I appreciate you talking a bit about the new pink smoothing base, because other swatchers I've seen on here haven't really dwelled on it. But I will point out that it isn't actually the same formula as the original. I was very curious about this a few days ago, so I compared the ingredients listed on the HT site, and there are a lot of things missing from the new one, such as seed oils, mineral oil, aloe. I think this is a big part of why I enjoy the original smoothing base, because my nails are weak and tend to peel, and it seems to work very well for me in making my nails feel strong and making the manicure last for quite a while. I noticed that HT does not label the new pink one as "nourishing" like they do the original. Only "priming" now. So, they are honest about it, but these details might be important for someone with nails like mine. I'm a little bummed because I have a cool tone and would prefer a pale pink base over a yellowy ivory beigey one, especially if I'm planning to wear transparent jelly polish, but I understand if the nourishing components are not compatible with the pink pigment. Anyway, just thought I'd put that out there! Thanks for the video. Would appreciate an update on your pink base experience whenever you get more wear out of it 💅
@@paincreatesfame I don't know, in the media that I personally saw that was put out around this release, it's true that there wasn't any specific mention that the original and the pink are actually pretty different formulas. But as I said above the full ingredients lists are posted on site, and the marketing language on the new product page is not at all misleading. So, it's fair. But for anyone assuming that they're the same and purchasing without reading about it, they might be disappointed
I also saw a lot of complaints about the thickness but I feel like always when people complain about it I find they work quite fine for me and I don't have to use thinner

I would be interested to see how the pink smoothing base compares to Mooncat’s Getting Even nail primer. That’s my go to base/primer these days.
