statues,or is it still in the castle? It's been a while since i saw the movie.
@CozyGlow625 can you tell me what's 24?
@@sharonyoung6880of course dear. That one is Barbie And The Secret Door. My third favorite movie!
Wow
Honestly with a bit more polish, I could've seen the older Barbie movies as successful theatrical films.
agree!!! the older version is way more better than the latest version, and the latest version is more on cartoon for me ngl
I agree! If the Care Bears got to have a movie in theaters, then Barbie should too! 😎👍
I could see Swan Lake or the 12 Dancing Princesses having the theatre treatment.
My favorite will always be Wenlock (tho I agree with Gothel in the first place). Not only because he wasn't just overpowered by the light wand, but because it could only be used with"good intentions" teaching Barbie that revenge is not all that matters. Also I loved the fact that he had to face consequences for his actions. He mistreated his wives and at the end they get back at him. The light wand only sort of neutralized Wenlock's magic, but at the end of the day,he dug his own grave
I agree with you, this one should definitely be higher in the ranking, also it was cut before the real defeat 😊
Best karma is a b**ch moment when one of his wives say his own words against him “I said double time.”
Mine is Lydia's...
Yep
I like it when Genevieve did her quick thinking when Duchess Rowena wished for her to dance forever... And the part when Gothel got trapped in the tower was just instant Karma and gave such a twist... 😂😂
Yep
"NEVER RELEASE YOUR PRISONER WITH A LYING HEART" it's so goooood
Yep
Princess Charm School villain was pure evil
Quite the nostalgia
Also I love how Number 4 was basically Barbie pulling a reverse uno card
😂😂😂😂😂 LMAOOOOO FRRRRRR
Barbie's recent villain is basically Mattel
Just so we are clear.
The voice actors from Barbie and the Nutcracker
Is none other than
Sango and Miroku from Inuyasha~
Voicing Barbie as Sango. And Miroku as the Nutcracker a.k.a the Prince~
Funny how it’s not their first time voicing together~
yup i was even surpise to hear the same voice when i watch inuyasha
I think Barbie/Sango is a big reason why I started watching inuyasha in the first place
why doyou keep adding ~
Omg I love Sango and miroku❤ glad to see them acting together once again rip kirby tho
YESSSSS OMGGGGGGG SO GLAD SOMEONE ELSE KNOWS THAT SERIES
5:51 I get the distinct impression that pile of hay wasn’t always meant to be a pile of hay.
Yeah. The guy’s reaction when he popped out of the hay pile doesn’t really help its case 😅
I love looking at the old villains were so much better than what we have now
the mouse king's defeat is the most satisifying of them all because it's hilarious seeing him smal when he tried turning clara as small as a mouse like him.
i like it.
Yeah, his plan backfired
It is a little disheartening his size allowed him to get a small victory at the end by swooping in last second and opening her locket
@@apurplekitkatBut since Eric gave her the locket back who’s to say that she can’t visit Parthenia whenever
True
7:47 Chrysalis hates rainbows.
Trixie, she loves rainbows.
Voiced by Kathleen Barr
You mean Laverna??
@@josepho.8317 yes, the VA.
Laverna is homophobic?
@@sugarplumsoda no just hates rainbows!
*cmon buddy don't do this*
Jacqueline’s defeat was kinda funny and a helping dose of instant karma for kidnapping the flairies
The models looked kinda f*cked up too when the glitter and shine wore off looking like they're melting
I was a weird kid I know
So true😂😂
@@georgspielberger9780I have to admit. I felt bad for the models. Having to deal with the smell and glitter melting off them.
@@saimawasti9598 I even imagined it feeling it burns a little cause it melts off
@@georgspielberger9780 yeah. Not to mention they were just doing their jobs, presenting Jacqueline's fashion designs to the audience.
Idk what 5 is but that ending alone makes me wanna see the movie.
Also idk about you but I feel that Mermadia deserves to be higher given the context. It was a long-term defeat where she was tricked scenes ago and no one found out until it was too late. Swapping out the berries?!?
And i LOVE most of the cult classics being in the top 10
That's Barbie in the Pink Shoes :)
Though I disagree with a few of the villains' placements (I personally think Gothel, Preminger, and Rowena should have had the top podium as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively), I wholeheartedly agree that Gothel is the best Barbie villain, and had the most satisfying, smartly laid out, and cruelly ironic fate. Trapped by her own deceitful heart and her own spell.
Why I prefer these three villains as opposed to many of the others is in no small part due to the realistic ways they carried out their plans. Rowena gets third for me because even with the magic of the mystical dancing world aiding her, the way she carried out the poisoning of her cousin (even going so far as to get rid of the antidote), usurping the throne, and actually cleverly using the magic to subtly strengthen her plans rather than abuse them outright, shows how careful she is. As a further boost, Desmond, as big a brute as he was, did show a few moments of intelligence. A shame he got sucked in to Rowena's ironic fate to dance forever.
For me, Gothel's defeat is iconic but Eris' and Lydia's are really great endings as well.
Lydia was damn tough. She is one of the few villains, who would not stop. Her ending is quite funny considering how she felt, that all prevailed and she would never be defeated. I love how she ended up as a statue. Karma turning to her given that she had turned the other Muses into statues.
Eris' ending is fantastic. She was litrrally turned into her worst nightmare.
Yep
Wow this gave me so many flashbacks and nostalgia seeing all these clips and realizing how many Barbies movies I watched back then that I may have forgotten until now!
I like the Defeats of Laverna (especially in Magic of the Rainbow), Henna and Eris
Me too... It was so epic not going to lie...
Yep. Henna's is iconic
A lot of the more recent Barbie movies just don’t hit the same way.. I remember some of my old favorites were the diamond castle, Rapunzel, swan lake, 12 dancing princesses, Barbie in a mermaid tale, Fairytopia, secret of the wings, and Mariposa
(Though in Mariposa I like the voice they gave her in the first one before they changed it back to the classic Barbie voice)
I love the Fairytopia trilogy, it took Laverna 3 movies to learn that she could never beat Elena. I want to mention Pink Shoes of how it inspired me when I was a kid, the fighting scene with the villain is so memorable to me because of the torture her friend endured being controlled. And Gothel's defeat is the most satisfying of all.
Yep
I love how the Barbie and the Pink Shoes defeat had NO context, unlike most of the others XD
Yep
Gothel defeat was a what goes around comes back around her own spell got her trapped so now she will suffer more than she made Rapunzel
Yep
@@mariarinta-rahko958 indeed
Laverna is truly a villain who never gives up LMAO
Fr girlie had so much determination
Ikr
Jacqueline is the first villain to apoligize and even willing to work with the heroes together. And she isn't doing this to trick or use them people do change and it's never too late to do the right thing
The last to middle does ended up as the "realistic kind" of defeat... There's nothing more refreshing than realization and them feeling in agony for not being about to manipulate them... 😂😂 and the middle to the end got KARMA, and some MAGICAL KARMA 😂😂😂
but of course, around the first ones or earlier movies, are so EPIC and quite THEATRICAL...
For me, Gothel's defeat is iconic but Iris' and Lydia's are really great endings as well.
Lydia was damn tough. She is one of the few villains, who would not stop. Her ending is quite funny considering how she felt, that all prevailed and she would never be defeated. I love how she ended up as a statue. Karma turning to her given that she had turned the other Muses into statues.
Iris' ending is fantastic. She was litrrally turned into her worst nightmare.
modern barbie movies are so low-budget now...the animation is terrible
The nostalgia from this video. 🥲
I don't think anyone ever talks about barbie thumbelina. I might be wrong, but I see it as the most forgotten barbie movie there is after barbie and the rockers. It's the first time i heard of it in YEARS and i see a lot of barbie related content. I'm not saying it's underrated, but it was always so nostalgic for me, and it remains rly nostalgic compared to the rest cause i see it WAY LESS than any other. I'm glad it's not completely forgotten even though it's a pretty weak movie.
Rowena's will always be one of the most satisfying ones but the one in Diamond castle still gives me chills when I watch it
Yep
Kinda sad Henna from Mariposa was ranked so low, her being carried off by the skezites was cool because she was ruling them through fear
Yep
Gothel's defeat is better than the Disney version
Agree
Laverna: I hate rainbows
LBGTQ+: Then shall let us be the greatest weapon against you
Laverna:*proceeds to get defeated by rainbows more than once*
Lgbtq doesn't own rainbows.
My favorite is a fairy secret, that's just because I've been watching it for a long time as I have the dvd 😂😂
Same!! and fashion fairytale is also up there for me
*Nostalgia.*
0:18 Is bro Cedrick long lost cousin?! (if u didn’t know Cedrick is from Sophia the First)
I like Sofia the First.
Also Cedric doesn't have a "K" in it
Also this princess's name is spelled with F not PH like I show you here. You misspelled her name
What are you trying to say here
I remember watching Princess Charm School back when I was 11 when it used to be on Netflix
My personal favorite of all these is the Mouse King's defeat from The Nutcracker. Clara came to Prince Eric's defense and stood up to the Mouse King, and right as the Mouse King was about to shrink her again, Eric used the last of his strength to stop him, saving her.
Maybe I'm just a sap for heroism and love stories in general, but... I love moments like that.
i wish i could rewatch the older barbie movies
What is preventing you from performing that? The movies are available on UA-cam and on other streaming services, plus on various sites.

Thank you For uploading barbie Villians defeats Classic stories
Lydias defeat was the most musical and second to fairytopias antagonist gay defeat ever
Would be nice if this video had a list.
I loved The Princess and The Pauper when I was little 😊😅
The old villain's defeats from the nutcracker until the horse tales gave me goosebumps (Welp, all but few but ya get me)
Honestly I got shivers when I listened to the Pegasus' soundtrack and I legit thought my eyes would water when the first old movie appeared. Call me nostalgic if you want, but new barbie movies could never compare to the original.
I was never fond of Rapunzel, it was never one of my favorites as a kid, but it deserves the spot it gots. While most of the defeats were brushed off as silly in a way, Gothel's defeat was just straight up dark and satisfying. Gothel is the only Barbie villain I can't recall of any funny moment or a joke in her scenes. She is treated like the monster she is and I give the props to Rapunzel for that. Although Rowina (Idk how to spell her name or from any of the villains lol) And Primenger are my favorites of all time, Werlock was badass, too- The 3 Musketeers aswell lol I just liked the plot overall. I feel like the old Barbie movies were a lot mature and I loved the slightly dark moments as a kid.
Gosh, I actually liked Lydia's demise, the part where she and Slyder turn to statues, and the muses, Dori and Phaedra were free, and the spell was broken...
EPIC RANKING
11:59 For some reason when there singing I can’t stop hearing “ferbreeze” now I’m rolling on the floor

Such a beautiful ending of that enemies❤.my fav one is the woman who fell in the dirt of pigs😂😂😂 and the bad guy who imprisoned by super hero Barbies inside the bullet proof❤.
Ariana
RIP Kirby Morrow, who voiced the Nutcracker. A real legend.
What if they made a movie where the villain wins against the typical perfect Barbie? Would be interesting
I know most of these are pretty much repetitive but I’ll still eat them up every time

The fact that I am 13 and still binge watching the older barbie movies is just…..😂
One is never to old for the Barbie movies lol, the older you get the more you actually understand them, or it just gets to the point of it being hilarious.
Bruh. You barely got out of the diapers.

I miss the old barbie movies like pony tale and diamond castle. They were the best. It's like the makers don't even know what do with themselves now. The passion is slowly leaving movie by movie. I can tell.
pretty much like Disney how ironic is that
What is number 2 called? I’ve seen it on TV on a certain day but I don’t remember the name of the movie…
Crystal castle I think
Barbie and The Diamond Castle
I feel like this just further shows the downfall of Barbie movies like the older ones are just so much better
My favorite was Dame Devin’s defeat because she got arrested by the royal guards. I felt it was better for her to go to jail, rather than having her dead/killed.
Yep
[12:19] (Whatever the film's called)
💯😶I didn't know that was a Barbie Movie😶💯
Barbie as rapunzel
@@generaldefenseyt6517 Ah Ok, thanks
Some evil witches don't take into account how their spells can backfire and be used against them like when rapunzel used the magic painting of the tower to send gothel to the into the tower she's trapped there forever since the spell she put on the tower never releases a Prisoner with a lying heart rapunzel never lied about not knowing the princes name she was telling the truth but gothel she lied about everything she kidnapped rapunzel and told her she was abandoned by her birth parents when she clearly kidnapped rapunzel out of spite for her father leaving her for another woman and nearly caused her fathers kingdom to go to war with a neighboring Kingdom as a result so she just screwed herself over when she cast the spell on the tower to never release a prisoner with a lying heart and ended up trapped in the tower forever
Eris defeat is probably the funniest one 😂
Totally agree with Gotel being number 1 but Laverna's defeats will always be so iconic. One of the best Barbie Villans period.
Did anyone else get scared when watching this part as a kid? 8:01
