In the final scene, the senior cop who let go of the evidence (Soubin's shirt piece) was the same cop whose wife eloped with the driver. Since he knows the pain of a wife cheating on husband, he let Soubin go.
even though he knows the pain n shit... the fact that the thought of what if shoubin killed his wife and that cheater didnt come into his mind is boggling. Anyways its a character inside a story lol
It's a lame reason to let someone go like that.
I think that point is missed by them when watching...Imagine if they come to know later, expression on their face

Guys, Soubin didn't feed him his wife, just the still-born baby...He says 'I wanted to feed you what you created and watch you eat it'
And earlier in the movie he doesn't eat because the meal doesn't have any meat (the meal prepared by 'Mr. Vegetable'), so it's a nice diversion from when he doesn't eat the second time
Also, he genuinely gets scared looking at the blood in the stream because of the wild animals in the region...another nice diversion

i think you guys forgot the part but the reason why the cop let him go is because earlier it was said that cop’s wife ran away with that driver,so he knows that feeling

I think he made the other guy eat the baby...I just realised it now when I read the subtitle.
He got the leeches when he walked through the place.. I know from personal experience in Munnar and other forests in Kerala, those things just latch onto you. And both the stung and the leech thing was just added for more details. The blood...no idea and the 4th wall, he might be looking outside the window or the door, he's lost in thought and just glances...we will do that right?
