Chandler Frosh 44 - Williams Field Frosh 33 Gilbert Summer League June 18, 2024

What a roller coaster ride June has been for a freshmen team. I remember April 29th, the first time looking at the collection of talent thinking we have the makings to be a very good freshmen team with some players I can develop for Varsity down the road. Then after a few practices where guys weren't joking around, not being focused and making a ton of mistakes, I was like oh boy.
We had just played and lost to Williams Field 3 days prior, they got up 20 in the first half but we showed some serious resolve and heart to get back in the game and eventually take the lead 44-43 with less than a minute to play. 3 unforced turnover caused us to lose that game but it was still very fresh in our minds when we played tonight.
First half was nip and tuck and we went into halftime down 16-14 but inspite of losing I was feeling really good about our chances.
Second half we didn't give up any offensive rebounds and we got fast break in gear. I don't think Williams Field scored a single point the last 7 minutes of the game. Really good win for us.
