Thank you so much! I agree with the first comment, you make great videos that we all can learn from 😊.. I told my daughter that having speed humps is usually a sign that the road is a possible 20mph rather than 30, as the signs on that road in Norwich are not clear
When dual carriage route ends and 60 starts ? Sometimes there are only National Speed Limit signs and no obvious indication when exactly 70 mph ends , I try to always drop back to 60 mph at the end of the middle route divider , but many cars carry 70 mph..I was wonder today when exactly 70 finishes and 60 starts when no signs around ?
Interesting wrist watch......my golden rule after driving for 36 years slow down to 30 mph or 25 mph it's a nice day so the police speed traps will be out if I see a speed trap give them a gesture of thanks
Hi. If the 20 mph sign is in rectangular and the lights are not flashing, than the official speed limit would still be 30mph. However, if the 20mph sign is in red circle, than lights flashing or no lights flashing - its 20.
Hi my question is about variable speed limits if the previous sign was a 60 (or less) , does the previous variable speed still apply when nothing is displayed on the matrix sign, or does a blank sign mean it is back to 70? I have noticed that occasionally there will not be a national speed limit sign displayed to indicate 'back to normal'!?
Hi 👋 that's an excellent question. Unfortunately, I'm not 100% sure. The Highway Code say that the variable speed is in force until you get another sign such as national speed limit. However, now that you have mentioned it, I do recall seeing this myself. I will stay on the side of caution and continue to drive at the lower speed for a bit and keep look out for signage. If no signs for a mile, I would increase speed, assuming that some idiot as made a mistake
If 20 mph is the new 30 then it should be posted ,wirh repeater signs , as it seems 30 will be replaced by 20 in the long (and slow) run, both 20 and 30 should have qualifying repeater plates, until unfortunately 30 is gone, as too dangerous, seemingly, practically over night.......
The system needs updating for example you can drive at 60mph on country roads then only 50mph on three lane motorways none of it makes any sense thanks to stupid politicians
No, the highway code with its speed criteria is a national UK standard. Same way as the MOT emissions test is UK universal, unless you're in a rip off "acronym zone". I think sadly 30Mph will be phased out for 20 mph,and bicyclists and E scooterists will whizz past us oblivious to their speed as no device is needed to be fitted, and nor do they care.......
Given the quality of your content, this channel should have a million subscribers! Really great information. Cheers..
God bless your words. Thank you

Wonderful! That was good advice given to your daughter 😀

Helli Aggie 🖐Interesting question. The 70 mph will end as soon as th dual carriageway ends. Watch my short which i will upload today
@@dtc_uk thank you 😊, I look forward to it .. would you be able to tell more about speed limit on sleep route to motorways

Hi. The watch is solar powered. Thanks for the golden rule
Are you saying even if 20MPH zoon started as you showed sign, and if there are no flashing lights on zebra crossing, it’s mean road is still 30mph ?

Thank you Ian for your comment. Its a good Suggestion
@@dtc_uk I have moments....... 😁
When you turned to the main road there was a national speed limit sign
Hello 👋 Thanks for commenting. At what stage in the video?
@@dtc_ukI think they mean at 3:12 but that doesn’t look like a national speed limit because it is not a solid line going through the circle

Hi. Thanks for commenting. Systems always need updating. We should always be trying to make progress. Thanks for commenting

Hello. Sorry but i did ot understand your comment
30 mph
😂
We already have these on one of our roads. Something else for the idiots to ignore 😂
Hello Jonathan 🖐Thanks for expressing your view
The council's impose their own rules about it.
Yes, but is that right?
