I don't see any celebrities changing their lifestyle anytime soon. Just look at Taylor Swift.

    • @UmmYeahOk
      @UmmYeahOk 4 місяці тому +12

Change starts with you. What are you doing to help? Why should we care what celebrities do if we don’t do our own part? For example: What do you drive? It better not be a truck or SUV/CUV, and if it is, it better be electric, and better have or consider to have it for a very very long time. If not, you better have bought it used, and it be about 10 years old or older. Yeah, it pollutes, but at least you’re not contributing to the environmental impact of producing new vehicles (which is why I mentioned keeping an EV for a long time).
Government regulations and profit margins incentivized the automotive industry to push the truck and SUV market, essentially killing off physical cars. The consumer could have voted with their dollar, and not purchased these massive vehicles, and even helped the environment more by repairing older cars, especially with salvaged/remanufactured parts. The industry would have realized they would need to build actual cars or go out of business.

Melted away in 2002 after being a stable ice sheet for over 10,000 years. Heard of the Filchner-Ronnie Ice Shelf? Not for much longer. Its been disintegrating as one piece calves after another since 2010. In fact a portion as large as Rhode Island broke off and floated away to melt in the southern ocean. Heard of the Larsen C ice shelf. Also been disintegrating away. An area of 44,200 km of ice melting into the sea since 2016. Sorry but its happening there too. You just didn't know or realize that the heating of the atmosphere has impacts on all ice surfaces whether they be the Arctic, Antarctic, Greenland or those inland glaciers that have been so instrumental in maintaining the hydration of parts of the globe.

The real danger with climate change is that if the ocean currents change an ice age could take place in northern regions of the globe spreading all the way down to southern parts of the US and even Mexico. And this ice age would happen very quickly. Imagine all the migrants migrating back to their warmer countries. And most of the US citizens migrating there too. This would be a complete reversal of what is happening now.

How Much Heat Does a Car Engine Give Off?
    Answer....A significant amount!
Internal combustion engines are notoriously inefficient. Typically, only about 25-30% of the fuel's energy is converted into mechanical power (moving the car). The remaining 70-75% is lost as heat.
To give you a sense of scale, imagine the heat generated by an electric heater running constantly.
There are over 1BILLION cars on the planet and most are used every day....
Imagine the heat generated, especially on busy motorways etc.
Then there are aeroplanes plus lorries plus ships plus central heating plus air conditioning units etc, not to mention the heat generated by power stations and industrial units etc etc.
All this in just a few hundred years since the Industrial revolution.
Add in the pollution of CO2 added to our air we breath and is it no much wonder that we are living through climate change?
The balance of nature that was once preserved has gone forever.
We may live to see the result of mankind's endeavours sooner rather than later.

@@yellowyellowyellow7894that is the dumbest stupidest comment ever. One of the reasons why heat waves are killing people it's because they're caused by the polar jet stream breaking apart. They cause high pressure fronts to stall and they can actually wrap around high pressure fronts and compress them pushing temperatures up to 121 degrees Fahrenheit sometimes even higher. That's caused by the loss of the Arctic ice sheets causing the Arctic to warm faster and faster. The temperature gradient difference between the Arctic and the equator spins the polar jet streams around the circumference of the Earth play scared of the Polaris attractable jet stream push and pull on the low and high pressure front equalizing the energy balance between moisture and sun. That distributes the water cycle around the planet. But at the low pressure front stall, like hurricane Harvey did, it will disperse and drop and release all of its rain in one location causing excessive local flooding. A hurricane Harvey delivered 50 inches of rain which is a world record. But it also created drought downwind

You didn't live during the days when the sun was hidden by clouds of dust thrown up by the asteroid. You weren't attempting to adapt to massive forest fires and tsunami's that hit without warning suddenly and ferociously. You weren't there to enjoy rock showers as asteroid particles fell back to earth, peppering the ground like hail stones. Those animals that did live back then didn't survive because they were in the midst of the storm. However, in 2024 we are in the midst of a different storm called global heating and climate change. Perhaps we should pay more attention to the now rather than try to point out how wonderfully normal this has been in the over 4.6 billion years of this planet's history. Because in the now another perfectly normal climate event is occurring and its "fangs" are bearing down on our flesh.

This post is propaganda nonsense, designed to scare people into complying with the extreme left agenda.
