Around 1966-67 in Olongapo at the Club Sphinx (i think) on Rizal Avenue, The Coronets used to play.. I wasn't sure who they were and never met them personally to find out who they were but my band and I were familiar with the name The Coronets of Faithful Love fame.. I/we were a young band playing next door and we would sneak in to watch and listen to them play.. They had a "Johnny Mathis" singer as I recall, and they did pretty good Righteous Brothers renditions too..a great band.. We never heard them play Faithful Love or we never knew if Cesar Manalili was in that group or if it was The Coronets that played on the radio... Would be glad to know, a part of my young lie... We stayed in Olongapo until we left for Okinawa and Tokyo in 1970...
