Curious if this inverter will power your home refrigerator. My home fridge label says it pulls 6 amps (6X120=720W). I know there is a high start up but with the remaining capacity (1000w-720w=280w) plus the claimed 2000w surge, I think it would handle running the fridge.

Yeah it will, but only for a little over an hour though with this 100ah battery.

You sure your fridge draws that much power? Mine is like 120w. Huge fridge.

That's great, and yeah. I tested it in this video. ua-cam.com/video/weWAHTiyd00/v-deo.htmlsi=-VFTTMLtynjq2Age

@mezamichale and@@aussiegruber86 It's usually 6ah while the defroster is on. That would rarely run throughout the day unless the fridge has a frost buildup problem. A well running modern fridge and inverter efficiency should only consume anywhere from ~700Wh per 24 hours (assuming you are only opening it when needed to keep the cold in) and about 1300Wh per 24 hours to bring fridge from room temp to cold/freezing. My Fridge says its max draw is 265w but only when defrosting for comparison. On average it consumed 36Wh average over a week of measuring. So the answer does require measuring the daily power requirements of your particular fridge and figuring out the Wh with a kill-a-watt measurement device, but on calculating the math it should run for roughly 1200Wh / 36W = 33 hours on a 12V 100Ah battery.

Never, ever buy a high frequency, transformerless inverter like this one if your serious about survival. Cheap, lightweight, high frequency inverters off a far shorter life expectancy than low frequency, transformer based inverters and high frequency inverter offer a far poorer surge capacity to start and run inductive loads.

Could you provide any examples of what you are describing that are 1000-1500 watts? I am a volunteer at my local fire department and I am looking to add one to my SUV for when i am at calls for long periods of time?

Hysolis manufactures a self contained low frequency, transformer based solar generator unit with an internal battery called the MPS 3K Solar Generator. It's a 3kW unit though. What I would suggest instead is a 1.5kW 12 Volt low frequency inverter charger like something from Sigineer Power. You could wire it directly to an external LFP battery or your SUV's battery to power your emergency loads. This inverter would give you a full 4,500 watt surge capacity to start heavy inductive/motor loads and it will last far longer than one of those cheap, low surge high frequency units. @@SplexideOfficial
