Note: This Heat Transfer lecture series (recorded in Spring 2020) will eventually replace the earlier Heat Transfer series (recorded in Fall 2015) in a couple years. The old lecture series had some errors and was lower quality.

This lecture series was recorded live at Cal Poly Pomona during Spring 2020. The textbook is "Fundamentals of Heat and Mass Transfer", Bergman et al., 8th Edition.
Taking heat transfer this upcoming semester. He's probably one of the best Heat Transfer and Fluid Mechanics Prof out there. I wish we had quality professors like these at my university.

Grateful to live in a era where we can get such class level of education from anywhere throughout the world...
thank you sir really helpful
love from India Assam
Really appreciate your style of teaching! Doing this subject at the moment and these videos have helped tremendously.
:D
he is a so good professor. he knows what he s talking 100% and he is teaching with ease.
3/37, great class. I am really happy to have found these videos.
aweeee! thank you for re-recording the videos!!!!
Thanks ! Wonderful Heat Transfer lectures !
thank you very much for the lectures , can you please record mechanical vibration lectures too?
Yes please, I would like to watch it too 🙏
Great professor!
Thank you!!!, but can you provide me with the book name and version please
I am so delighted with this content, my best regards from Universidad de Piura, currently taking heat transfer
thank you so much sir
Thank you indeed Sir.
I don't get it!
Great explanation!, but don't understand, how this video has 56K views and just 700 Likes?!
We don't deserve you Prof. John.
Thanks a lot!
Tell all your friends!!
high quality and for free.. thx alot, student from Taiwan here
Thank you
can we get the book that have this figurs ؟
The Heat Transfer Messiah!
this is better!
For the first example, he says that either way you solve it you'll get 5500, but actually if you solve it by substituting T0 to the second equation q"=k/L(T0-Ti) you get 5600 and not 5500, can someone explain why? what was wrong? Are they actually supposed to be the same?

How thermal conductivity of solids, liquids and gases varies
Calculating T_0 gets me 87.75 C which gets 5500 in the second equation. Seems like he just rounded it on the whiteboard.
To= 85.275 C thats what I'm getting, seems correct when i check with Cond & Conven. I think the professor made a small mistake.
