    In the States what these former police officers are doing is illegal and if any of their former comrades are helping them with information it is doubly illegal. If you are furthering the interests of a foreign government you need to be registered as an agent of that foreign government so that the State Department can make sure that you are not harming people's rights in situ. I'm surprised that Australia doesn't have similar laws in place.

    If you want to know where our unstoppable property boom has come from, look no further than the content of this video. To think that our successive governments were not in on this knowledge is foolhardy. Our current government and previous governments have actively sought to grease the path for Chinese money to flow into Australia and into our property market, with full knowledge that a percentage of that money is of criminal origin. The issue for the current federal government is that the inflation of the property market "IS" the Australian economy, so the brakes have been disconnected on prudential management of the property market.

      lets not forget huge western private equity funds piling into the mess as well. They should be held just as accountable in the seemingly never stopping game of turning a basic human necessity into the investment vehicle that keeps the music playing in the world of high finance; be it securing a never ending stream of debt to securitize, even if it comes at the price of ruining some poor, working class fella’s life to harvest their thin-file-BS-FICO-Score with some predatory balloon mortgage, or just as a plain investment class to hoard like Blackrock is doing as we speak. Fun fact, they, too, are having some internal turmoil at the moment. Wanna stop for a sec and think what that may mean for economies around the world? when did it become normal that global economies are at risk because a Private Equity firm can’t behave? It’s nuts all round.

    • @historyrepeatscubed726
      @historyrepeatscubed726 3 роки тому

      Good to see someone who totally gets it. By tying up housing (leaving it empty) it causes a restriction of supply which, when the demand is constant or increasing, causes the price to rise through extra competition for the limited number of properties for sale.
      That, and no doubt, most of those empty properties are let out to fake tenants who pay 'real' rent every month to the trustee holding company (owner).
      But the rent is in fact the proceeds of crime which has been laundered clean through our convenient, nationwide network of money-laundering casinos, kindly brought to you by your local cartel of corrupt state politicians in conjunction with the Pakker family estate.

If I robbed a bank and then invested that in property, the feds could seize that asset. If I made millions from drugs, then got caught, all my assets could be seized. That’s for sure so I’m guessing a company formed by dirty money would be the same, no?

    • @abrahambaraka2924
      @abrahambaraka2924 4 роки тому +1

      @@fidget2020 yes it would but that depends on the jurisdiction. You would have to look at Australia's penal code. [assuming its universal to the entire federation] The proceeds of fraud and corruption should no longer be enjoyed a convicted defendant. This is a concept from the doctrine of equity which is used in most common law jurisdictions and Australia is one. A company formed to clean the proceeds of crime would be illegal and once its illegality is proven, an equitable remedy would be to seize its assets and repatriate money back to whom it was stolen. I am sure there are many cases from common law jurisdictions to prove this. You can check All England Law Reports for some. I am a second year law student just in case you are wondering.

    I don't get it. They have the names of the two directors in China, and even know how to contact them. If the money was taken out of China illegally, how come the cops in China don't just show up at their homes and haul them off to jail, and force them to resign from the company? If the money was not taken out illegally, what are they doing trying to seize the money and "repatriate" it to who knows who? Makes me think that their contact in China isn't really the government of China. It's a corrupt official who is in fact trying to steal the money for himself. The real government of China (the one who controls the cops and courts over there) don't know anything about this stuff. ABC should have done more to verify that these guys are actually working for China.

As in CANADA the Chinese buy property worth Millions(Houses in areas like WHITE ROCK, VANCOUVER) Then these HOUSES sit empty nearly all year round. Theres so many HOUSES there in which no one lives full time. Makes you think how someone can afford a property of $4million and leave it to sit empty for majority of the year. You might see someone come and stay there for about a week and that's it then it sits empty again for another year.

      The houses may sit empty, but most of them have fake tenants paying 'real' rent each month which is sourced from casino-laundered black money. Once it gets paid as rent, the owner can justifiably operate a property management company and pay taxes to look all legitimate and shit.
      Owning so many properties, but leaving them empty, gives an organisation the ability to manipulate the housing and rental prices in an area, a state, or a country. They can withold properties to shorten up supply to force prices up - and they can also release properties to flood the market and drive prices down too. It's a practice known as 'land banking'.
      And YES, the same thing goes on in Australia on a GRAND SCALE.

      The foundation of the FBI’s international program is the International Operations Division and the legal attaché, or “legat,” each of whom is the Director’s personal representative in the foreign country in which he/she resides or for which he/she has regional responsibilities. FBI personnel abroad serve under the authority of the Department of State, chief of mission at United States embassies, at the pleasure of ambassadors and host country governments. Their core mission is to establish and maintain liaison with principal law enforcement and security services in designated foreign countries. This liaison enables the FBI to effectively and expeditiously conduct its responsibilities in combating international terrorism, organized crime, cyber crime, and general criminal matters. In particular, legat liaison activities are essential to the successful fulfillment overseas of the FBI’s lead federal law enforcement mission to prevent terrorist attacks against citizens and interests of the United States. Liaison is carried out in accordance with executive orders, statutes, treaties, Attorney General Guidelines, FBI policies, and interagency agreements. The legal attaché program provides for a prompt and continuous exchange of information with foreign law enforcement and security agencies and coordination with U.S. federal law enforcement agencies that have jurisdiction over the matters under investigation. Our foreign-based personnel also assist foreign agencies with requests for investigative assistance in the U.S. to encourage reciprocal assistance in counterterrorism, criminal, and other investigative matters.

    On the surface this seems unsavory having Australians act as agents for the CCP. Let's hold our nose for a minute and think about it.
    1) The money leaving China was earned legally or illegally however it was illegal to take the money out of China. Those who are taking millions out of China probably have connections to the CCP that allowed them to earn it in the first place and are potentially people of influence. Chinese put up with the CCP because generally their life has improved over the years and greed is their religion. The CCP negatively impacting their pocketbooks and taking away fake freedoms may be the fastest way to political change.
    2) The money may be from corrupt CCP officials. Taking away the money incentive to be a part of an authoritarian system will further erode CCP support. Frankly I'm surprised anyone in the CCP is pushing for money to be returned since I think they are all corrupt and are getting their money out too.
    3) If I owned a $10 M property in Australia I'd gladly sell it to Chinese citizens for $15M. I'd also gladly cooperate with Chinese government to help pursue the buyers after notifying them of the transaction. In order to claw back the money the property would need to be sold. I'd gladly buy it back for $10M and sell it again to Chinese citizens for $15M. This helps balance out whatever shenanigans China is doing to create trade imbalances.
