What a fantastic repair! 👍 Not a cheap phone. 💰 I once slipped on conformal coating while probing a board (live) and blew up one of those little black smd's. Took me 2 weeks of online searching to figure out what it was. I had an identical working board and the component tested as a short on the good board & I was convinced it was a black cap that I had destroyed. Nope! It was an smd ferrite bead 😳- I had only thought they always looked like a diode. Another lesson learned. 🤓
@@SOSfixElectronics Interesting to know that. I thought low ohm filter resistors usually were labeled '0' ? Obviously not in this case, just goes to show ya.
I spent hours to find the component shorted in samsung S20 FE 5G, the short in vdd main, with low resistance to ground even with thermal camera hard to find I think lol
I have a note 20 ult I ordered replacement screen to fix my cracked screen because my phone still powered on screen came I tested it by hooking up LCD ribbon cable new screen worked 😊 I then tore down and mounted to new frame and to my surprise my phone has no power now even after re mounting to old frame I suspect a ribbon cable or battery issue but I'm not sure where to start I can't return this 300$ screen and I have no power please help??????

in the iphones they called them filter is smd low ohm resistor works as fuse
