What a unique reaction! I have seen this beautiful performance as a fan since it was first uploaded. I was not just hanging on her everyword I was hanging on yours as well. Your explanation of her sound production was easily understandable! Most importantly, I loved that you emphasized that her incredible technique did not distract from the emotional experience when all that beauty flows out of her mouth! I'm so glad a friend recommended this video. I would love to feature your reaction on my Twitter. Morissette has many admirers and fans, without a doubt, I know they would be as caught up in your words as I was. I liked and subbed immediately! Thank you for featuring her on your channel!
Hi Terri! I see a new reactor of Mori's and i look for you. :) Totally agree with you. I loved how she made me understand her analysis even while using the terms "sibilance" and "inhalare la voce" (new terms for me and am not even sure if I got them right :)).
Hey terri bora. I always see you everywhere i always reading ur comment. What i mean is i was surprise that you really spent alot of your time just to recognize pinoy singers . btw keep commenting hehe I'm just shocked where ever i go i always see yoi
As a music producer, I thank you Madeleine for making this content and sharing those knowledge for free here on youtube. This vocal coach knows exactly what she's talking about. I bet she's a smart, experienced and a great vocal coach. Those things that she told you here is very clear and easy to understand yet it's so essential to be applied when you're songwriting and especially recording your track. The subtle detail and gentle touch of your vocal is very necessary but it's often forgotten. Not only for ballad or pop-ballad songs, it really matters to every genre. A singer is a storyteller, a performer, an influencer, convince the audience with every word you sang. put a delicate emotion and attitude into it. make us listener believe everything you want to tell, make us feel what you want us to feel. it's hard to apply that to every performance, but that's a key thing when you're recording. You are alone in the vocal booth, express yourself, stay focus and relax, us producer or the recording engineer isn't there to judge or harm you, we're there to help your voice, you feeling to be heard, to help you show the best of you. Practice all the thing she said in this video, then you'll find out how useful it is later. Talent maybe enough to make you famous, but a great technique will help you last longer. It 100% will help you a lot to shape your voice and help you be able to express the idea the sound in your head through your mouth. respect for you Madeleine Harvey, thank you for your service. Keep doing what you're doing.
Welcome to the world of Morissette Amon where everyone gets goosebumps and jaws drop every time she sings, dazed and confused after every song is normal in this world. Low note, High notes, Whistle notes, Voice breaks, Growls, Riffs and Runs and every kind of voice technique are present and accounted for. Where Autotune and Lip-sync were denied entry and got turned back but pure live natural talent was accepted entry without any restriction. Where Beauty, Pure Emotions are expressed in every song. Humbleness in her heart resides here. What? How? WOW! OMG! Amazing, Effortless, I am Speechless and what did I just witness? are openly declared. If you enjoyed this song be prepared for more and see how versatile she can be you won’t be disappointed
I’ve watched countless vocal coaches react to Mori, and you are by far the best. I’m not a singer, but I was doing those yawning exercises along with you. If I was a singer, I would want you as my coach. I found your insights fascinating.
Madeleine Harvey you are very knowledgeable about the human voice. Best analysis I have heard in my 3 years of following Morissette. In a way that I can understand.
i saw morissette, i like 👍 "inhalare la voce" and "sibilance" - I learned a new vocal terminology in this video reaction that i never heard before. she also teach us for free while reacting. Sorry for my english. new sub from ph 😁 mabuhay!
Thanks Coach Madeleine for featuring our girl, Morissette, on your channel. I learned new things from watching your analysis. Pls do more of Morissette's performances like Never Enough, Stone Cold, Akin Ka Na Lang (turn on captions)
Okay, I've seen a LOT of Vocal Coach reaction videos by dozens of coaches posting on UA-cam. This is the best one by miles. So much more specific, so much more interactive, so much better paced, and credible.
WOW, you are definitely one of the most knowledgeable vocal coaches that I heard on here. I was even doing that yawn and pause exercise, haha. I learned new verbiage that other vocal coaches have not mentioned. Great analysis! It's my favorite version as well. I would love to hear your take on her Never Enough rendition on the Wish Bus.
Ms. madeleine, morisette is such a great singer. If you will listen to every song that she sings probably you will become addictive and anyway she can sing any kind of song or let's say genre.
I rarely make comments on youtube since forever. But your keen observations of her performance and how she make and hit those beautiful notes are just remarkable. Im a new fan and subscribed instantly.
50% of the time i dont understand the jargon, the other half I'm just mesmerized of all the descriptive technicalities of how everything works in conjuction with each other to produce a beautiful singing voice. Subbed for sure! 😁
I couldn't click on this fast enough, love your feedback and love Morissete; my favorite singer in the world right now. You nail that she's technically impressive while delivering an emotional performance naturally and believably. More Mori! 😉. There are so many incredible performances from her.
Thank you so much for taking the time to listen and react to Morissette, my favorite singer of all time. This is one of the best analyses on here that I've ever seen! Would you please consider reacting to her performance of Akin Ka Na Lang from the Wish Bus? There are so many wonderful performances of hers, but a lot of people consider that one her signature song/performance. 🙂 Again, thank you!
I loved how I learned new terminology, and really appreciate your profound poeticism... “She was committed to experiencing herself.” I had to write that down. Love for you woman, and those moments I saw you get chills were the same ones I got chills the first time I watched this too. Thank you 🙏🏻

Wow ! Amazing reaction! This is the first time that somebody can explain the style of morissette's voice in a clear , concise and her ability to use in " layman's terms " It only means that under the given circumstances , she find the best way to communicate to her listener with passion and keep abreast of the current style of expression with energy , vision , and she stamped with her specific personal style to be memorable. 💚🙅🌈 New sub 🙌😘
I so love your reaction ..... what got me the most was when you said ..... its emotion and her connection to the song ..... i guess thats why i so love morissette its because of the emotional experience that evokes within me ..... cheers
Morissette is one of the best singers the Philippines and Asia have ever produced. Thank you for featuring her on your channel. Please check her rendition of Never Enough and Akin Ka Na Lang on radio station Wish 107.5Fm. Both are stunning. Subbed and best wishes to you.
So far , you're the BEST Vocal Coach I've ever heard as of 10 / 9 / 2019. I respect you , great analysis and your PRETTY GORGEOUS too . New sub here ( FROM - VA, USA )

Thank you so much for bringing her to your channel. Please could you react to her original song Akin ka na Lang (please be mine) on Wish Bus. it’s in her native language so I suggest to switch on subtitle....its pretty amazing. It’s been a talking point of so many vocal coach.
"Inhalare la varoce and sibilance" our words for today! I've encountered this word inhalare la varoce when I was studying music🎶. I love your reaction and I love❤ MORI always!
Out of all the reactors I've watched so far, she is definitely the best. Not only does she reacts to mori's cover, but also teaches us dynamics and techniques. Very informative and entertaining, I liked and subscribed! Hopefully seeing more of reaction videos of mori's covers from you madaam!
Wow! You're so beautiful the way you teach us. Hope more blogs from you with the rest of morisette songs! Thanks for your bright words and amazing terms of music. Thumbs up!
Please react to her original song “Akin Ka Na Lang” also performed live on the Wish 107.5 Bus. Please turn on closed caption to see the subtitles in English. It’s a vocal showcase like this one and a good video to teach technique.
It think this is by far the best reaction video of Morisette’s version of Rise Up. Not only did you react bu you lectured as well. I’m not a singer but I learned some new technical singing terms from you. Thanks!!! Looking forward for more reaction videos of Morisette’s

Found an ad right at the end of the video. It was from Coke Studio Philippines, where Morissette Amon (Asia's Phoenix) I believe was covering the song "Papara" by St. Wolf. And I couldn't help but finish the ad and enjoy her performance.
First time to hear this kind of analysis. A real vocal coach! Thank you for making us journey through the world of music. Love the style of Morissette Amon! Great singer!
I personally prefer this and Never Enough, I just think they are better songs. That said, she shows off some things in Akin Ka Na Lang that you don't get to see in most songs (because it's her song, so it's tailored to her abilities).
Here's a trivia for you and your viewers who are new to Morissette: Legendary singer and songwriter Rhett Lawrence who played an instumental role in the rise to fame of Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Kelly Clarkson, Blackeyed Peas and many Grammy winners/ Hall Of Famers discovered Morissette's videos on youtube. Absolutely impressed, Rhett took a 20hr flight halfway across the globe just to see her live in concert and discuss a collaboration album. They are now working on one under international giant music label Capitol Records with another legend, Quincy Jones, as project advisor. Rhett described Morissette's talent as "unparalleled" and said she is "definitely future legend". She is so amazing such that she has become a favorite of many many vocal coaches and reactors worldwide- generating for such channels tons of subs and tens of millions of views, with a number of channels getting upwards of a million views on a single reaction video. Her originals and covers are now hugely popular. Many of her covers like Secret Love Song (114M), Against All Odds (63M), Never Enough (19M), Your Are The Reason (44M) and others have become the top viewed covers of those songs on social media. Other than Rhett, she has awed the likes of Jessie J, members of Little Mix, Jason Derulo, David Foster, Michael Bolton (with whom she is co-hosting an upcoming talent show) and many other internationl music celebrities and those from her country as well. Her fans are in the millions and growing exponentially worldwide- making her the most watched singer from the Philippines. What is amazing is that she accomplished the feat despite the fact that social media remains mainly as her international platform and she did it without the backing of any big international label.
This is the only vocal coach I agree with when she describes morissette’s voice during the introduction.
And she's very technical... learning a lot from her analysis as well :)

Morissette Amon aka “Asia’s Phoenix” from the PHILIPPINES (Lyric Soprano) is known for a vocal range that spans 5 octaves and 2notes.
Currently she has 5.2 octaves, and an extensive, connected range, allowing her to transition into other registers smoothly.
Capable of riffs and runs throughout the voice and holding notes without wavering, her skills suggests good breath control, having reverb, vocal fry, melisma, Chromatic Scale, Crescendos, Amazing Vibrato, Crisp Dynamics and overall technique.
Known for her “SQUEAKS” and international VOCAL BREAKS, applies them both when jumping between octaves for artistic effect.
