your feelings do matter! you even called calm a vibe, which is correct 👍 Fun video! Don’t use sharp and flat for 1\14, though! An up and down is better for consistency’s sake.
don't know why people are suddenly taking notice of this video lol. also yeah I should use that notation; I kinda just bodged my own notation doing microtonal stuff
If you decide to do anpther one of these, I think it would be interesting if you went through all the intervals like a dyadic IPA chart. You could even call it the consonance inventory!
the major scale is 7 notes. 7edo is pretty good for that. when i play 7edo, i usually want in-between notes. 14edo does a good jop scratching that itch. therefore very good and harmony-y.
I'm a little confused by the notation. If there are 14 divisions of the octave then what do you do once you get past the twelfth note? I'm only familiar with labelling the notes by number sequentially not with the conventional lettered notation....
on the stave there are 7 spaces for notes to go in an octave. normally in 12edo we'd add accidentals to get to 12 (and since 12 is 2 less than 14, we have two notes that when putting a sharp on them give a non-accidental note, those are F♯ = G, and B♯ = C). in 14 though, I map those 7 spaces to the 7edo scale, and then use the accidentals to fill in the remaining 7 notes (and there's no weird places where making a note sharp just gives another non-sharp note).
ranking scales is kind of subjective, you are free to disagree with me. I don't really see how calm isn't a "vibe" tho, that word is not really well-defined, and I'm using it in an informal sense anyway. If we are going to get pedantic tho, vibe is defined as "An atmosphere or aura felt to belong to a person, place or thing." (wiktionary) , and I think things can emanate a calm atmosphere.

@@thezipcreatorhaha idk either. Trying to remember how I found it?
Also I love that you have a cursed conlang entry; I love that contest
I like this video and hope to see more videos like it where you also play the scale you talk about 😊

I kinda forgot about this series, maybe I'll do a new one at some point

I really wish you had played all the scales you mentioned.
