    The boy's very lucky. When I was his age, I wasn't allowed any railway (not even Lego trains) as my dad had a big model railway.
    (Me and my brother also weren't allowed records/record players/cassette tapes as my dad also had a massive collection of LPs and was also a hifi buff. Dads eh?)

      Not even Lego trains! I’m shocked they’re great, I only had the one but that chassis was used for everything class 47, pannier tank a narrow gauge engine. Did your dad at least let you use his railway?

      It’s quite fun and keeps things interesting but the hardest part is adapting to your brain to scale I thought the bridge was going to be too low to go over the road but i was looking at it through oo gauge eyes

    Looking good, nice to see a younger generation enjoying model railways as according to the press it’s a dying art, which would be a shame

      It certainly is, I think with my kids generation there seems to be more of an interest in this sort of thing maybe the glossy shine of technology is just everyday to them and this sort thing seems different and intresting
