Finally pulled the trigger on a supra last night gotta say I'm a little mad at myself i waited this long and listened to the hate online. it is an AWESOME sports car. Little small but fits like a glove. Cheers!
Technically you can't void the warranty. A basic bolt on mod like this wont void it. When you tune your car, there are aspects that dealerships probably wont cover because they will blame any issue on the tune. But they'd have to prove that the issue came up because you modified the car
I know camera doesn’t do the turbo spool justice but how’s the sound with the armaspeed compared to the MST intake? I have the MST one now but kept hearing good things about the armaspeed intake. Keep up the great vids!!! Gave me inspiration for my build
ua-cam.com/video/smaXu4MmDIA/v-deo.html Here is my tune video on my car. You should do a tune with a downpipe. If not you won't actually gain any power lol. And you'll just have a check engine light on
Yes the intake amplifies the turbo sounds. So you'll hear more induction noises, recirculation blow off sounds and turbo spooling. Check out our site to order one! brosfourrspeed.com/
Do you think the Supra should also come with a manual transmission taken from the Yaris GR? However, that's a 1.6 litre engine with just 3 cylinders, but they managed to extract 261 horsepower and 320Nm of torque. Four wheel drive only. AutoTopNL thinks so.
Especially considering that the Yaris GR isn’t sold in the United States, which is a huge shame for manual fans. 0-100 in the Yaris GR takes 5.5 seconds, in a car that weights 1,280 kilos. The Supra is heavier, so 0-100 time is likely to be affected. Is it possible for you to do a video on cars we don’t get in the US that we should get? Examples would be like the Toyota Yaris GR, Ford Puma, Peugeot 508, BMW X6 M50d, etc.
I have the exact same bolt on and tune setup as your current build, and I really don't know what to do about this extra torque, have you considered a wider tire or some sort of configuration to limit wheel spin and get the power down?
I’m with you on that. It does get kinda hard to drive the car with the super high torque number hitting so low. Wider tires would help. But I think a bigger turbo would solve it 100%. It’ll let the power come on later and be smoother.
Does the armaspeed unit replace the MST (or stock plastic) inlet tube? How much of a difference is there between MST and armaspeed? I was under the impression they were very similar in sound and performance
The Armaspeed kit replaces all of the stock intake. And it replaced all of my current one. This is definitely a tad louder since the carbon reverberates the sound different then aluminum
Armaspeed definitely replaces the second intake resonator plastic. It’s louder than the standard MST for this reason. Even with the MST pipe upgrade the Armaspeed is louder, runs cooler, and looks much cleaner.
The carbon fiber intake is much louder for sure! It costs more too. So I think they are both worth their price. Just depends if you can justify the cost
Most of my cars I've had a ceramic coating done. Don't have the dealer do it tho. They use garbage coating. Take it to a professional detail shop who will do a paint correction and a tire coating
@@808dms Oh gotcha. Really not necessary. Such an easy part to wipe down when it gets dusty. We carry it on our site! brosfourrspeed.com/parts-%26-merchandise/ols/products/armaspeed-carbon-fiber-intake-a90-supra-30

Nice! You'll love it! The haters just hate it doesnt have a 30 year old 2JZ lol
It's a fast car and a lot of fun!
I liked how you could see the filter on your old intake but can't go wrong with that carbon fiber.
Yeah that was a cool touch for suer with that kit. But I definitely love the addition to the carbon fiber! And its a tad louder ;)
Yeah that breather hose sucks to get off. I’m on my second one. The plastic is pretty brittle. Operator error was a factor as well.
Yeah I’m so scared to break that every time I’ve done this. So far haven’t broken it. But it has like no wiggle room and definitely feels cheap

Hi, Brian, I enjoyed watching you modifying your Toyota Supra. I get hyped when you do these things.
Cool man, glad you’re enjoying the content!! Supra is a fun car to modify!
Sounds awesome Brian. I'm a sucker for keeping a exterior clean and close to stock. Other than tint the lights. Maybe a nice rear diffuser.
I've been thinking about smoking out the side reflectors of going body color with them. Definitely want a spoiler soon!
I have a question:) I do the same thing as you do but i didnt know why i cant heard anything .
Not sure. This intake will make the turbo louder. If you can't hear the difference maybe you have hearing issues?
i love the intake bro its so nice

How about carbon fiber drive shaft?
Haven’t really thought of that. Not sure if that really saves much weight tho

They have everything. All linked in the description of the video ;)
Red strap braces would definitely make the car a lot cooler and maybe a carbon engine cover as well1
I really want to do an engine brace of some sorts. Heard a lot of good things with them saying the car handles much better!

Yeah thats a really cool car I think a lot of Americans would like. We get a sporty Corolla but its not fast lol
The Corolla we get in Great Britain is a 1.8 litre hybrid with only 122 horsepower, and a 1.2 litre which most people avoid.
Oh wow. We might have that one too. But I've only seen the N/A 4 cyl
Welll allright gonna have to get me this intake now, this brings out some nice turbo noises!
haha nice! Carbon intake sounded awesome!
"Whale tail" they called those. Bringing maximum intake into the system. Sweet as can be! DEFINITELY Turbo upgrade leave C8's in the dust-

305s on the rear and some spacers do pretty well

Would you say this is worth it and alot louder compared to the mst intake paired with the longer mst inlet
It makes a different sound for sure! And looks stunning with all the carbon! I really like it.
Lol sorry to bother but just sound wise is it louder
You need 305's or 315's in the rear.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed I agree, it was your video that made me get the MST 🤣

Did you have any problems getting the filter to stay on? Mine just slips off and falls off.
Nope. Just have to wiggle it a bit to be around the intake tube. And then just tighten the metal clamps down a bit
Is exhaust stock in this video or any mods as far as bolt ons etc?
How did you get that clear lid??? I been wanting to do that for so long
