What a unique reaction! I have seen this beautiful performance as a fan since it was first uploaded. I was not just hanging on her everyword I was hanging on yours as well. Your explanation of her sound production was easily understandable! Most importantly, I loved that you emphasized that her incredible technique did not distract from the emotional experience when all that beauty flows out of her mouth! I'm so glad a friend recommended this video. I would love to feature your reaction on my Twitter. Morissette has many admirers and fans, without a doubt, I know they would be as caught up in your words as I was. I liked and subbed immediately! Thank you for featuring her on your channel!

Hi Terri! I see a new reactor of Mori's and i look for you. :) Totally agree with you. I loved how she made me understand her analysis even while using the terms "sibilance" and "inhalare la voce" (new terms for me and am not even sure if I got them right :)).

As a music producer, I thank you Madeleine for making this content and sharing those knowledge for free here on youtube. This vocal coach knows exactly what she's talking about. I bet she's a smart, experienced and a great vocal coach. Those things that she told you here is very clear and easy to understand yet it's so essential to be applied when you're songwriting and especially recording your track. The subtle detail and gentle touch of your vocal is very necessary but it's often forgotten. Not only for ballad or pop-ballad songs, it really matters to every genre. A singer is a storyteller, a performer, an influencer, convince the audience with every word you sang. put a delicate emotion and attitude into it. make us listener believe everything you want to tell, make us feel what you want us to feel. it's hard to apply that to every performance, but that's a key thing when you're recording. You are alone in the vocal booth, express yourself, stay focus and relax, us producer or the recording engineer isn't there to judge or harm you, we're there to help your voice, you feeling to be heard, to help you show the best of you. Practice all the thing she said in this video, then you'll find out how useful it is later. Talent maybe enough to make you famous, but a great technique will help you last longer. It 100% will help you a lot to shape your voice and help you be able to express the idea the sound in your head through your mouth. respect for you Madeleine Harvey, thank you for your service. Keep doing what you're doing.

Welcome to the world of Morissette Amon where everyone gets goosebumps and jaws drop every time she sings, dazed and confused after every song is normal in this world. Low note, High notes, Whistle notes, Voice breaks, Growls, Riffs and Runs and every kind of voice technique are present and accounted for. Where Autotune and Lip-sync were denied entry and got turned back but pure live natural talent was accepted entry without any restriction. Where Beauty, Pure Emotions are expressed in every song. Humbleness in her heart resides here. What? How? WOW! OMG! Amazing, Effortless, I am Speechless and what did I just witness? are openly declared. If you enjoyed this song be prepared for more and see how versatile she can be you won’t be disappointed

This is the first time that somebody can explain the style of morissette's voice in a clear , concise and her ability to use in " layman's terms " It only means that under the given circumstances , she find the best way to communicate to her listener with passion and keep abreast of the current style of expression with energy , vision , and she stamped with her specific personal style to be memorable. 💚🙅🌈

Morissette Amon aka “Asia’s Phoenix” from the PHILIPPINES (Lyric Soprano) is known for a vocal range that spans 5 octaves and 2notes.
Currently she has 5.2 octaves, and an extensive, connected range, allowing her to transition into other registers smoothly.
Capable of riffs and runs throughout the voice and holding notes without wavering, her skills suggests good breath control, having reverb, vocal fry, melisma, Chromatic Scale, Crescendos, Amazing Vibrato, Crisp Dynamics and overall technique.
Known for her “SQUEAKS” and international VOCAL BREAKS, applies them both when jumping between octaves for artistic effect.
*That whistle note in “Akin Ka Na Lang” Live on Wish Bus, she goes as high as A6 along with her 15secs long riffs and run, and ended with E6 🔥🔥🔥
*That whistle note in “Best of My Love/Emotions” in Asia Song Festival 2017, damn she hits C7 there 😱 along with A7’s, E7’s and G7’s ... 🔥🔥🔥
*That 14secs EXTENDED WHISTLE NOTE in “I Wanna Know What Love Is” on MYX LIVE, started from lowest note D#3 then goes as high as D7 and that is almost (4 octaves) in just one song !!! 🔥🔥🔥
To the World, UNIVERSE rather: Watch out as MORISSETTE AMON herself achieved 5.2 Octaves (A2-D8), just a semi note to Mariah Carey which has 5.3 Octaves.
    The Asia’s Phoenix represent 😍😍🔥🔥🔥

You’ll even be more impressed with her “Akin Ka Na Lang”. It’s the gold standard!!! This is nothing compared to that song.

I personally prefer this and Never Enough, I just think they are better songs. That said, she shows off some things in Akin Ka Na Lang that you don't get to see in most songs (because it's her song, so it's tailored to her abilities).

Here's a trivia for you and your viewers who are new to Morissette:
Legendary singer and songwriter Rhett Lawrence who played an instumental role in the rise to fame of Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Kelly Clarkson, Blackeyed Peas and many Grammy winners/ Hall Of Famers discovered Morissette's videos on youtube.
Absolutely impressed, Rhett took a 20hr flight halfway across the globe just to see her live in concert and discuss a collaboration album.
They are now working on one under international giant music label Capitol Records with another legend, Quincy Jones, as project advisor.
Rhett described Morissette's talent as "unparalleled" and said she is "definitely future legend".
She is so amazing such that she has become a favorite of many many vocal coaches and reactors worldwide- generating for such channels tons of subs and tens of millions of views, with a number of channels getting upwards of a million views on a single reaction video.
Her originals and covers are now hugely popular. Many of her covers like Secret Love Song (114M), Against All Odds (63M), Never Enough (19M), Your Are The Reason (44M) and others have become the top viewed covers of those songs on social media.
Other than Rhett, she has awed the likes of Jessie J, members of Little Mix, Jason Derulo, David Foster, Michael Bolton (with whom she is co-hosting an upcoming talent show) and many other internationl music celebrities and those from her country as well.
Her fans are in the millions and growing exponentially worldwide- making her the most watched singer from the Philippines.
What is amazing is that she accomplished the feat despite the fact that social media remains mainly as her international platform and she did it without the backing of any big international label.
