My bud got his truck tuned from Mr. Bartolone himself. Lucky guy! Now get out there and bring home some trophies.

Nice, it’s really cool to see how well Chris knows 5th scale engines. I come from nitro and those things can be a pain to tune sometimes, but I have heard that 5th scales are really easy to tune. From your experience how easy are that to tune? With nitro, the more power your making the more fineky the engine is, is that also true with 5th scale?? Also what is the average running cost of a 5th scale, I can save up for one but I don’t know if I will be able to keep up with the price of parts, gas, oils, upgrades for the track. Thanks man, great video!!

In my honest opinion, nitro is easier to tune, it shows it a lot better, if it’s lean you will right off the bat get a bog, and the more aggressive the porting is the more finicky the tune will be

Also the 5t is pretty much the most durable you can get, I haven’t broken any parts lately, I just need to learn the tuning, the engines also last longer

    I was going to buy a 56t with a 20t pinion

If your racing, run a 19t. If it’s a very tight track 18t. If wide open long straights run a 21t. I recommend getting all 3 with inserts. 20t is stock
