Note: This Heat Transfer lecture series (recorded in Spring 2020) will eventually replace the earlier Heat Transfer series (recorded in Fall 2015) in a couple years. The old lecture series had some errors and was lower quality.

Taking heat transfer this upcoming semester. He's probably one of the best Heat Transfer and Fluid Mechanics Prof out there. I wish we had quality professors like these at my university.

For the first example, he says that either way you solve it you'll get 5500, but actually if you solve it by substituting T0 to the second equation q"=k/L(T0-Ti) you get 5600 and not 5500, can someone explain why? what was wrong? Are they actually supposed to be the same?

Calculating T_0 gets me 87.75 C which gets 5500 in the second equation. Seems like he just rounded it on the whiteboard.
