    • @jennercustomtoys
      @jennercustomtoys  2 роки тому +1

      The first few times you use it it will shrink slightly until the water content balances out. That's why I make a new mold each time when casting.

    I want to make a 2 piece mold what release agent can I use so it won't keep sticking to itself?

    • @jennercustomtoys
      @jennercustomtoys  Рік тому

      I don't use any release agent for this compound. It will eventually make the compound wear out faster. I just make a new mold every time I use it. If it helps, put the mold in the refrigerator before removing your master. But don't put it in the fridge when you are casting. I hope that helps.

    • @razorproductions599
      @razorproductions599 Рік тому +1

      Well, I need to get the two parts apart! I pour the first pour and when set I remove all the clay, flip it and pour the second pour! But the gel sticks to itself and it bonds as a solid block. It is for a slot car to mold outside, and then the inside. Then I add the resin and squish the two pieces together. I could cut off any gel with release on it before reusing. What can I use so it won't stick to itself?

    • @jennercustomtoys
      @jennercustomtoys  Рік тому +1

      OK.. I get what you're saying now. When making your two part mold, spray just a little cooking spray on the compound but avoid getting it on the master copy. It's very difficult but it can be done. Otherwise you have to surgically cut the mold out from around your master... and that sucks. I hope that helps.@@razorproductions599
