At about 2:15, you can see Yuroichi drawing lines in yellow that look like the blue lines on the Quincies. This just makes me think it would have been cool if there was even one Soul Reaper that had studied the Quincies and was capable of either using their techniques or at least mimicking them with advanced Hado techniques. Like if the Soul Reapers had one among them that respected the old Quincies (not the invaders, obviously, but like Uryu's grandpa) and so he developed similar techniques for the Soul Society but couldn't find anyone who would use them. And like Yuroichi, these mimicked powers would present as a yellow Quincy instead of a blue one.
