I will be 60 this summer and I had cystic acne on my cheeks starting when I was 13.
God bless my mother, she couldn't afford it but she took me to a dermatologist right before I started High school. I was so self-conscious that I would hide my face like lay my hand across my nose to cover up my cheeks and I prayed every night to have nice skin.
After 2 years of going to the dermatologist, it helped and I kind of outgrew the acne at the same time. By the time I was a senior my face was decent very decent.
It is so hard for kids who struggle with acne. I know the pain and I'm way past it but I feel for these kids that it affects them.
Today I actually get a lot of comments on my skin. Ever since I had acne, I started taking really good care of my skin and have done so for many many many many many years.
I thank God everyday for my good skin that I prayed for when I was 13

These Vids do help peeps, know when I'm getting stressed out I try to find a few good popping Vids where I used to try to find them on myself instead (so much so I'd actually dig into myself to find something even if it wasn't ready to go I dug it till it went, now I can watch some of these Vids to reduce the stress 😊💖😊)

I had Acne at 10 and all the kids at school made fun of me now at 54 I can say it definitely made an impact on my self esteem.

12/13 is young? Dr Lee I was 10 and had cystic acne so severe my face had hard marble sized lumps and one of my school bullies would throw acne pads at me, one time grinding one into my face until I cried.

Oh you have no idea how painful those little suckers on the back can be. Mine sometimes feel like needles underneath my skin. And under my bra line it's extra painful. If I had a doc who would just pop all my back blackheads I'd definitely be going to them regularly.
