Maddalena la mejor pupila de un poeta condenado a muerte. El cine inmortalizó esta aria por allá en 1993, en la voz de la eterna Callas. Ich habe vorher einige Sängerinnen der 50/60er Jahre des vorigen Jahrhunderts gehört! Vor allem Renata Tebaldi - auch mit dieser Arie! Mein Eindruck: Frau Hernandez ist die einzige Sängerin heute, die die Erinnerung an die goldenen Jahre der Oper wiederbelebt! Chapeau!

I missed chest voice on the first a-mo-o-re @5:43 but fortunately she resumed chest following. But this is not necessarily a bad thing, in all of her chest singing, she never loses focus and voical balance, which means it will remain healthy for a long time.

These attributes can even make you forget for the lack of voice power, acting skills and even a big instrument. Shirely Verrett had this stage presence that made you not wanna blink. Dimitrova looked so STATELY ON stage that we did not care she could not act. SAIOA has this REGAL presence on stage which takes you back in time. THIS IS RARE, one cannot fake it or reproduce it. Oui bien sûr, elle est remarquable, mais le solo de violoncelle, quelqu'un l'a-t-il juste remarqué, interprété ici magistralement par une autre grande artiste!!? Pas un geste vers elle, ni du chef, ni de la chanteuse, quelle tristesse!! Sans ce solo sublime l'air n'existe pas. Bravo a cette magnifique violoncelliste!!
